Senecke kinda reminds me of Brandon Coe pre AHL a little

Surin has 10 points through 4 MHL playoff games, compared to Demidov who has 5 😮 Surin is bigger and far more physical, in addition to being 8 months younger.

Yeah, he's very good but I wouldn't put him in the same conversation as Demidov imo.
I'd be excited to get him though.

@@bluechipprospect Yeah Surin Is definitely a great prospect and I’m hoping we are able to get him, But yeah not on the level of Demidov.. On the other hand how much times have we said a player is not on the level of one player and they end up being a much better player…. Demidov is special but you never know.

I'm a fan of EJ Emery. HIs D game is very polished and has the skating and length to cover a lot of ground. Not the sexiest pick, I know, but he's a great complement to any of Hutson/Xhekaj/Engstrom. Barron and Mailloux don't bring any stability to the right side, and it can't fall all on Reinbacher.

He's a Mattias Samuelsson type of pick. He certainly deserves to be picked somewhere in that range which is why I had him in the podcast.

I really want Montreal to draft Yegor Surin with their second first round pick but the Habs most likely end up trading Winnipeg’s first…

Yeah I definitely don't expect them to draft with it.

Your opinion of Owen Beck is a bit arrogant. What’s funny is how confident you are in saying these things.

Was it ? I absolutely did not mean for it to sound that way.
When I record videos, it's never one take, I listen back to what I say and change it if I don't like how it sounds. In a podcast, it's one take so it's possible that it turned out that way but it really wasn't my intention.
You mean I'm confident when saying that he's limited to bottom 6 role ? If so, yes I am but that's only my opinion. Its an educated opinion since I watch them so much but it's still just an opinion. But funnily enough, I always try to water down my negative opinions so I don't sound like I'm too confident or beating down on a player. I think Beck is going to be valuable player for us but I also think that if he's in our top 6, we're in trouble. The offense seems too limited to me to be that type of player who can consistently produce in the NHL. Maybe I'm wrong but he's 20. Development isn't done but the runway is much shorter.

Dumais. Busted for DWI and suspended by his team for 5 games.

I don't sont care about past racism , if he's proven himself to be a top tier talent then why drop him in then why drop him in the draft? You can just you know DEVELOP HIM and specifically keep an eye out for racism i guess , we all did dumb things here look....habs drafted mailloux with all the issues he had(maybe worse then racism idc) and now habs fans are all over that kid....like cmon who fuckin cares( coming from a black guy)

    • @bluechipprospect

I think the difference is the repeated stuff. If it was a one time thing like Mailloux, you can learn from past mistakes. If you've been kicked out of 6 teams at 14-15, if you bullied other kids, if parents have taken their kids out of programs because they didn't want their kids with him and then you ad racist comments and the swastika things.
That's a lot to just brush off. I don't know what's true and what's not so I don't really have an opinion but I'm pretty sure the athletic investigative journalists did their due diligence on the story and wouldn't have pushed it out if it wasn't true.
I expect teams to do their own due diligence but if it turned out to be all true, I wouldn't draft him.

@@bluechipprospect im just tired of hearing racism everywhere for everything , ok he got kicked from teams but the racism angle just comes across as fake to me i need proof, i dont even know what thw kids name is but if hes worth talking about in a what if we could get this player in the late first round typa deal, he must be that much better then the average if he has all the bagadge and we still mention him

Mesar is a write-off. Terrible pick, Bobrov has a history of bad Euro picks, Mesar is the latest.

    • @bluechipprospect

I think he has a very high chance to reach the NHL because he's such a great skater and he's also very competitive but in what capacity? That's the question. It has to be bottom 6 at this point unless something major changes which I doubt.

@@bluechipprospectBarely over a point per game through 2 OHL seasons, and he's 20 years old. On a loaded junior team. If he wasn't signed right after the draft he wouldn't be signed at all.
