Catton is pound for pound the best player in the draft so trade Matheson and 25 pick for Lindstrom from Anaheim and pick Catton at 5th pick and we have Dach, Slaf and Lindstrom, and Suzuki for a power forward for each line with Beck, Evans and Armia as the best 4th line in MTL in decades.

So I just watched your mock draft (en Français) where you had my Sens taking Yak at 7. I really like him. I just don’t know if you take him at 7. I really feel like Ottawa needs to take best player available, with SOME thought for positional lead. It’s no secret the Sens would want a RD. I just don’t know how much you need to reach for one. We have had no first round pick the last couple years. Our last top ten pick (10th overall in 2021) was completely wasted on reaching for a guy that could have been had way later. And if he wasn’t available later, then you just don’t take him. I’m talking about Tyler Boucher. This is Ottawa’s first chance to get a good prospect since the 2020 draft. I’d be much more comfortable drafting someone with a more certain level of promise. I’d rather draft a for sure third line winger than a defenceman who might or might not become an effective middle pairing D man. My issue with Yakemchuk is that so many people seem to question his skating. In my opinion, big bodied D men NEED to have good skating, otherwise they just end up being bottom pairing goons. And if Yak’s offence DOESNT translate to the NHL level, then that is all he will be. A bottom pairing or even 7th D, that is only good at chasing hits and constantly pulling himself out of position. So he’s probably better for a team with a deeper prospect pool to take a gamble on. I’d prefer Parekh as a RD, if he’d be available, as his skating and skills make him a mini Karlsson. And he’s got a much higher floor than Yakemchuk. If Parekh isn’t available, I’d much rather go for a forward like Eiserman, Iginla, or Helenius. Or even guys like Brandsegg-Nygård or Sennecke. Then of course there’s the option of taking LD in Silayev or Buium. Either way you slice it, there’s gonna be LOTS of good guys available at 7. Sorry I wrote a book. And I didn’t proofread it. So sorry if there’s mistake. Also; I’ve seen a FEW people picking Yakemchuk for Ottawa. So what the hell do I know!. 😱 lol

Question: What does the hockey player do when he doesn't have the puck? .... Does he have more than 7 hits per 60 minutes? … How well can he defend the other team's best player? .... Can he play the power play?... Can he play the penalty kill ?....Can he play 3rd or 4th line if the first 2 does not work out.? ....Can he intimidate your opponents? .... Does he have fire in his eyes when the hockey game is tied? .... Does he smile if he loses the game or is he upset when he loses?

I would disagree..iginla has turned it up this year and his u18 performances has raised his market level. Hes 17 as well and he is this good. Catton..too small. Habs should learn from the last 5 years...no size hurts in playoffss

Catton is going to be a special teams weapon... I think he'll be extremely useful

I would love to sacrifice a few assets to move up in that draft and get Demidov. Then again they passed on Michkov which was ranked even higher than Demidov.

i think habs should do 2 things if demidov and lindstrom are gone at 5. move down to position 9 or 10. use winnipegs 1st and the assets you get to move down to get pick 10 or 11. draft the 2 best forwards on the board back to back. thoughts? catton an sennecke or eiserman? would be nice. covers our bases.

How does Reinbacker compare with this year's d-Men roster? That's what I would really want to know because we sacrificed a lot last year for him, and now that we desperately need a forward, we will probably pass on a d-man that is more talented than him... This is making me nervous, it could turn out to be the biggest mistake of the Habs, added to KK's selection... Errors like this have permanent consequences in the teams future. Imagine if we had already locked Michkov or Benson and we were going after anything that is amazing, regardless of position... Not the same outcome for the team at all..

Is it fair to compare Catton to Will Smith? Both centers, same size, elite playmaking abilities, high IQ, underrated shot. 54 goals, 116 pts for Catton this year which is nuts, not playing with a Leonard or Perreault like Will Smith. We wanted a Will Smith last year for Montreal. I feel like Catton could be that type of player

Rendus là, ça devrait être Catton ou Iginla pour le CH, et si c'est le cas, ils devraient tout faire pour soutirer qqch aux Coyotes, Senateurs ou à utah pour changer de place avec eux, car avant Calgary, c'est pas mal sûr que Catton et Iginla seront encore là.

Pour moi, Je crois Que Demidov, Iginla Konsta Lindstrom ou Sennecke sont les meilleures options. Lindstrom à subì des blessures. Donc c’est un gros risque mais si il peut performer aprés la blessure donc c’est une bonne choix. Demidov est une bonne choix aussi. J’espere Que il eat disponibile à 5. Aussi Hughes n’as pas choisi Mitchkov en 2023 donc il ya ça aussi. Konsta bon option car il joue en Finlande et une Bonne position ah centre et ailier ausssi. Sennecke bon option et Iginla Aussi parce Que ils sont capables de jouer avec une club comme les canadiens. Ils sont fort et Hughes vent des joueurs comme ça. Aussi pour Iginla sont pere est une Cette année juste une attaquant pas défenseur.
