You've probably already heard this, but... There's technically four infernal iron(/alloy) in act 1. One of which is in the Grymforge. But I guess there's enough infernal iron in Act 2 that Karlach can be secure no matter what, 'cause the game devs like you.

I know I'm late but something I do with the elevators that fixes it for me at least, is going back to the main menu and then load back in and the elevator works fine seems like a hard reset of the map just fixes it

You can actually beat the game without anyone dying or being stuck as a mindflayer. If you pick Gale Origin and turn into a illithid Mystra will turn Gale back into a human.

This was one of the trophies I accidentally god on my 2nd playthrough and made my brother stopped playing out of jealousy because he didn't have Mattis in Last Light Inn.

That ending scene with karlach sharing that cigar with you saying how to handle demons made me never want to play the game again. I had already achieved perfection in one playthrough.

The hardest thing here is romancing Karlach. OMG HER ROMANCE IS SO BUGGED IM NEVER TRYING THAT BS AGAIN

You can just not pick Will up. You don't have to kill him you can just leave him at the Grove and not recruit him I mean come on what the f***

For the attack on The Young tiefling with the telescope at the beginning of the Grove you can just walk up the opposite way and you'll instantly get into combat with the attacker and save her life you don't have to do this weird hard mode and who kills the tflings that caught laezel?! Like just tell him you got it and they walk away 😂 some of this advice is really bad and like I don't know if it's from an earlier patch or if you're just playing evil because I saved all the tflings on my first run just by being good and convincing people not to be dumb and to help each other.

I played as origin Karlach in a honor run when I got the achievement saving all tieflings (and it wasn't even intentional). I didn't even do Arka vs Sazza scene or saving Nadira from bugbear assassin, I also didn't save the kid from harpies. Didn't trigger those scenes at all. You practically only have to focus on Rolan, Lia, Cal make sure they make it to Last Light (at least that Rolan is in LL). After talking to him, before you enter the deeper part of the shadow curse, you have to save him from two shadows quickly. Then rescue the prisoners at moonrise, rescue Zevlor in the mindflayer colony before ketheric fight. Oh yeah ofc saving Arabella from the druids. All this as far as I recall at least. And ofc make sure Rolan doesn't die in loroakan fight. I also ignored talking to isobel there so at least nobody would die for sure. You only don't get a permanent necrotic resistance buff if ignoring isobel. So, you would take a bit more damage from stuff in act 2 (myrkul fight for one, and oliver fight (oliver's legendary action is quite something haha don't have your party grouped up together). With necrotic resistance buff you take significantly less damage from it, but talking to isobel means risking a lot and can't afford that, so it's better to just ignore her.

Probably a bit late, but I wanna point out that Evasion is specifically for Dex saves. Monks and Rouges get this ability as well. So it's important to diversify the kinds of saving throws you can inflict. Also, i'm assuming the reason why everything Evasion is pretty much just to counter Fireball, since it was pretty much designed to be overpowered in 5e.

Just to make your reload hurt even more, you don't have to save the girl from the bugbear assassination to get the achievement. I didn't save her and still got the achievement on my first playthrough.

23:20 common she spents the entire came complaining that all she wants is a cool pich of beer (well ok and to touch people) but how the hack can you not pick beer there -_-

If anyone gets the elevator bug, respec to bard and short rest to revive the teammate that made saving throws. Also send one person from now on like they said for the waypoint.

This is the first time I hear about Wyll having to die for Karlach’s romance scenes to play out. But while I regret taking out Minthara on my first playthrough via throwing her into an abyss (no, not by destroying the bridge, but simply by Thunderwave 😊), the idea of having to do a run without Wyll sounds almost tempting. He’s so annoyingly righteous that it comes off as borderline self-righteous at times, even though he always tries to frame himself as humble and selfless. This guy has some severe main-character syndrome. That said, I’ve heard of somebody who romanced Karlach while playing as origin Wyll (because he was the first who mentioned that “pegging” scene 🤦). So I guess that’s possible, without the extra cutscenes playing?

At least you don’t have to save Arabella’s parents (who are also tieflings), because I don’t know if that’s even possible.

So I know I’m a bit late, but Karlach is a case of needing to be perfect with it. My recommendation is to get her as soon as you get the quest to find her and do as many approval ratings before doing the tiefling party, this includes ending the goblin raid as that’s 10+ approval. Before the party, give her one piece of infernal iron and you should get the option to kiss her. Later at the party talk to her about having an idea on how to cool her down, as the kiss won’t work with her being too hot. Use an ice spell or throw water at her and then kiss her. From here just raise approval until act two where you can give her a piece of infernal iron again HOWEVER. When you reach the last night inn, there are several long rest events that take priority over Karlach. My recommendation is to go through each long rest until you have a night where you don’t have anymore events, then give Karlach the second piece of iron so that she now has nothing taking priority over her event. I know it’s complicated and I messed up as well when I first tried

I've never had the elevator glitch happen to me but I've seen so many runs ended by that. Half orc supremacy really clutched up.
