Just going to comment on this video since I've been getting a lot of people in party finder who learned the fight by watching this guide, and they have misinformation about how cachexia 2 works. You get a green or purple debuff, and also separately, you get tethered to the snake or wing side for transmisssion debuffs. You do not go to the opposite side of your tether, this can kill you even with tank lb3. I don't know its intentional or just poorly described, but the video makes it sound like getting tethered by the snake side means you always go to the wing side and vice versa, and thats not how the mechanic works
Maybe it is poorly described! What you get tethered too will only decide if you gaze out of your face or your butt. which side you go to is dependend on your debuff! Gonna pin this comment in case people got confused!
I do both strats in two different statics, and after trying both, my preference is the one here suggested. When everyone stands together, you have to count and run at the right time out from the group and back, while with the strat around the boss, you basically only move once, and only pay attention to your partner or your own hit.
@@Ryuzaki1119 honestly, being a tank main, if you can't see the swap busters yourself from getting hit once, you shouldn't be playing tank. As a non-tank main, he did a good job with the fight and clearly worked hard trying to describe the mechanics in a concise manner. If it is such an issue for you personally, make your own video better. I'll come and judge it the way you're judging now. He should definitely consult his tanks in the future and knows better now, but he still did a good job and worked hard on this video.
@@EncodeGG the guide is good, it's just not solid if the tank mechanics are left out, the shared buster, the swap due the vuln, the need to have ot on second aggro, the random busters after first 2 fixed. If I were to make a guide I would consult my healers to make sure I'm not missing any heal checks and my dps to make sure I'm getting details about full melee uptime. And if I were to make a guide and leave all healer mechanics out I would hope someone would come by and call me out so I could fix it and be sure to get it right for the next fight. I would not want someone saying it's solid when it is clearly missing details. :)

My comment is positive, but have you seen some of the others? He will learn and grow, I stand by my statement. Good job on a solid mech guide again my dude, since I know you are reading all this stuff

Hi, I just want to clarify something since I haven't done this fight yet. As far as I'm aware of the tank buster "Synergy " the tanks should be swapping there correct? I think that part was skipped.
@@AqB you skipped basically all tank mechanics in this guide, don't mention the shared buster in the beginning from chelic, or the swap due to the magic vuln from synergy, or that the off tank needs to be second on aggro for the synergy buster so should turn stance on partly into the fight, you also don't mention that the first two tank busters are fixed but all others after are random. maybe mention all the mechanics in the fight? Tank lives matter my dude very incomplete guide.
Dumb question, but do you have the enrage timer 10:XX or so + approximate dps check numbers? I'm assembling some references together before my static meets up this weekend, and it'd be mildly useful information to have Thanks for the clean videos as always!
@@AqB No worries! Thanks again for the great early guides, will hopefully give us a break from the headache that is solo progging in PF during off hours this weekend
nice to see that last tier you had like 10k at most views after week 1 now you have 58k plus week 1 good work man I always new you'd become big just from the quality of guides
I'd like to ask the same question, am I missing something with that mechanic ? Seems like it makes it less safe because the exchange and the explosion are almost at the same time.
@AqB your voice mixed with the voice on BGM and its confusing when i try to understand the info about mechanics. It will be ok if we talk about normal difficulty, but on savage...my brains in near to die. Anyway, thx for guide and srry for this little crutique.
I appreciate it! Will keep it in mind for the future. I use weird audio programs, so it might sound fine to me and bad to others. I should double check them with friends before uploading to make sure that doesnt happen again! 😄
Yeah, makes sense, I am not trying to explain everything in the smallest detail possible and have like 20 minute guides. All I do is show people how we cleared it and explain mechanics a bit so people feel confident to PF. I am not trying to take people by the hand and drag them through content. I like looser style of explanation, as PF will have own strats in a couple of weeks anyways. My guides are just to give people a general idea of whats coming! That is my goal.
Yeah tbh, I can barely follow what he is talking about. Especially on that snake / wing part, what does exchange debuffs even mean? Is it like a nisi pass or?
@@PvtVallen no you don't exchange anything. You have 2 debuffa One determines your side and one determines when an aoe hits you. You go your side and spread. Each side also hits the closest player to the boss so your aoe debuff duration determines when you should be closest to the boss on your side
"Another poly with east and west cleaves" Yeah that's why I clicked on the video man it's the hardest part of the fight. Bro just skipped over it like it was nothing.
Just look what corner the X got tpd to, the safespots are on the edge of the arena adjacent to this X. The + Tpd to the center denies 2 squares out of 4 which makes only 2 squares safe (either close to the X corner or far) and the cleaves denies 1 last square so you can only have 1 safespot. So first identify the X tpd to corner, you have the 2 outer lines that can be safe. then identify where the + will be, you have 2 squares safe possible, then watch the cleaves
If you really think that is the hardest part of the fight, I am sorry :D You can literally just have the entire party stand wrong, get 8 damage downs and still clear, its a non factor mechanic, it cannot wipe you ever. Sorry I disappointed you my Free friend! If you need more hand holding through mechanics, go watch longer - in depth guides, not one thats called "Quick & Easy"
More movement for everyone, more attention and counting required of every single person in the group, and also more danger of having someone sleep and having a cleave go right into the group. I've done both, and after progging it with both strats with two statics, your suggested one is worse in comparison (even though you might not see that right now when you only used this strat so far and can't really compare or onyl in theory).
Nah your strat sucks. It's more accident prone, requires more precisely timed movement (higher chance of clipped gcds for casters), and offers zero benefits in exchange.
@@Brad933 Yeah it might suck, we cleared in like 20 pulls, there was no time to optimize anything. Its just a way to do it if people want a solution. Its not "The one and only Perfect Guide!"

Hey dude just cleared p5s and p6s with your guides as a quick run down of the fights and I love how short and to the point your videos are thanks.
Good stuff, I usually use your guides as a primer before going in to prog with my static. Much appreciated.
For the limit cut you can have all stack on south and just swap East/West, it's much simpler imo
It's group preference. Some people (especially casters and healers) would like moving a small amount of distance.
@@GyroTakashi its still the minimum movement to place north south. stand deep center. the cones don't widen if you stand inside the boss.
tried both and both are fine, I was reluctant to trust PF with counting up to 8 at first :')

Been studying this video like a final exam. 😂
One thing i was wondering, why does 20sec go in first instead of last? AND THEN 8 12 16?
I'd like to ask the same question, am I missing something with that mechanic ?
Seems like it makes it less safe because the exchange and the explosion are almost at the same time.
pretty sure it has to do with the invulns in regards to the explosion around the players.
If the 20s explosion goes in last, then the magic vuln when they swap their debuff won't wear off in time when their explosion goes off.
Oh yea, nice explanation, thanks.
Theres a lot of tank mechs missing isnt there..
Super impressed by your guides. Wondering if we can expect a p7s guide soon? My static would be lost without you 😀
