@MegaLomanic_Builds It's heartbreaking when a team leaves a stadium that has grown on fans and players. I felt it when left Highbury. A move has it's factors financially to me but where you are based is the DNA of the club and fans
It isn't about the previous 130yrs, the memories won't be scrubbed from history. It's about the future generations of supporters. This is a one time opportunity to take the club to a level it's never experienced before. In order to do that, either Castle Leazes or Leazes Park needs to be developed, as the Arena site isn't fit for purpose. It's a no brainer
Absolutely agree! 🌟 This is a unique chance for Newcastle United to step up and meet the demands of future generations. Developing either Castle Leazes or Leazes Park could truly elevate the club to new heights. The Arena site definitely lacks the potential for such an ambitious project. 🚀⚽️
St James’s is so special but in my opinion we need to take this opportunity. Our owners are willing to build us a state of the art new stadium with 0 debt on the club. Look how long it took Arsenal to start competing due to the stadium debt, we won’t have that issue.
It's definitely an exciting time for Newcastle United fans! 🎉 A debt-free state-of-the-art stadium could propel the club to new heights without the financial burden that Arsenal faced. Having such ambitious owners is a huge advantage! ⚽🏟️
Expanding St. James' Park to reach 75,000 sounds like a dream come true for loyal Newcastle fans like you! ⚫️⚪️ With the right planning, the support will definitely follow. Let's hope the club makes the right choice! 🙌🏟️
Moving 200 meters isn't exactly losing heritage. They just need to make sure the stadium is designed in a similar way. Nice new part between the train station and the new stadium, it would really glam up the center of the city and allow the movement of the public to be more efficient between the stadium and transport.
Designing a new stadium that maintains Newcastle’s heritage while enhancing accessibility and urban aesthetics sounds ideal! 😊 A new section between the train station and the stadium could indeed transform the city center and optimize public flow. 🚉🏟️ Your points about efficiency and preserving design are spot on!
⚫️⚪️BRAND NEW, 80, 000 SAFE STANDING/SEATER SUPA STADIUM.... MUSIC, CONCERTS TO MAX REV... NUFC fans would make a good atmosphere in a cardboard 📦. Hopefully, in leazes Park. In the city centre..Build, & they shall come ⚫️⚪️
😂. Not going to happen dude. That is seriously wishful thinking. The Bernabeu in Madrid has seating capacity of 78,297 FFS. I expect St James will be redeveloped in hope to get about 65k.
@TipToe-G why can't we have the newest, biggest & best in the world. We have the owners to make that happen. Climb out of your small St James's park box. Think of the feature that will accommodate all, & generations to come. So we will be, No 1 in the world as our owners aspire to be...
A brand new stadium would definitely be an amazing step towards evolving as a top club! 🏟️ The investment might be massive, but the potential benefits on and off the pitch could be huge! 💪✨
It’s hard for me to say as they are not my team or city so it’s what the fans want. Saying that, the idea of a new stadium literally next to St James’ park is not such a bad plan as revenues will go up and you can even convert the ground of St James’ to a museum to remind all of the history or even have one of the walking paths towards the stadium go through so everyone can feel the “aura” of the old park first. They have money now and maybe time to spend it proper.
That's a fascinating idea! Building a new stadium next to St James' Park could definitely increase revenues and maintain the club's historical aura. The suggestion of turning old grounds into a museum is also a thoughtful way to preserve history. ⚽️ It seems like a smart way to invest their newfound resources! 💰
We (Newcastle fans) love St. James’ Park, so I would prefer we stayed put… But, you can’t help and admire some of these modern arenas. It’s not just about the stadium itself, but the location of SJP.
St. James' Park is truly iconic and holds a special place in many hearts, especially for Newcastle fans! 🏟️ While modern arenas have their allure, there's something unique about the atmosphere and history of SJP. The location adds to its charm, making it more than just a stadium. What do you think the future holds for Newcastle's home ground? 💬⚽
I wouldn’t be completely against a new stadium, ideally staying in that location would be amazing, but if the owners want us to grow and become a regular top four club, then a new stadium is probably the way forward?
You’ll never lose the soul of the club as we Toon fans are the clubs heart and soul and we’d easily sell 80k tickets every home game. We need to move unfortunately- but being a fan since 1968 let our owners build the world’s best stadium
It's amazing how dedicated Toon fans like you truly are the heart and soul of Newcastle United! 💪 While moving might be a big step, imagining a world-class stadium filled with passionate fans sounds incredible. Since 1968, your support has been unwavering-here's to hoping the owners make that dream a reality! 🏟️🎉
It's true that change can bring new opportunities! 🌟 With a £1.3BN decision on the horizon, Newcastle United might be looking at possibilities that could reshape their future at St James's. Let's see how these choices unfold! ⚽💰
It's true that the Metro Arena site isn't suitable for Newcastle United's needs and it's already slated for other uses. 🤔 In videos like this, exploring various possibilities, even those not feasible, helps paint a complete picture of the project's complexity. Thanks for sharing your insight! ⚽🏟️
The new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is definitely a marvel! 🌟 It's great to embrace progress and innovation. Sounds like Newcastle might be at a similar crossroads with their big decisions ahead. Exciting times for football fans! ⚽🏟️
Newcastle United was established in 1881 - our history books have been updated. East and West didn't merge as most previously thought. The East absorbed the West. The Tynside Life YT channel has all of the info on one of his videos
Thanks for sharing that interesting piece of history! The merging of clubs can definitely be fascinating. Tynside Life seems like a great source for Newcastle United enthusiasts! ⚽️📚
Revenue - plain and simple. If Newcastle want to gain the funds to match our ambitions, we need not only more seats for fans, but a larger stadium to host other events, bringing in more cash to spend on the team. PSR has now made it necessary in my opinion to move stadiums
Great point! Expanding or relocating the stadium could definitely boost revenue for Newcastle United and help match the club's ambitions. With PSR in mind, a new or larger stadium could host more events, benefiting both the team and fans alike. 💰⚽🏟️
A Geordie "Death Star" stadium sounds like an epic idea for Newcastle! 🌟 It definitely could bring a lot of excitement and benefits to the city with year-round events. Imagine the atmosphere! ⚽🌟
100% have to stay at SJP. Even if expanding the one end, Gallowgate end and it increases to 65k/70k that’s still more than Spurs new stadium. Just needs a bit TLC, sprucing up and extend the Gallowgate end.
Expanding St James' Park, especially the Gallowgate end, sounds like a great idea! 🏟️ Keeping that special atmosphere while welcoming more fans is exciting. Here's to seeing SJP get some TLC and possibly surpassing Spurs' stadium capacity! ⚫⚪
New one at Leazes will be even better than the one depicted, am positive this will happen. A plaza and development at the site of the old ground could recoup some of the costs. A new 80-90k seater stadium would be world class, St James is EOL.
It's exciting to think about the potential of a new stadium at Leazes! 🌟 An 80-90k seater would definitely put Newcastle on the map as a world-class venue. The idea of developing a plaza at the old ground sounds like a smart move to balance the costs. Let's hope this vision becomes a reality! 🙌⚽
The club under Sir John Hall thought they could bulldoze their plans for a new stadium past the Freemen but had a rude awakening .Prior to the Saudi takeover the club have had many chances to move and build a new stadium on a different site but failed to do so .Across from the ground massive new developments have taken place .That site - the old brewery site and the land around it -could have been used to build a state of the art stadium .There have been many other out of town sites that could have been used .Going for the Leazes Park option will bring on a world of pain with multiple objections .They are stuck where they are so renovation is the only option .
It's a tricky situation with the history and ongoing challenges at Newcastle United! 🏟️ Renovation does seem like the most feasible path forward given the complications you've mentioned, especially with the Leazes Park dilemma. Let's see how the club navigates its choices-exciting times ahead! ⚽️
That's a great suggestion! 😊 Taking a page from Tottenham's book could be a smart move for Newcastle. It would allow for modernization while respecting tradition. ⚽🏟️
building a new stadium just next to it, or even overlapping on the current site like in the computer rendition, should be considered as renovating.. when you build a new stand over the old one, it's not considered moving.. well, it's stretching a bit.. but at the same site, come on.. every big club needs a new stadium with 7-days a week multi-purpose use in order to bring in more revenues..
Think it’s pretty obvious, current season ticket holders don’t want to move but then you have 50-70 thousand people on the ticket waiting list that want it to happen
It’s definitely a tricky situation! ⚽ Balancing the desires of current season ticket holders with the enthusiasm of those on the waiting list is challenging. Expanding might help bring more fans together! 🙌 What do you think is the best solution?
Spurs still have way over 30,000 people on the season ticket waiting list, should they have built a 90,000 seat Stadium? There are lots of things to take into consideration when talking about the capacity of an inner city stadium. The club might say 70,000 but the local authority, police, and transport systems might say that they can't cope with crowds that large and the club will have to take note, and negotiate with these authorities to find a compromise, just as they did at THFC. It's all very well fans saying we want this figure or that figure, but it's more complicated than that,. As i said, especially with an inner city stadium.
Where did they all come from. Gave thousands away not long ago when x amount never sold and gates was 42k 43k. New ground could be built behind end where away fans are with one end where that stand is now. The plans have been shown.
It's only original once. The stadium has grown because the fans have agreed with the owners to improved the stadium. It all depends if you want to move forward or stay stagnant.
We have to move to the Leazes park area. The land is owned by the Freemen of the city. Their remit is to use the land for the betterment of the people of Newcastle and what better way to serve the people of Newcastle! Let's face it, few of us graze our cattle there anymore, which was it's original purpose!
Leazes Park would definitely be a unique spot for the betterment of Newcastle! 🌟 It's fascinating to think about how land use can evolve to meet modern needs, just like Newcastle United is considering big changes. Imagine transforming the area into a space that continues to serve the people in an exciting new way! ⚽🌿
I am a lifelong Newcastle fan and as much as I love the iconic St James' it's time to build a new state of the art stadium that will generate huge revenue so we never have to worry about PSR again. The new stadium with our new ambitious owners would be the envy of most if not all teams in europe. Me only worry would be if it would have to be built away from the city centre.
It's great to hear your passion for Newcastle and thoughts on upgrading to a state-of-the-art stadium! 🌟 A new venue could indeed generate significant revenue and elevate the club's status across Europe. Your concern about the location is valid, as staying close to the city center keeps the club's heart and soul intact. Balancing tradition and modern ambition is key. 🖤⚪
Relocation might indeed be on the cards if expansion options remain tight! 🤔 It’s going to be interesting to see which choice Newcastle United makes. 🏟️
It seems like the fans' excitement for Newcastle United to move to a bigger stadium is palpable! 🎉 Considering the potential for 80,000 to 90,000 fans, a larger venue could truly amp up the atmosphere! 🏟️⚽ Let's see what choice the club makes.
It's surprising, right? 😄 With the £1.3BN investment Newcastle might make, it's exciting to imagine a fresh, modern ground that matches the ambitions of the club! 🏟️✨
Tottenham successfully build on land next to, with an overlap over the old White Hart Lane incorporating many of the traditions and features. Do not do a West Ham !! I would imagine Newcastle could easily build an 80,000 - 90,000 capacity stadium.
Building on existing sites like Tottenham did is definitely a smart move! 😊 As for Newcastle, there's certainly potential for a huge stadium if they decide to expand or build new, especially with that £1.3BN option. It would be amazing to see them create something grand that maintains the club's traditions! ⚽🏟️
St. James' Park holds such historical and emotional value for Newcastle fans! 🤍🏟️ It's definitely a tough choice, especially with such a hefty cost involved. What an intriguing journey for the club! ⚽💰
Basically no information in this video from a southerner who hasn’t done his research other than reading a history book. The arena site is gonna be housing and works have already started. Plus it’s not big enough. Leazes Park is a possibility but far from certainty building on a green site will face objections which could face years of legal problems to obtain permission.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! 🏟️ It sounds like there are some complex issues with the arena site and planning permissions. Let's hope Newcastle United finds the best solution for their stadium soon! ⚽️
If someone could build an entire football stadium that consisted of all four sides being those two HUGE stands at St. James's Park I honestly think it would be the ultimate venue.
Building a new 70,000-seat stadium in Leazes Park would be quite an ambitious project! 🌳🏟️ It would definitely change the landscape of Newcastle football. Do you think it could compete with the £1.3BN option discussed in the video? 🤔
Been a Newcastle Fan since birth now 65 time to move on Build a new super stadium The real Wembley of the North forget about that Radcliffe dream, I wanna be a magpie ranger
Building a new super stadium for Newcastle United sounds like an exciting idea! 🏟️ A true "Wembley of the North" would definitely make the Magpies soar even higher! Perhaps one day, Newcastle could become that iconic football destination you've dreamed of. ⚽️ Keep supporting the Magpies with passion! 🙌🏻

Although St. James' Park is a historic stadium, it is also one of the ugliest football stadiums in Europe. The combination of the four stands looks weird. Newcastle deserves a more modern and beautiful stadium.
You're right, St. James' Park has its unique charm, but I guess it could use a modern touch to match Newcastle's ambitions! With the potential £1.3BN investment, who knows what exciting new designs might be on the horizon? 🌟⚽️
I completely agree! 🚧 Keeping the same location while going for a new development could bring a fresh start while maintaining our beloved heritage. Here's to even more incredible years at Newcastle United! ⚽️🏟️
@MegaLomanic_Builds definitely, build on leazes park then like Tottenham you can stay in the same place without really having to drop the attendance at any point. I'd imagine they would open the new ground with 3 stands open while working on turning the leazes end around. Which would probably be about 50,000 at that time anyway. I request we have a sir Bobby Robson stand., the leazes becomes the new gallowgate end, Milburn stand and a Liam o Brian over the wall stand 😂😂⚫⚪⚫⚪⚫
That would be amazing! 🏈 This new Chicago Bears stadium looks like it's ready to host the biggest events. Super Bowl LXIV in 2030 would be epic there! 🎉
Expanding St James's Park could be an exciting move! 🏟️ It'd be amazing to see how Newcastle could grow with such a development. 💪 What do you think about the potential costs involved?
It's definitely a tough decision! St James' Park holds so many memories, but expanding could be a great step forward for Newcastle United. ⚽️🏟️ What do you think about the £1.3BN option mentioned in the video? 🤔
@@MegaLomanic_Builds There are too many things to go wrong, a new build is the correct way forward and build great memories for the future generations.
Moving on might sound like a fresh start! 🚀 But what are your thoughts on the financial aspect to potentially relocate? 💸 St James' Park holds a lot of history, after all! 🏟️
It can certainly feel that way sometimes! 💸 However, teams like Newcastle United still bring excitement and passion to the game. What do you think about their big financial choices? ⚽️
That's an ambitious idea! Expanding Newcastle United's stadium to over 70k would definitely create an electric atmosphere. ⚽ It’s fascinating to think about how adding tiers and a new stand could enhance the iconic venue. Do you think it’s worth the investment compared to other options? 🤔
Change can be challenging, but a renovation could definitely add value and preserve some of that club spirit ⚽️✨! It’s a tough decision for Newcastle, balancing heritage with future ambitions. What possibilities do you hope the renovation will bring?
You're absolutely right! To make any grand plans or expansions, owning the land is crucial. 🏟️🔑 The financial implications for Newcastle United are huge, but strategic decisions are key for such ambitions. 🌟⚽️
It’s a topic that stirs a lot of emotions among fans. 😢 The journey of Newcastle United after the ownership change, including choices like the £1.3BN one, definitely impacts how supporters feel about the club's identity. What’s your perspective on how the team should handle this? ⚽🔍
How do you think the club was bought to develop it and make it one of the best clubs in the world. The club was suffering from lack of money and debts. Saudi Arabia came and supported the club and will build a new stadium. You are enemies of success. How was Man City and how did it become after the Arab money? New stadium, as close as possible to the old one, both in location and design.
some facts were wrong and a tad lazy work. Amanda sold her shares months ago and te arena site is too small to fit football stadium.

very limited options in expansion at the current site so i think they will ultimately relocate
Relocation might indeed be on the cards if expansion options remain tight! 🤔 It’s going to be interesting to see which choice Newcastle United makes. 🏟️
Never heard any one say stay .....GOT TO MOVE TO A BIGGER STADIUM....80 TO 90 thousand fans cant be wrong
It seems like the fans' excitement for Newcastle United to move to a bigger stadium is palpable! 🎉 Considering the potential for 80,000 to 90,000 fans, a larger venue could truly amp up the atmosphere! 🏟️⚽ Let's see what choice the club makes.
You'd think the ground wasn't essentially all dating from the 90s
we must stay at st james no matter the cost
We should go to the leazes park and build a new 70 000 stadium
Building a new 70,000-seat stadium in Leazes Park would be quite an ambitious project! 🌳🏟️ It would definitely change the landscape of Newcastle football. Do you think it could compete with the £1.3BN option discussed in the video? 🤔
No we shouldn't, think about the Ducks on the Lake, where they ganna go?
Been a Newcastle Fan since birth now 65 time to move on Build a new super stadium The real Wembley of the North forget about that Radcliffe dream, I wanna be a magpie ranger
Building a new super stadium for Newcastle United sounds like an exciting idea! 🏟️ A true "Wembley of the North" would definitely make the Magpies soar even higher! Perhaps one day, Newcastle could become that iconic football destination you've dreamed of. ⚽️ Keep supporting the Magpies with passion! 🙌🏻
@@redband1000 I want a LIAM 'O' BRIAN OVER THE WALL STAND!! That and the 2 - 2 in Milan my 2 favourite away games. I'm 41 my dad's 66, he seen us win the fairs Cup when he was a kid but I pray we win something in his lifetime. Even the league Cup. Been to Wembley 5 times, my dad 7 and been beat every time. If we'd have beaten Everton in that 95 quarter we'd have won it that year ⚫⚪⚫⚪⚫👍
Although St.
Has season ticket since 1993. As long as the location is the same I say we go new ⚫⚫⚪⚫⚪
I completely agree!
Amanda Stanley doesn't own any shares of NUFC any more PIF have 80%
That would be amazing! 🏈 This new Chicago Bears stadium looks like it's ready to host the biggest events. Super Bowl LXIV in 2030 would be epic there! 🎉
Stay and expand St James's Park
Expanding St James's Park could be an exciting move! 🏟️ It'd be amazing to see how Newcastle could grow with such a development. 💪 What do you think about the potential costs involved?
Lots of memories of St James' Park but be honest most are poor, time to move and expand.
St James' Park has hardly brought luck to the club, it is time to move on...
Moving on might sound like a fresh start! 🚀 But what are your thoughts on the financial aspect to potentially relocate? 💸 St James' Park holds a lot of history, after all! 🏟️
The English Premiership and the Euro Champions League have no soul. They are both about money and only money.
It can certainly feel that way sometimes! 💸 However, teams like Newcastle United still bring excitement and passion to the game. What do you think about their big financial choices? ⚽️
Should just add another tier to the Leazes and Milburn stands and then expand the Gallowgate plus build a new East Stand. Could get it over 70k
That's an ambitious idea! Expanding Newcastle United's stadium to over 70k would definitely create an electric atmosphere. ⚽ It’s fascinating to think about how adding tiers and a new stand could enhance the iconic venue. Do you think it’s worth the investment compared to other options? 🤔
@MegaLomanic_Builds Yeah, it's a no brainer. Leazes Terrace will probably be demolished eventually anyway
Losing the soul of the Club.....that has become a state-owned company from Arabia. Anyway, a renovation would be preferable.
❄️
Change can be challenging, but a renovation could definitely add value and preserve some of that club spirit ⚽️✨! It’s a tough decision for Newcastle, balancing heritage with future ambitions. What possibilities do you hope the renovation will bring?
🤍🖤
“Let the Democracy win” 🤣🤣🤣 theyre owned by a dictator lad
haha. i am talking about the people vote ;). What do the fans want...
new
Thanks for checking out the video! 😊 If you're intrigued by Newcastle United's choices, you're in the right place! ⚽️💷
Cant build on land you dont own
They should build in Saudi Arabia then they own all that land
You're absolutely right! To make any grand plans or expansions, owning the land is crucial. 🏟️🔑 The financial implications for Newcastle United are huge, but strategic decisions are key for such ambitions. 🌟⚽️
Fans are worried about losing the soul of the club? They lost their soul when they sold it to Saudi Arabia 🤣🤣
It’s a topic that stirs a lot of emotions among fans. 😢 The journey of Newcastle United after the ownership change, including choices like the £1.3BN one, definitely impacts how supporters feel about the club's identity. What’s your perspective on how the team should handle this? ⚽🔍
Not possible. Mike Ashley sold it many years before for a cheap buck.
How do you think the club was bought to develop it and make it one of the best clubs in the world. The club was suffering from lack of money and debts. Saudi Arabia came and supported the club and will build a new stadium. You are enemies of success. How was Man City and how did it become after the Arab money? It became the world champion and the best club. You have to leave your hatred and your old reactionary thinking.
In ten years time we will still be whinging where to go, if we were doing something we would have done it by now.
It's easy to feel stuck sometimes, but if Newcastle decides on their direction soon, we could see some exciting changes! 💪 Keep the faith! ⚽
@@MegaLomanic_Builds after 3 years and nothing. that tells me all I need to know.... there has been over a dozen new buildings started and finished in that time within a thousand yards of the stadium. studies upon studies dont cut it with me action does!
