Well done catching a Trigger fish. You certainly know your species. I was brought up and fished the Blackpool coast line in the 1950s and only ever saw and caught, dabs, codling, whiting, flounder, lesser weever, occasional plaice and ling, after a good ‘ blow’. Never saw a mackerel!
Thanks David. It's been a steep learning curve. 77 species in 3 years. Learning on the job haha. Dab and codling are targets in the new year when I head to Hartlepool. Did you see the plaice video from my last video from up there?
Enjoy your style of video, Idabble in a bit of LRF, usually with my little boy, he likes to make a ‘habitat’ in a storage box he fills with stones and weeds. We keep the fish in there for a while so he can look at them and handle them. Congratulations on the 60, especially hitting it with a trigger.
Just watching through. A trigger is awesome anytime, but on lrf tactics, that early in a session? Incredible. Not to mention the ringneck! Well done mate!!!
@@LRFandHRF the effort you've put in, you deserved that special fish. As a side note, are you not normally allowed to fish from that mark? I know where it is and thought you could fish it anytime.
@thetaffydangler717 every session amd species steered me to that one bite. Which is insane if you think about it. There's no fishing into the harbour. But signs say from may until September. But I got screamed out by the harbour master when he came in in a boat so just moved to the outside.
@@LRFandHRF i bet it's not easy to remember everything from what I've heard there's a lot of work preparing a video to post. I learnt to fish up Torquay from my uncle but live in Plymouth, I know Torquay better than Plymouth that's a great spot to fish where you were, princess pier is great to from sand to shingle.
Thanks Scott. Not sure how many I'll end up on. Would like a couple more but more than happy with 60. I'll be giving up on the hunt early December as I'm off on holiday then Christmas. So December will be pretty much written off
