As a former Hazbin fans who waited 4 years for the show(who's also ended up being disappointed), Imma be honest, HH/HB criticizer are one of those people that actually educate me well, because I had no idea that vodo/veve isn't an "evil magic" (I gotta blame those movie made by non-black or Disney who made me think it's evil) and other harmful things written in the show without me realizing it. Also as a beginner writer, critism actually helped me improved my writings (especially to avoid harmful things) so it's sad to see the "stans" view it as "Hate" No I'm not against Hazbin/Helluva fans (except the toxic one, they're just....idk, have no word for them) since I believe there are some non-toxic fans that enjoy the show but wish it could've done better (and some of them actually made rewrite/redesign of what the show could have been). So yeah, that's all I can say, thank you for this video!

Not to be a downer, lol, but it's obviously Avatar that's better. Yeah, Showdown came first, but, to be honest, the show comes off as a beta show to Avatar, despite the differences in premise and tone. With how well executed Avatar does in almost every element needed for a plot driven show, Xiaolin Showdown's flaws become more and more obvious. The humor in Avatar was consistently great and did not detract from the overall tone of the show, the villains were very three dimensional and almost all of them got consistently better instead of being downgraded heavily, the team chemistry was way better and got progressively better, Aang was way more likeable as a protagonist than Omi, and most of the major plot points concluded in a very satisfying way instead of leading to more unanswered questions. Xiaolin Showdown does have some good aspects, such as the solid personalities of most of the antagonists, but other than maybe the visuals, it feels like Avatar is the more fully realized version of this premise.

I love seeing this coersing son-of-a-genshin-impact-character-but-not-really get flames for all he's done.

How is this a clone of Close Enough? There are shows before CE that shared similar concepts. Most of the adult shows nowadays are hot garbage so I'm 100% supporting this project

Honestly, and I know this is gonna be a VERY hot take, but I feel like it should be the case for both Harley and Ivy AND Daphne and Velma should remain friends. Like here's the thing. I am ALL for LGBT representation, I love that shit. But I look at pairings like Harley and Ivy and Daphne and Velma and I ask myself one question: Why? Why does everyone thing they should get together? If you think Harley shouldn't be with Joker, I get that. If you think Daphne is too good for Fred, I get that. But I am seriously getting tired of every person looking at two friends of the same gender and thinking they should hook up, whether it makes sense or not! If you want your MLM or WLW ship to work, you need to lay some SERIOUS groundwork so that them hooking up doesn't just feel right, but also makes sense. Stuff like this is why I am under the firm belief that too much shipping can and WILL hurt a product. And there are so many shows out there that have proven me right. No matter how cute you think they may be together, cuteness isn't always enough to make a ship work.

Remember the main charachter desperatly avoiding a homeless man like the plage and everbody disliked it

A down to earth mature cartoon that doesn’t have the characters constantly shouting swears or getting into violent or sexual situations? Boy isn’t that a novel concept. But in all seriousness, this actually looks really interesting. Hope it can succeed!

I've thought about how if I could redo the pilot/ep1, I'd have shown a bit more of Neil's homelife trouble, add a bit more background there, but now I'm trying to integrate it in the story as I go (hopefully somewhat well haha). I feel the same way with the writing, for me the show just feels so mean spirited. I know the show wants us to focus on Rob and Clays bond through a world that’s mean and cruel, but for me it’s just too cruel. Why is almost every girl so…mean? I get the two girls Rob were after were just for the story and they didn’t matter all that much, but it feels inaccurate to portray them like this. And also the random swearing doesn’t make a lot of sense either, and what’s weirder is that Rob is the one who’s mostly swearing even though he’s supposedly much younger and innocent than Clay. It makes it hard to get an idea of who this show’s main audience is. Is it for kids? Well, there’s swearing and adult themes, so no. Is it for adults? Maybe, but the show still looks very mid 2000s cartoony and not all that edgy, so not exactly. So I guess it’s supposed to be for ages 13+, but so far I haven’t seen anyone in my cartoon fan group talk about this and we’re all teenagers. I don’t hate this show, there are aspects that I really like about it, but I’d be lying if I said this didn’t make me feel self conscious about my ability to make friends. Sorry this was so long, I just needed to get my thoughts out.

honestly, adding onto this particular section 16:49 you can still have Millie being the groups rock but show how being the rock effects HER, how she feels she needs to be strong for everyone and can't tell them about her issues because she's the rock, she's the one everyone relies on. Or maybe her not even thinking what happened to her is that bad, that her issues aren't as bad as the others therefore they're not important. theres so much you can do but they don't do it!!
