Приєднався 26 лют 2021
Welcome to Two Wheeled Adventures UK - we are a channel dedicated to promoting all things to do with adventure motorbikes and adventure bike travel in the UK. We aim to bring you stimulating content which will allow you to get out on your bike and ride the best places, and importantly, get off-road and find the ultimate UK adventure.
We will be riding many of the byways and green lanes in England and Wales, as well as the TET (Trans Euro Trail), and our great roads in the UK from Ipswich to Inverness, Southern Cornwall to Snowdonia. Along the way we'll be camping and sometimes wild camping from our bikes, because we believe true motorbike adventures happen outdoors, not in a hotel!

As ever our Honda CRF 450L was brilliant and a pleasure to ride, the Kenda Enduro Tyres we were using worked great, definitely use them again. How do you clean your air filter? Surely No Toil is the best system?
gonna do this one Tuesday! as this is a beginner kinda route, where in Essex/ Suffolk has some more advanced routes? (I'm on a 450)
You qas doing so well man! Sorry about the glasses pal! Keep your head up mate you smashed it
I'm not running Rip n Roll goggles anymore, they do restrict your vision a bit and give you a blind spot - looking forward to the race now, love being at events surrounded by my kind of people - happy new year buddy 💪
@twowheeledadventuresuk2739 nice one mate! I'm super excited for this race! Happy new year and merry Xmas mate
At 20.54 what a legend! Offering to help in a race
Just booked 😂😂 shitting it
Just remember, it's your race/ride, go at your pace - I probably went off too fast in this one and was blowing out my arse trying to ride too fast. I'm looking forward to the 11th tho, it's a great event, wanna stop and watch Billy Bolt in the Xtreme 👌👍
Thank you for the advice will defo take my time! Arm pump gets me everytime. Thanks again @twowheeledadventuresuk2739
good video as always mate! are you running mousse's on your 450?
@@bobbylord9948 no I’ve only ever run inner tubes, mostly go with 15 psi but sometimes lower to 13 when racing or 12 on a track 👍
Their tent selection is awesome.
Fantastic video great tips there very informative, keep up the great work.
Hi mate, off topic question…. How do you stop panel that sits over the exhaust from melting? I run a full fmf system and I’ve melted two panels now 😂
@@DG-tj6xq I did add an extra layer of the reflective stuff on the inside but it doesn’t get that hot. I’ve read somewhere that it’s the mix that causes it to get hot. I’ve got my vortex as per their manual for the fmf pipe 👍
Have you ever thought of using a duel sport helmet. I’ve just bought one so can’t say how good they are, but a lot of my mates use them for green lanning.
@@MadEllis07 I did a review of the Bell MX9 adventure lid for winter riding - they are no use for racing tho, visor would get smashed in the roost, they are too warm often as well as the don’t vent as well. But the Mell MX9 with goggles and using the visor is a good option for general riding 👍
@@twowheeledadventuresuk2739 that’s the helmet I’ve just bought, bell mx9. Supposed to be great for just a bit of green lanning. Suppose the difference is your racing, so roosting is a prob
Best review on this tent on UA-cam. Well done! Plus it sounds like Ricky Gervais doing the review. :) You covered all the key information, and I like that you showed that a chair fits inside in case of inclement weather. The footprint looks like a great fit for this tent, too.
@@kayakangler7683 thanks - it’s a great tent and I’m very happy with the setup, all works very well together, regards Ricky… 👍😂🥸
When I lived in Spain a guy I knew did scubadiveing he told me to colour in the inside of my goggles with a white crayola wax crayon now I don't know if it has to be white and the brand crayola as I have ner tried anything different so after colouring in all the inside and out wipe off with dry tissue my goggles havnt steamed up ever again and the water runs of the outside but you do have too do this on the outside every week or so but the inside lasts forever I know it sounds stupid and I thought it was a joke myself at first but It works I do it on my visors too
@@manda317 interesting- thanks 👍
I had my mini praxis taken off me and on site it says it legal even on goigle it says its legal , im currently on going with case
Really interesting that Mike and thanks for sharing your thoughts. I’ll definitely have a go at that. Christmas and New Year greetings to you and yours and thanks again.
@@SteveInskip merry Christmas dude - appreciate your comments and feedback, hope you have a blast on the 450L in 2025 👍🎉💪
tighten the straps a bit too, they look pretty loose compared to mine
What strap?
Idea: for really extreme conditions where you do not want to stop, take those leatt goggles and stick armour vision on the outside and INSIDE as well 👍
You should definitely get LASIK. Best thing I ever did. I can see like Tiger Woods now
In watching various videos on engine mods for the CRF300’s, there’s an airbox mod where a section is removed from the side lid and in its place a film of “frogskinz” (sp?) is stuck…. Allows air to pass but not water. Dunno if that material is available in sheets or a roll, but was thinking that if that were stuck on the top of the Leatt MTB goggles, that may help? Aside from that, as a complete newb to trail riding I’ve been binge watching your vids Mike. Thoroughly enjoyed your no BS approach as well as the routes you’re taking us on. Brilliant channel, keep up the good work and Merry Christmas!
(550 Performance make that airbox lid, so you can see what I’m blithering about)
Foggy goggles is the bane of my life. I take the top and bottom foam out of standard goggles, helps a bit. But i have dry eyes and the extra airflow causes a new problem! Damned if you do and damned if you dont.
So, I tried this today, having not watched this fully through - wanting to keep the route a surprise. That bit you mentioned about getting your Triumph Tiger stuck.... ua-cam.com/video/rteUm1crlbc/v-deo.html
@@xcellardoor yep, defo got that t-shirt… 😵💫🤦♂️🤬
Really valued upload Mike, as you know from baja chat I do suffered from my goggles too Armour vision defo an improvement on big puddle wash outs, bought myself a 100% OTG goggles with the double visor that I’ve attached the vision armour to it , I shall do this mod to then next 💥thanks mate , Carlos from Kent
@@ADEngineeringUK hope you’re well mate, have a great Christmas buddy 👍
You can't duplicate the difference you get in a race trying to pass 20 other riders or the start of a race like you say. You get dirt everywhere especially in mud races. Merry Christmas buddy, stay safe in the New Year.
Oh wear a headband under your helmet mate 👋🤠👍
@@cliff1551 tried that, didn’t stop the misting up 👍
Hey mate wear your goggles under your visor ye, when you come to water put your visor down and when your through water lift your visor up hence keeping your goggles reasonably clean 👋🤠👍
@@cliff1551 tried it - leaves me asking the question of why don’t the top racers do this?
@@twowheeledadventuresuk2739 they do ,most of them take goggles off and wear them on there arm,but this idea comes from some of the greatest sand racers out there ,try it .works for me .
Gonna give that a try 👍
Glad i ve seen this. Sold ! Fuelling might be a pain 690
Thank you very much again for posting the GPX file!
Is 27 wheel hp not enough for a dual sport with awesome suspension and nice weight
Depends on the rider I guess, I race my bike so the 45hp I have now is great - also makes it very safe to overtake on the road, the CRF300 rally etc are a bit sluggish and can be a bit dangerous - obviously all down to the rider, and even if you had a 100hp it's the bit in your right hand that determines if it's a chilled ride or not
Its easy enough to modify the lock on most multitools
without the lock there's nothing to hold the blade in place on most of my knives and multitools as they aren't a slip joint as well as a lock, so it would make them pretty dangerous
Just happened upon your channel watched the garden pitch video then this one, great reviews, I have to agree, small tents aren't anyway near as comfortable as these, being a cyclists, motorbike rider, beer and whisky drinker throughly enjoyed the video I have subscribed. Thanks for taking the time to make these videos. 👍
How do you transport the dog on the bike?
@@Exiledk alas the dog only comes when we go in the van 👍
Hi mate, great video as always! Defo try this route out. What bike would you do the Spanish ACT on, thinking of doing the same next year hopefully but unsure wether to take the 450L or the Tuareg
@@DG-tj6xq thinking of doing the ACT Pyrenees but possibly do a bit of the TET from Santander to the end of the ACT, then just head towards Perpignan until we run out of time and then head up thru France home (drive home possibly take 3 days to Calais). From what I’ve seen the ACT Pyrenees looks dead easy and with the ride home probably best on the T7
Hi merry crimbo . Watched all your vids i have 1 question left with th t7 can I support a pavilion and enough Gear for 2. thx be safe
@@manda317 simple answer is yes - but obviously depends on how much kit and the 2 on the bike
Yep bit of a multi question I know but I'll go for it as it's only ever be my kids . Thx
Great vid Mike. Great roads for the Tenere. For gloves, it depends on the jacket cuffs. My normal go-to gloves neither go over nor under one of my jackets. There’s a sort of battle every time I tog up. 😂😂
@@SteveInskip tell me about it - I’ve got some decent Revit heated gloves but I never wear them because they neither go under or over the sleeve easily, I get so stressed putting them on it rattles me, and just once you’re sorted you realise you need to take them off to fiddle with something with bare hands…. 😩😤🤬
That red and white lighthouse is at Happisburgh pronounced Haysboro. Nice campsite there Manor Farm overlooking that lighthouse.
Awesome video the best tutorial map reading video I’ve seen yet!! Please keep up the good work.
Great part 2. Lovely countryside in East Anglia if you stay off the main roads. If you are near Lavenham, Kersey is worth a visit. Olde worlde and a nice Ford and church on a hill. Though, not as much to see as Lavenham.
@@stanleyknife1967 I live near Kersey on one of my regular cycling routes 👍
Thankyou fornyour time outside TTT. Subscribed and will be searching your posts for info
@@ShemArnold-v2i nice to meet you mate, give me a shout if I can help with anything 👍
I’m a gloves over jacket man if they will stretch when it’s raining BTW 😅
Thanks for all the advice and GPX files Mike. I didn’t buy a Tenere in the end I bought a Norden following our conversation when you photographed our house! Hopefully I’ll see you sometime on the trails 😉
@@danielpiper9821 I do like the Norden, great do everything bike - GH in Colchester we’re doing some great deals a bit back. 👍
I did this in September to tryout a Guzzi but I did mostly the Suffolk and Norfolk coast 392 enjoyable miles in two days. Must come back and do the countryside.

I reckon I left Finchingfield just before you arrived. It started raining more as I left.
@@bink281 it was proper raining when I got there 🤦♂️👍😂
Gloves over jacket so when your riding the rain passes over ,other way round it goes up your arm ,water with the wind does not go down the arm
@@darrensowerby5631 makes sense 👍
Loved that rout
My way is heated gloves over , regular gloves under the sleeve😊 (thats just for the ease of turning them on/off)
@@125ZJK gloves over gloves, don’t think I’d like the lack of dexterity or feeling - but I guess it’s better than cold hands
@twowheeledadventuresuk2739 sorry I didn't write that very well. I meant heated gloves over the cuff when I wear heated gloves. When I wear regular gloves , under the sleeves.
@ yeah my heated gloves have to go over the sleeves 👍👊

If it's raining, jacket over gloves, else the water runs down the sleeves into the glove. If it's not raining, consult Highway Code rule 42.
😂😂
You're riding too slow if it runs down your arms.. always gloves over jacket .
