I remember when the devs made ex content that was a challenge through the mechanics. in EW, they started to add artificial difficulty with barely visible tells and oh the mech rotation is like flipping a coin, leading each pull to be different. which basically makes it a reaction game instead of offering a challenge instead of I dunno just make the mech a challenge. aside from that awesome guide.

The struggle is real with this extreme on Crystal DC. Boss just fall over you say? We fail enrage so many times, with **650** ilevel duty complete groups!

I think it's quite rude to say this fight does not deserve a guide. There will always be people who will struggle with any kind of extreme, and so they need a guide for it- Saying a fight isn't hard enough is quite arrogant, the playerbase deserves more chill fights and not constant bodychecks even through extremes :/

I feel like there's just no winning for the devs. If there were body checks in this fight your group would've died at multiple points, but when there's not people complain it's too easy ( you would've died without your SGE charge too at some point because you had no clue where to go, so other party members who did kinda saved you ). But then when there are body checks people complain it's too hard. Like look at Gales 2 in the Golbez fight and how much PF manage to screw it up or how everyone just follows one person on Zodiark, Endsinger and Rubicante ( dorito ), most people have like zero clue how to do any remotely challenging mechanic and dorito is basically like a training wheel ( that people never take off ). Which even as someone who usually has to be the dorito I am often grateful for because farming would be so much worse if everyone had to know and do things themselves, even tho it can be annoying that most people never bother to learn it can also feel kinda good to basically carry the group in that way too. But I don't even want to think about how bad things would be if everyone had individual responsibility on the spinning platform glyphs in Rubicante for instance, ppl can't even do limit cut if you get there it 99% of the time just falls apart same with his pizza wing mech. It's the same with melee for instance, if melee miss a single gcd due to forced downtime they'll flip out and have a mental breakdown and start fuming with anger and like every strat that ever develops is melee-centric. But when the devs design around that and make it so you can have 100% uptime people still complain about it and say that it makes the game too easy. Like PF still manages to struggle on this fight lmao, at some point it's not really the devs fault it's also a player problem.

It's somehow one of the easiest ex fights in endwalker and one of the most miserable to farm because people in PF just won't stop fucking up meteors. I am so tired of re-doing the first half of the fight.

this ex guide be like: ok for the first mechanic: dodge then you also need to dodge and if you happen to see another mechanic, just dodge, ah yes don't forget to dodge, see the aoe? dodge. DODGE, I TOLD YOU TO DODGE THE AOES!!

It really is a "use eyes and react" sort of fight. So basically any player that can do on the fly thinking can do this fight blind. Don't even have to be a high-end raider. Also it is very poorly scaled to BiS raiders, more so iL645-650 casual players (the single digit folk out there). Which is fine. Extremes should be on the more mid level difficulty end to cater for the casuals who want a bit more, but this might be pushing it too close to dungeon difficulty.

Honestly after all the bodycheck galore that EW raiding has been, this ex was so nice that it is that forgiving. I can finally enjoy the fight and dont get punished into stratosphere immediately because one person died . If i want to be sweating i go raid savage or ultimate. Yeah, it is forgiving af but that makes it more fun than wiping over and over at golbez because someone lost the memory game. And also we can't forget who this content is for, the game has to be able to please all kinds of players and not just the hardcore endgame pentalegends. Casual gamers deserve some spicy content for their skillset as well

I went in with a PF of mostly fresh. Once we figured out meteors we just kind of forced our way to a clear. Soo many deaths, healer LB3s. The boss was at like 30% and I thought to myself "is this really going to happen?". Well, it did. Now I'm going to farm parties and really still don't have much of a clue what I'm doing.

Your explanations seem much more accessible than many others'. Xenosys was saying that he felt like this was the hardest EX in this expansion but after watching this, it really doesn't seem that bad.

Great vid, I did most blind but wanted a quick runthrough when farming it with my static today. No hate against any other guide creators but I'm not sitting through 20+ minute video for an EX fight. Love this short format, I would love timestamps in the description tho :D
