@@LRFandHRF i bet it's not easy to remember everything from what I've heard there's a lot of work preparing a video to post. I learnt to fish up Torquay from my uncle but live in Plymouth, I know Torquay better than Plymouth that's a great spot to fish where you were, princess pier is great to from sand to shingle.

@@LRFandHRF the effort you've put in, you deserved that special fish. As a side note, are you not normally allowed to fish from that mark? I know where it is and thought you could fish it anytime.

@thetaffydangler717 every session amd species steered me to that one bite. Which is insane if you think about it. There's no fishing into the harbour. But signs say from may until September. But I got screamed out by the harbour master when he came in in a boat so just moved to the outside.

Thank you. They are similar but very different if that makes sense? The things I look for is the straightish single blue line under the eye, the red fins and the mouth. You'll know when you get one for sure.

Thanks. This is only my 3rd year of LRF. The first two years I wasn't trying to hit 60 until i accidentally got to 55 then pushed om to 60. This is the first year of going out my way to get 60 again. The species are harder to find in the wild now so 60 is a nice round number to stop on I guess

Thanks Steve. You'll find that most of the hook ups come on the assist hook so both will work. For fish like Garfish and sandeels the trebles help. But if you fish them flicking up and letting them drop you'll catch on both.

I find little paddle tails, like crazy fish nanos or 97t slim shaddys and stickbaits do well, if you're ever up again drop me a message and I'll happily come join you if you fancied it, not been this season
