One thing is for certain, GAWD DAME Stolas and Blitz need some serious Therapy. But seriously, Stolas and all his Family Drama can just GO AWAY now. Blitz has the Crystal now, he doesn't need ANYTHING or ANYONE now. BLITZ WON, he has the means to continue his Business, he doesn't need SHIT from Stolas anymore! I hate Blitz for Recoiling away from Stolas when he offers to make them Equals in their relationship. By Proxy it makes me Hate Loona and I do not want to hate Loona, because she is relatable. I hate Stolas for apparently not knowing a dame thing about Blitz, besides the SEX. "just.... about Sex", says the guy who set up a transactional Fuck Night so Blitz can keep his business going. Meanwhile you where just singing that morning about how it made YOU A MONSTER! Like "realistically", no more Stolas Family Drama outside of Loona and Octavia hanging out, maybe they both get Kidnapped so Stolas and Blitz have to go save them. Cus as it stands, Blitz can and SHOULD just walk away whistling a tune about how he FUCKED OVER a Prince of Hell. Their relationship was mostly transactional, and now its over, lets move on shall we and get back to the Murder and Mayham.
I'm asexual so i don't really know what love feels like personally but i can like somebody just not in a romantic way and i will only have sex with somebody if i trust them nothing else.
"Sexually harasses" *loud incorrect buzz And Stolas is not asking or wondering, he is stating this as an fact and an answer of why this relationship is over, he's not blaming Blitz or wondering it.
@@stormcgsfym “loud incorrect buzz”? Did you miss the pilot where he was harassing blitz over the phone to the point he broke his phone and made Loona eat it? Or all the times Blitz told Stolas to cut it out but Stolas kept making weird comments at him? That’s the DEFINITION of sexual harassment. Weirdo.
@@stormcgs Loud and wrong. Plus it happens outside the pilots as well. Loo loo land is a prime example where Stolas is constantly making weird comments at Blitz despite him verbally telling him to stop, and warning him beforehand to NOT do that. That’s harassment.
@LadyLeomon He literally has. The comment you're replying to is pointing that out. At the start of Seeing Stars, he's squeezing an imp servant half to death bc he's mad at Stella.
Stolas: ''Blitzo, I never looked down on you! When have I ever-?'' Blitzo: ''You ever heard of actions speaks louder than words, Stolas?'' Stolas: ''I-I... um, what?''
Watching this after Apology Tour released, and I feel like this show has a straight up fetish for making Blitzø feel like garbage Also, when Blitz asks Stolas what he sees in him, Stolas doesn’t say what he sees in Blitzø, he says what he wants in a partner. Stolas explains how he wants to be “someone’s someone” or how he wants these unrealistic scenarios that come up in romcoms and such He’s more obsessed with the IDEA of being with Blitzø than ACTUAL Blitzø himself!! When is the show gonna call out Stolas for his bull crap?!?
With this show, it feels like characters only get two fates; they either get tortured like Blitzo and Moxxie or they get neglected like Millie and Loona.
You know thats something about stolas that would be interesting to explore and have an arc about if they werent gonna have stolas and blitz be together in the end.
Viv already addressed this: that they are BOTH flawed and both will have their redemption arcs. How are this many people missing all the hints? Even the song starts giving him some self realization.
The show just failed to show us why Blitz and Stolas would care for each others outside bed. It's that simple. The show never puts effort to give Stolas trying to understand Blitz's pov.
It can still happen, not that it was in the trailer 😒 but hey! There's 4 seasons in the show, if we have to wait another season for Stolas to do self reflection on how he treated Blitzo I'm here for it, Viv HAS BEEN laying out the groundwork, surely she wouldn't just throw it out and rewrite it into something else...
You can see why they like each other, it's just shown in "show don't tell" format. Their reasons for liking each other are obvious. Anyone who is upset that Stolas doesn't see the truth yet - he'll get there. Patience is a virtue.
@@megankissinger8269I can defenitely see what Stolas sees in Blitz - his fighting spirit. It's something Stolas always personally lacked so he admires him for how much he is willing to fight against the whole world just to survive. But what does Blitz see in Stolas? I never understood
@@billcipher8645 I think he describes it a bit in Oops when he's talking to Fizz, but I think he likes that Stolas is kind, gentle hearted, and genuinely interested in his life. No one has made the effort to know him better like Stolas has, at least not before he could sabotage it. And he appreciates that someone likes his humor. Stolas can be charming and funny when he's in the headspace for it, too. I do think if they'd shown even one of those phone calls it would help. And all of their interactions are still surface level, so it's not as easy to pick up.
I have a bad feeling that in reaction to Stolas becoming less sympathetic in the community's eyes, the showrunners are going to try to double down and make him MORE sympathetic in a way to try and win the fans back over. A sort of, "See? He's suffering, you wanted him to suffer. Hasn't he suffered enough?!" And if that leak of Olivia chastising him on taking meds is true, oof, the show's about to enter a period of bad soap opera territory. In my opinion, Stolas has always been at his best in the scenes when he's acting like a powerful demon, not Blitzo's sub.
Yeah... Though considering how reactionary the writing tends to be it could probably weigh down in either direction? At least I'm holding my hopes up since this could be a good setup for finally calling out Stolas on his bs.
So it's been noted that Andrealphus's behavior towards Stella has an incestuous vibe. I wouldn't be surprised if they eventually reveal that the two do have a sexual relationship, and they were continuing it even after Stella got married. This would mean that Stella cheated on Stolas first, fully ensuring that she has absolutely no high ground over him. They might not end up doing that but if they do, I want it on record that I called it.
I understand your concerns but that’s not how show running works. Animation takes a long time, and the story has to be completely in place before storyboarding can even begin. I’m sure all of season 3 was written before this last episode even dropped. Writers can’t “respond” to fan feedback with each new installment. It just isn’t possible.
I wish Stolas would come to that realization on his own. I mean, he could use A LOT more self-awareness. But, unfortunately, the writers (especially Vivziepop) refuse to let him reflect on his actions.
@@manuproulx2764 The good news is, a few of the crew members have acknowledged that Stolas was being a hypocrite last episode and not truly considering Blitzo's feelings. But whether the actual show will express that remains to be seen.
but that is correct, wheres the fuckin doubt here, Stolas is not a bad person indeed and it was clear as day at the start of the episode he wasn't ready for this convo and was an emotional trainwreck.
The fans seem to believe Stolas is in the right somehow, but realistically why not look in from Blitz' perspective, since the quota is to blame *only* Blitz? Just imagine having a sexual arrangement with a literal prince that you never wanted in the first place, but are willing to go on with it so your business doesn't end up in shambles. And all he does is keep treating Blitz here like a sexual toy. Blitz doesn't really like it but he goes along with it, and by now likely places his value on this one thing (THE ONLY THING) this guy Stolas wants out of him. Then one day this dude taking advantage of Blitz randomly blames him for not seeing the love he feels, & suddenly doesn't want the one thing that Blitz places his self worth on. Can you really blame Blitz for going, "Wtf is going on? What do you mean you wanted love? You never told me this, and now you expect me to understand right away and fall in love, when all I have ever been is your sexy imp plaything?" These fans are drivin' me up the wall! Everyone sees it from the abusers perspective, but not the victim? Oh well, good thing it's just a silly tv show with a lot of evil furries.
The writers made sure to show that Stolitz is very one sided and specifically just a sexual arrangement, too. So where exactly is the "ship" part of all this supposed to come in? At this point Stolitz feels like a lazy subplot taking over what the show used to be. And it is only unbearable because they can't write the romance half of it right; there's no romance, cuteness, fluff, chemistry, probably because it is one sided & not meant to be rooted for.. which sucks because I sort of wish it could be
@@stormcgs they both have abused eachother though. Blitzø abused first by manipulating stolas for the book and did sexually assault him. Stolas responded to this by then trapping him in an arrangement and sexually assaulting blitz and sexually harassing him multiple times. Which are abuse Clearly.
@@ratsandmice1612 This is a common misconception but yes, it still does, a great example is from Bridgeton s1 where the guy expressed he didn't want kids but the girl he fancied ensured she would do it with him before he managed to ensure it couldn't happen, he too seemed to enjoy it but the fact he explicitly said no beforehand still makes it rape. Stolas said no, doesn't matter if he seemed to enjoy it or not, he still said no. The only time ignoring a no is okay is if its addressed with the other person and its some form of kink. We also have the castlevania series which features two r*pe seens (it shocked me honestly) yes vampire dude looked like he enjoyed it but those two people came on to him out of nowhere and he had zero idea what was happening before it was too late. Funnily enough we then have the issue with the other two which is kind of similar to blitz and stolases situation. Where vampire woman hooks up with one of the prisoners and traps him in a sex pact basically, similar to here, now he didn't enjoy it at first but then went to wanting it and vampire woman realised she actually did love him and realised how messed up their dynamic was and killed herself despite his pleas for her not to. I'm so bad at remembering names I only remember Trevor and he was like absent... Oddly the series goes into abusive power dynamics a lot and even the ones stuck instead of growing hatred I guess to cope grew an obsession. But yeah if someone says no you don't go ahead with something like sex... Never Even if they look like their enjoying it to you. Stolas does concent after but it doesn't make blitz going onto him when he said no okay. So yeah he does sexualy harass stolas
Mild spoiler for apology tour: I feel like it is extremely unfair when Blitzo starts to bring up the power imbalance for Stolas to immediately accuse him of sounding like Striker. Blitzo is bringing up legitimate concerns and Stolas chooses to undercut them by comparing him to an extremist. This feels like what happens irl when oppressed people bring up how they are being oppressed, and those on the opposing side try to diminish their argument by bringing up people within their group that are extremists or act in a way they don’t like. I feel like within the show this is being brushed aside, and I’m worried we won’t ACTUALLY get a conversation about their power imbalance without them framing it as the only reason it is an issue is because Blitzo doesn’t believe someone of higher status could love him. There’s so much more to it than that.
You can not be more right, and then stolas has the gall to say "Its not an imps place to protect a goetia, is it?" THAT SINGLE LINE PROVES THAT HE KNOWS THE POWER IMBALANCE IN THE RELATIONSHIP. The fact he believes that imps are supposed to protect him despite his attitude, sent me raging.
The scene in on itself wouldn't be that bad if the show KNEW how crap Stolas is and acknowledged it...but it feels like they want me to feel BAD for him, which...NO???
Stolas is a massive fucking liar claiming he "thinks so highly" of Blitzo when he knows next to nothing about him. Think about it. What about Blitzo does Stolas *actually* know? Let's see: They were childhood friends for *1* day *25* years ago. Blitzo runs a business where he kills people. I don't know if Stolas knows if Blitzo specifically kills Humans or not. All Blitzo said was "I kill people." and didn't elaborate further. Blitzo needs his Grimoire to run said people-killing business. Blitzo can get really freaky in bed when he has to. Outside of that, what does Stolas know about Blitzo as a person, to claim he thinks so highly of him? They've yet to have an actual, serious conversation on anything of substance. As for the Cherubs, I enjoyed their plot but I think it was mostly here to take up runtime so Viv can drag out the melodrama that is Stolitz, because if she made the episode around 'that' then the plot would move too fast and we'd get too much development between them. Gotta dispense the plot in dribs and drabs so we can keep the moneytrain chugging. I'm also so glad you call out the anti-Stella bias since she is a victim of the situation as much as Stolas. Forced to marry a man she didn't even know, forced to carry HIS precautionary heir, shackled to him forever and required to project this image of a wholesome Goetia family...But no, Stella doesn't get a backstory. She's just evil so Stolas looks good. Same with Octavia. She is the biggest victim in all of this, but she keeps getting gaslit into forgiving Stolas for being a shitty dad. That speech Loona gave her to basically tell Octavia to forgive Stolas is bullshit and she is the last person who should be saying that.
I will admit the "I thought so highly of you I didn't realize you thought so low of me" is a good line.. in any other context. But like, Stolas rarely SAYS or SHOWS he thinks so highly of Blitz. Sure he may show his gratitude in text messages; messages that are shown for a few seconds on screen. But half the time he is always belittling and sexualizing blitz. Seems like the opposite to me. And Blitz apparently loves him back despite always looking disgusted and annoyed any time he interacts with Stolas?? Sure both of them have deeper feelings and want to be loved and can't communicate it that well, and I do love the nuance of both of them hurting each other and both of them f*cking up the relationship, but the contrived, sporadic way its done and the way this convoluted ship took over the show makes it too frustrating to actually like.
@@paradoxtatorstudios9681 Exactly. That line only works when someone other than Stolas is saying it. Even if he genuinely thinks highly of Blitzo...Stolas barely actually knows Blitzo as a person. Outside of their arrangement they almost never interact or communicate. And like you say Stolas may SAY he thinks the world of Blitzo, but he doesn't TREAT him like it. Stolas can't see past what HE wants and even his big gesture with the Asmodean Crystal rings hollow because the SECOND Blitzo thinks Stolas isn't being serious, Stolas storms out. Like, what? I can't take their relationship seriously because outside of the sex and their own toxic codependence, there's barely anything there. They jumped straight to sex and never actually took the healthy steps to get there that you'd need if you wanted more than a hook up.
Both Blitz and Stolas put themselves on a higher position in their minds. As depicted in Truth Seekers for Blitz and Look my Way for Stolas, although Blitz's view of Stolas is way more unhealthy while Stolas' view of Blitz is extremely romanticized.
The fact that Loona was using a lighter or lighting a cigarette when saying that. GASLIGHT. Jk. I think Loona said that to Octavia since Loona has a lot of tr@um@ and doesn't fully understand l0ve or what parents/guardians/caretakers trying is outside of Blitz and the goddawful pound.
Stolas thinks “so very highly” of the Blitzo that exists in his head. His biggest flaw is his egocentrism, the inability to differentiate himself from the people around him. You see this in his relationship with Octavia as well - he was having fun at Loo Loo Land, for example, so she must also have been having fun. He enjoys his relationship with Blitzo, so Blitzo must enjoy it too. He’s working to get over that, realizing that he and Blitzo weren’t the romantic partners and equals he thought they were and that his choice to give Via a “normal life” didn’t have the effect he intended, but he still can’t escape it. Perhaps the Blitzo in his head might have not minded an emotional ambush and being put into a strictly reactionary position as Stolas scares the living shit out of him, but the real Blitzo certainly did; if Stolas had put effort into getting to know the Blitzo that actually was, he might have known that. And even if this wasn’t Blitzo, no one likes being put in the situation Blitzo was in between giving Stolas the book and getting the crystal. Which circles back, again, to his egocentrism and the fact that he doesn’t consider the people around him even though it’s clear he’d do anything for them. They also had an opportunity to address this flaw in his divorce with Stella. Stella can still be a bad person who strangled puppies in her youth, but a little nuance never hurts. I wish they’d shown how Stolas’s flaws affected her and her efforts to keep up a perfect image. Stolas, although he clearly loves his daughter and is trying to be a good dad, keeps falling short and maybe Stella had to pick up the slack. Maybe she managed to convince Via that her father wasn’t interested in her and didn’t care about her, or maybe she alternated between love-bombing Via and criticizing her, or maybe they had a genuinely good relationship. Stella isn’t just trying to keep up a good image because “appearances are everything!”, she’s trying to protect her daughter in the only way she knows how. Stolas was initially billed as a morally dubious and horny demon prince with another, more human side (until the writers started exclusively focusing on that side); why not do the same for Stella? I personally HATE when people say “they’re trying” or “they’re not perfect” to excuse someone’s shitty behavior, especially toward their children. Neither of my parents are perfect, but one is “sometimes I get caught up in my issues and I don’t always act perfectly or make you feel heard, and I acknowledge this and am sorry for them and want to be the best parent I can be” imperfect, and the other one is “here’s everything bad that can happen if you let this thing you’re getting into take over your life and you only remember me hurting you because you aren’t remembering right and at the slightest provocation I will start screaming but I expect you all to have forgiven me when I’ve calmed down” imperfect. I cannot tell you the amount of times I’ve heard people tell me that he’s trying his best and no one’s perfect. It’s okay if I’m hurt by something he said because at least he’s trying. Loona’s speech to Octavia hit home for me.
Apology Tour did Blitz SO DIRTY. God, I hope Stolas gets his comeuppance in a later episode because they just swept all the fucked up sh!t he did under the rug and I am so pissed about it.
@@stormcgs The majority of the episode is Blitz walking around in a house of people who hate him, people who are ripping apart effigies of him, and people literally sang a song about how much he sucks. Meanwhile, Stolas is still completely oblivious to Blitz’s feelings and perspectives (Viviziepop literally acknowledges that Stolas still lacks self-awareness in the description), and Stolas gets to sing his heart out, have a nice dance, and possibly got laid while Blitz suffered the whole time. Apology Tour deadass is just another “Fuck Blitz” episode. Also, that hole comment is kinda weird, not gonna lie. You could’ve worded that better.
@@LuigiDOTexe Maybe because Blitz is not an innocent 'victim' like you'll love to put out, first it breaks that idea that Blitz doesn't love neither care for Stolas, which broke down and y'all hated it despite being hinted at S1:E5 and very clearly in S1:E6, and now it shows his toxic traits, he literally comes back to Stolas to demand sex from him because he wants, and still insist on the idea that Stolas is just pretending just to revive the deal. Blitz is literally doing all the wrong things if what he really wants is to be with Stolas, and needed this reality check to make him change. And despite Stolas being in an anti-Blitzo party, yall tend to forget how little he engages on this hating, his song doesn't even diss him, instead he got bits of self reflection that's being pushed back by Verosika and Tex.
@@stormcgs First off, I never said Blitz was a hapless, innocent victim. My point is is that Blitz is disproportionately demonized when Stolas has arguably done far worse than him in the relationship. Blitz yelling at Stolas and saying not-nice things is NOT comparable to Stolas coercing Blitz into a sex deal while Blitz was *literally* running for his life. It does not excuse Stolas' blatant classism and disrespectful behavior towards Blitz. And even in Full Moon, Stolas reinforced the gross power imbalance in their relationship by (albeit unintentionally) holding Blitz's livelihood over his head and making him cry and panic. And sure, maybe Stolas "reflect[s]" on the relationship, but that's still not facing consequences. Why does he get to sing his heart out over milk *he* spilled? He's the one who arranged this whole deal, made it all about sex, and now he's crying over the situation *he* orchestrated. "Bits of self reflection" does NOT cut it.
@@LuigiDOTexe it's insane how you still drag the murder family deal settlement when it's been clear from this episode that Blitz would have agreed to that deal regardless and that moment means way less to him than you all expect
You know it’s bad when sarcastic chorus make a 50+ video just dunking on Stolas. Explaining why he’s in the wrong and debunking the excuses people where making for him
I also had a sorta back and forth with a fan because I said (along with serval other people) that Stolas is an example of a person that says “oh I don’t see colors”. And when I try to explain to them why it’s a bad thing they just insult me saying I don’t understand there view point. To which I asked them well explain the view point and they didn’t answer so 🙄
except it was actually a good video without belittle his problems and issues and not ignoring Blitz's side. Any side who thinks there is a 'right side' is pure bullshit
@@ArteiceTB I know that. I was just saying that since sarastic chorus is a massive Blizto and stolas fan (which is fine). So it’s kinda an ironic thing. To have a massive fan of the ship making a massive video on the flaws and even blaming Stolas (rightfully so)
I find it funny how Stolas sang a song about how Blitzø is a mf bc he *check list* didn't reciprocate fast enough his feelings. He said that Blitzø didn't own him anything and then starts to do the opposite and be pissy about Blitzø not reciprocating. This is such an incel behavior
Frankly, it’s pretty upsetting that Stolas acts like a victim just because he was raised with royal blood and is a hypocrite when he dismisses Blitzo like he’s one of his servants
@@stormcgshe does tho, he places the emotional blame on Blitz, and while yes they’ve both made mistakes the inherent power imbalance makes stolas more at fault, plus there’s also the context of how viv very much favors stolas in the narrative. Good example is in miraculous ladybug how marionette acts like a creep but the creator thinks it’s fine and favors her
It’s very refreshing to hear an analysis of this ep from people who aren’t intent on woobifying Stolas to hell and back. A lot of the reviews I’ve seen have basically come down to “Stolas is an innocent baby boy who deserves the world and Blitzo is an abusive heartless asshole”. Which is just obnoxious and tone deaf on every level. You both articulated your points nicely and I enjoyed the discussion, even if I don’t necessarily agree with everything you said. Well done 👏
Stolas got that "21 year old closeted gay college Student trying to discover his sexuality" vibes, you know what i'm sayin'? The thing is… he's a grown ass man in his mid to late 30s with a daughter. He needs to grow up
@@stormcgs He has a whole ass daughter that he constantly neglects to instead spend his time sexualizing an Imp and then gaslight him into saying he's never treated him as a lesser being and that he's tired of Blitzo making it all about sex, when STOLAS is the one that 1. made an entire CONTRACT just to fuck him, 2. sexually harrasses him in public, and 3. is the ONLY ONE from the start who has made it about sex CONSISTENTLY. Not to mention he is a PRINCE, who has imp SERVANTS that he abuses, calls Blitzo his "little play thing", and holds Blitzo's entire future, his and his friends careers-his life itself, in his hands. The power imbalance is insane and Stolas is doing hells version of "Well I don't see color." But he *NEEDS* to see it because its fundimental to their entire relationship! Stolas holds all the cards, while Blitzo holds NONE. Yes, Blitzo is an asshole, but everyone knows that. He's a self-sabotaging selfish asshole. The entire narritive supports it. It goes so far about supporting it that it makes episodes like 'apology tour' to make it crystal clear to everyone watching. Stolas never gets this. Stolas never gets held accountable for his selfish, pathetic, oblivious behavior. (also its crazy... did you know a character can be 'bad' and have countless toxic flaws and you can still like them without having to justify yourself! :O woah!! ) Stolas fans actually acknowledge Stolas is a shitty, classist, gaslighting, hyper-sexual, self-victimizing person challenge: level impossible.
Season 2's Stolas"Why does it always have to be about sex?" Stolas throughout Season One: "I'm calling the only man who can f*ck--I mean, _protect_ me."
Prior to that, *proceeds to list off what he and Blitzo are gonna do when Blitzo gets back with the book, during a job, on a phone call, that lasted for at least seven minutes, or longer, who knows?*
I'm just going to point out that no. Stolas isn't sleeping around with other Imps. When Stella says "are you going to fuck this one too??!" Stolas says "Of course not!" The comment of "I didn't have time to go to hotel" was because of Blitzo
I'm also glad you called out how privileged Stolas is that he only has to work ONCE a month since that's the only time he NEEDS the Grimoire for his "Job" as he calls it. It's not enough that he's royalty who has his every need catered to, 99% of Stolas' time is LEISURE time. If he only needs the Grimoire for the time between fucking Blitzo on the full moon and Blitzo going back the once they're done...What? That's like an hour AT MOST? Think about it. Stolas doesn't need the Grimoire for the entire DAY. Just the span of time between their monthly sex session and Blitzo going home WITH the Grimoire. Unless Blitzo stays the night that's very little time Stolas is actually using the Grimoire to get any ACTUAL work done. When you see it like that it makes the whole arrangement even more scummy. Since 99% of the time Stolas doesn't even need his Grimoire and he could very easily teleport over to Blitzo, take back his Grimoire for however long he needs it on that Full Moon, teleport back and drop it off, rinse and repeat 12 times a year.
Just saying, the Blitz/Fizz ship has never looked more appealing than it does now. Maybe they could work out some kind of poly or open relationship with Ozzie 💀
Asmodeus is the Demon of Lust, i feel like he wouldn't even mind I don't really ship Blitzø and Fizz, but it'd still probably be better for everyone than what's currently going on
It's only gonna get worse from there, in a leaked animatic I saw for season two, Octavia is going to chastise Stolas for using antidepressants in a future episode. Vivziepoop favors this pathetic owl so much that she’s going to have his own daughter insult his mental illness to make him more "sympathetic." I regret nothing sharing this.
What made this inevitable for me is the fact that Stolas is kind of placing all his eggs in one basket by relying on Blitz for his happiness. He seems to believe that if they get together, it’ll magically solve all his problems such as his faltering relationship with Octavia, and the threat of the Goetia bearing their full weight down on him. To me it felt also like he was testing Blitz by seeing what kind of reaction he would have by being freed from their contract. He’s placing a lot of expectation on someone who is never going to be able to live up to what’s being asked of him
"Is Blitz just supposed to settle?!" THIS! Blitz and Stolas have NOTHING in common. Stolas is a posh bookworm and Blitz is an eccentric assassin. Why on Earth would they date each other to begin with? Because it's 'hot?' I only see these kinds of pairings in fanfictions and bad romcoms. It is always forced.
They complement each other very well. They are very much opposites attract but it works. They are very different company for each other - they both like that. Stolas likes the wild side to Blitz likes the refined side to Stolas.
@@KitKatbar168 I think it's obvious. Stolas wants the freedom to be himself - admires that Blitz marches to the beat of his own drum and he wants that, too. Blitz likes Stolas's charm and the fact that he's the only person who makes an effort to get to know him. Most of what they've done is have sex - the show will get to the relationship part. Why are fans so anxious about things that they know are going to happen but haven't yet? There's a lot of the show left.
@@megankissinger8269 that’s the problem I very much and not a fan of stolitz. Vivzie when she has to write male characters (blitzo, moxie) with actual trauma and portray it with respect instead of said characters being treated like dirt or a cheap joke: 😭😡
Imho Stolas's trauma is actually serious, but leaving him aside, this is generalizing a bit. Or maybe limited to HB I don't know; because Angel Dust is easily one of the best representations of an abuse victim who currently can't leave the abusive situation in question and is being constantly revictimized that I've seen in my LIFE, and this is coming from someone who (barring the professional side of Angel's abuse) spent several years in a relationship like his

@@RavenSutcliffeI’m pretty sure I’m talking about blitzo and moxie, hence why I said their names 💁🏽 just because viv does write these characters good doesn’t mean it cancels out the fact she’s not giving other characters the same justice they deserve. Also I’m sorry you went through that
@@starsneptunexxthen I guess just say Blitz and Moxxie's trauma, not "male characters with trauma", because it kinda muddles the point; that's why I was confused. Besides, Moxxie's kinda a pendulum swing: the wedding was a joke, Chaz was a joke, Crimson was absolutely terrifying (in the context of his son, at least). Nothing he did was portrayed as a joke, unless you count the tension-breaker of the dildos in the walls. I also don't think how other characters react is much of a metric, tbh. Look at how most characters react to Angel, including Charlie after directly causing him even more trauma by pissing off Val. Verosika may be sympathetic insofar as Blitz, and not always, but she's still extremely creepy (how tf did she find out about Stolas in 24 hours?) and at best ridiculously hung up on a bad breakup however many years ago. Not that that was my point; I guess I just meant that (valid, imho) complaints about the handling of Blitz's trauma (and Moxx, if you read it like that) get kinda confusing when you make a sweeping statement about Viv's traumatized male characters. That's all. Thank you for the sympathies. I escaped him, it's just that recovery is not linear. Have a good day and please know neither of my comments were meant as an attack, since this is the sort of fandom where you have to clarify because of a certain sector.
@@tokunerdmore3028 Oh sorry, I just thought it looked like Belphegor and I saw a video saying it might be Belphegor. Also the fact she is in a relationship with a hellhound when that stuff is happening makes it even worse. I get that she's a Deadly Sin but it feels like that's getting ignored.
It’s safe to say that Lucifer isn’t the only Sin who’s been neglectful or ignorant about the issues in their respective Ring. Though I guess spending several millennia in exile would make anyone complacent.
I hate how Stolas has become the UwU “he did nothing wrong” cutie patootie of Helluva boss because he could have had such an interesting development. When you mentioned in the video about the series where the rich person sees the poor as his family I immediately thought that Stolas could have been like that ,bc his father had little to no interest in him ,Stolas would grow up to be more mature since he was always alone NOT TO MENTION the little butler who was his caretaker ,sure he was his servant but Stolas could connect with him and care for him emotionally and that’s how he would come to have this mindset that imps are his friends (bc the butler would always be with him). But no he has always been alone , he was married to Stella who ever since she was born she was a psycho apparently, and he has to care for his daughter wich is so unbelievably hard for him (even though Stella is the one that conceived Octavia and has had probably multiple changes in her mind/body with said pregnancy (like extra fat wich she now has a hard time getting rid of or postpartum depression) BUT WHO CARES ABOUT STELLA RIGHT SHE IS IN THE WAY OF OUR 10/10 YAOI FAN FICTION THAT STUPID PICK ME, EMOTIONALLY UNINTELLIGENT IDIOT) and to clarify Stella being abusive to Stolas will never be excused. Abuse is unacceptable. And Stella should be burning in hell for what she has done but Stolas holding an imp servant like a stress toy HAHAHAHA SO FUNNY!!!! Also in the recent episode interview the musical number Stolas is seen hiding in the fridge with the food just scattered around and the imp servant is beside him who is now forced to clean it all up after Stolas ‘s petty party just shows how Stolas sees all imps just like any ars Goetia (or royalty for that matter) , besides Blitzo of course because he is “different “ and he treats him with respect, and who are we kidding he just gets fucked so well by him he just thinks he is the only one that stands out. In my personal opinion this ship has sinced a looong time ago there is nothing capable of saving it! If they make Stolas more of a “bad bitch” he’ll just be more of an asshole, if they give him more trauma it will feel like he has been through all of the abuse that exists and we should feel sorry for him and give him what he wants without earning it through hard work because “he has been through too much”. And I know this will happen I just feel really upset because we could have something so much more different than” a 20yr discovering their gayness and falling in true love ❤️ ❤❤” when it’s just a 30-40yr who has fucked everything up just because he has had a 25 years old crush and he is so privileged he would just die. Anyway does anyone remember that I.M.P was supposed to be about killing humans? I didn’t actually🥲.
I actually liked the detail with the fridge because it might be an indicator of the show acknowledging that Stolas isn’t perfect. I actually feel like the entire episode was the show acknowledging that Stolas isn’t perfect. I like your idea about the imp butler. Stolas could still be a pampered prince without much knowledge of the class system, but him being nice to his imp servants could actually enhance that. He could see the servants as his friends and equals while they see him as an amazing master that they’re incredibly lucky to have (or an annoying, naive rich asshole who doesn’t know anything about the shit they go through - or both). And that could give more backstory to Stolas seeing Blitzo as an actual romantic partner while being oblivious to how Blitzo sees him.
This show went from an adult comedy about imps helping the souls of the damned deal with their unfinished business in the mortal realm, into a stupid Yaoi fanfic many dumb cliches such as…. 1. Childhood friends becoming lovers. 2. The wife or girlfriend of one of the main characters is written to be unlikeable. 3. The childhood friends spend most of their time having way too much sex. 4. Relationship angst. 5. Stupid love triangles between the two friends and that one guy who a lot of people believe he’s gay when really he’s straight. 6. The third act break cliche that’s been done to death in a lot of romcoms. 7. A lot of romantic scenes that come off as abusive in real life. 8. The main plot gets sidelined for stupid childhood romance. 9. A lot of female characters get sidelined to focus on stupid relationship drama. 10. Main character being an angsty asshole while his love interest is stupid and annoying. 11. The main characters going through no growth or character development. 12. A sappy and forced happy ending that will come off as bad in real life, probably with one of the main characters leaving his love interest.
Since watching the Sarcastic Chorus breakdown of the episode, I can say that I am holding onto a sliver of hope that the hypocracy is intentional and will be developed upon soon. However, I can't lie that while watching the confrontation in Full Moon, I was become more and more irate at the idea that Stolas sings about the break-up in the next episode. They better call him on his bullshit SIGNIFICANTLY. Although that may be just me relating to Blitz more than Stolas rn.
I will lose all faith in the story if the next episode is just a bunch of characters ganging up on Blitzø and Stolas doesn't get called out for his role in the mess edit: Well the new episode just came out and, uh
@@Rey_PalpatineI haven’t watched the full episode, but Stolas is already getting on my nerves the first minute, especially since Blitzø is trying to talk and give him a reason
@@montserratmarroquin400This. Also, was it just me or was Blitz acting wildly cruel? Like, not Blitz levels of cruel. It felt like they just made him an extra asshole in that scene just so they'd have a reason for the apology tour and anti-Blitz party scenes to happen. Like...Blitz gets yell-y when he's mad, but I literally don't believe he'd be so sexually aggressive even after told Stolas is uncomfortable with being spoken to that way. (Which, just another example of Stolas' hypocrisy, bc I distinctly remember a certain prince consistently sexually harassing Blitz despite the other's signs of discomfort)
@@kemi_smith Exactly what I thought, the Blitzø hating party really makes it look like a lame excuse to make us hate Blitzø, cuz yes Blitzø is an asshole, but the episode really made it seem like he traumatized an entire nation, also some of them were aparently exes, like really that many exes Also the episode should have been just on Blitzø and Versosika and their problems, like It would have been been really great if we got to see glimpses of their relationship and why Blitzø decide to screw her over but no yet again a Blitzø blaming episode with Stolas being a hypocrite
@@montserratmarroquin400 Yeah. Also *Dennis* was there. Dennis. The guy who Blitz did NOTHING to besides drunkenly insult his name and say he wasn't going to fuck him. So...are we saying Blitz is an asshole for not giving consent to fuck a dude? Like, what qualifies someone to get an invite? There's no way he dated all of those people. I have a hard time believing he even had sex with all of those people, or did *anything* warranting them all hating him to the degree that they commit terribly violent acts to objects with his likeness and throw an annual party dedicated to hating him. There literally are not enough hours in the day for him to fuck over that many people. And like...if he has *this* many exes, serious exes, why were they never brought up? Why was Verosika the ONLY ex ever presented or hinted at? Why does he ONLY have a photo of Verosika if he presumably screwed over this many people in the same way?
Another thing that bothered me was that, during their exchange, Blitz seemingly didnt...know what an Asmodean crystal was? It's like the writers just straight up forgot about Happy Campers...lmfao. Blitz was actively looking for an asmodean crystal during that episode. He knew exactly what it was for. But during the Full Moon, when Stolas gives him the crystal, Blitz is like "oh? What is that? Why are you giving me that?" Lmfao. Makes absolutely zero sense. Introducing Asmodean crystals destroyed the entire plot because there is absolutely no way Blitz would've tried to steal the grimoire from a Goetia instead of stealing an asmodean crystal from a random succubi. And now they are acting like Blitz didn't even know Asmodean Crystals were a thing. Is like the writers keep retconing and rewriting the plot over and over and it's just lame, man.
The crystals are registered on the succubi's names, and can only be opened by the user, why do you think Blitz had to force that one succubi to force to open the portal to him? And he's not asking what it is, he's wondering why Stolas is giving him this. Can you all stop being dense and label everything you all don't understand at first sight a plot hole for fuck sake
@@stormcgs I don't think the whole "it has to be opened by the owner exclusively" was even properly explained in the show. If this is another huge chunk of information on the show's lore NOT addressed in the actual show, but instead revealed or discussed in Twitter or a Podcast, then doesn't count. SHOW, DON'T TELL. And no...Blitz literally didn't seem to know what an Asmodean Crystal is in Full Moon. He explicitly says "A what now?" After Stolas says "this is an Asmodean Crystal", and then Stolas explains how the Asmodean Crystal works. After that, Blitz grabs it, and looks at it like he doesn't know what he's looking at. Analyze the scene. Blitz acts like this is the very first time he encounters am Asmodean Crystal. Is not being dense. The show has massive inconsistency problems just like Hazbin Hotel does it's nothing new.
@@bluespectrum1348 No, Blitz is just stunned by this overblown amount of stuff being thrown at him at once, he spent the entire day prep for the usual stuff only to be greeted by something completely different. Stop taking all so literally, and we literally see Blitz not taking the asmodean crystal from that succubi in S2:E5, its just assuming the obvious
@@stormcgs "Stop taking all so literally" I'm sorry, but I'm just going to believe what I see. I don't want to do mental gymnastics in order to make sense of a show, I also don't want to read information on Twitter or listen to a podcast in order to make sense of a show. If Stolas gives Blitz an asmodean crystal, and Blitz says "a what now?" and proceeds to inspect the crystal closely and shake it like is the first time he encounters one of those, I am going to assume this is yet another writing flip flop. There are way too many to ignore at this point. Just like Stolas going "you assume everything is just about sex" when HE was the one 1) coming with the transactional relationship to begin with, 2) constantly fetishizing Blitz and 3)making everything about Blitz f*cking him. Excuse us all for "taking the show literally" instead of coming up with 1 million excuses to make it make sense since the writing is atrocious. Lmfao.
@@bluespectrum1348 and once again, mf can't use his brain to process one basic thing, the show needs to chew and spit on your mouth for you to understand something so easily explainable, and why I'm not suprised you misinterpret Stolas line as he's blaming Blitz or wondering why he views it as sex, he's literally stating it as an fact, and this fact is the reason for him on why that relationship was over, if even by pouring his heart out to Blitz, the first instinct is that it's not serious and a sex thing, from Stolas POV, it's over, there's nothing to be done, which obviously confuses Blitz who has an diff POV, they're never on the same page, ever.
What annoys me is that, if It was meant for Stolas to be seen as a hypocrite and a bad guy in this situation, I would love how Stolas was portrait. But it is so clear to see that Medranno's team intended for the very beginning to make Stolas the victim and Blitz the one that overreacted. And it shows such a disconnect with the characters like, come on! At this point, the amount of victim blaming happening is because of a lack of attention with your own story. And listen, writing is hard, but I just wonder if they even care sometimes
No, the perspective is: there is no right or good side. Simple as that. Yes, the point of their relationship was always meant to be toxic and unhealthy, feelings would grow from both ends, but due to internal circumstances based on their traumas and the overall social class differences, it would lead to an conflict whose neither are being 'the bad guy'.
@stormcgs yeah okay, I get that was the intention, but they still make Blitz look as the wrong one in the relationship. And in everything really. I know Blitz has issues, but with stolas is almost like they want to ignore everything presented before. It seems like no one gets his side of why he isn't accepting Stolas, and it is often shown to us Stolas in a position of "poor gay man, is suffering" and we all have to be okay with it. At the very least, I wish the writing team had made a few characters calling out Stolas, or having someone on Blitz side. That would make this alot more bearable, but is like they are forcing us to swallow Stolas as the one in the right, and we have to be okay with that
@stormcgs you explained how that was the idea. Doesn't mean it is how it is portrait. The fans knows Stolas is a hypocrite and in the wrong, but so far the show and the characters don't show that understanding And I have a feeling they won't. It doesn't matter if the fans know, the characters need to come with this conclusion
God, poor Octavia she needs to be in better show. As somebody whom parents divorced because of cheating its so frustrating to see Stolas behavior, mf didnt even try become a better parent "seeing stars" was so frustrating, like he only cared for his daughter only when it's convenient to him. Sorry for bad english
Thank you man like the plot legit bends to stolas’s will to try to make him look better and he takes so time from other characters who need Millie hm hm
@@plottwist205 I should've known it was gonna be more of a Stolitz sobfest than an actual episode. At least Verosika came back because she's the only reason I even watched it.
No it doesn't. It's just focusing on Blitz right now. He's a serial sabotager - Stolas is not. He's the main character - Stolas is not, at least for now. His time is coming.
Imagine if in Hazbin season 2 Valention will pull a "I think so highly of you only for you to think so low on me" card on Angel. Will the people accept that?
Excellent question that I'd love to see the answer to, actually! Frankly, it could go either way, seeing as how Valentino's at least currently (quite rightly, I might add) painted as a monster because he's been SAing and otherwise abusing Angel for probably decades in addition to all the other nasty shit him and the other Vees have been up to for years/decades, and the fandom mostly sees Valentino as an irredeemable monster (again, quite rightly)-however, Stolas was also initially written as a total scumbag the audience was NOT supposed to sympathize with before getting turned into the uwu bby boy he's written as now so...
@@lunaitor-uq9hzValentino doesn't have a DAUGHTER. Sure, he's worse, but that doesn't really justify Stolas. Also, Val Is objectively worse because the show TREATS HIM like he's bad (because he Is), while that doesn't happen with Stolas
How much of a bad writer do you have to be when you make a character so unsympathetic and unlikable that fans convince themselves that it was *intentional* to make him come across as this much of a narcissistic abuser. Yes I’m sure Viv wants you to see Stolas, the guy who cries constantly and even has a music video about how sad and in love he is, who constantly has excuses thrown his way for his behavior like neglecting Via and having power over Blitzo, who was literally retconned in season 2’s premiere episode to be some naive lovesick idiot with a wife so comically abusive the best photos they could take of her was her choking puppies. That Stolas.
Stella's role in the series wasn't written serious enough to make me empathise with a man who's Just as Bad as her. Stolas is pretty juvenile and naive to be a man in His mid 30s and still acting Like a 21 year old Party animal.
@@laurav5767 honestly, as a child from divorced parents, and which one actually cheated on the other, I actually feel like Medranno didn't gave two Shits to make this whole plot point as interesting as it could've being. Also blitz is actually a really good dads in my opinion especially for a kid he adopted as an teen kid like the way he help her with the shot issues is very nice

Stolitz is so… ugh! Reminds me of my past relationship where my ex was treated like the victim when she was the abuser and everyone blamed me! How people defend this relationship I do not understand
20:15 he’s also royalty who has definitely received some of the highest education and knows about the social hierarchy enough about how the system works. This is what people really forget about and it’s insane like Blitz is a literal imp with very little to almost no education and has almost no power in hell. The literal lowest in the ranks after hellhounds.
Tbf there's a difference between knowing about a hierarchy and being constantly aware of it. Like Stolas is privileged enough to where he can just ignore it and he's honestly shown as dense enough socially to not understand that you can't just ignore away that the person you're screwing has to be hyperaware of the power imbalance between the two of you at all times. He's a grown man but an idiot at being one. So I'd buy it if he academically knew all about the hierarchy but thought he could just "I'll treat the people i care about as equals, I'm sure that fixes everything" Out of it. Amd he doesn't even really do that with Blitz.
Do you think any high class education Stolas got focused at all on the feelings of imps and everything they have to deal with? Obviously said education would downplay class struggle and paint royals as the good guys.
I can't believe seeing Stolas defenders here grasping at straws to defend the "uwu soft boy" rapist owl, while Stolas was not only confirmed to stalk Blitz constantly (S1:E1) but also belittles him with pet names, despite Blitz telling him over and over again to stop that. It sickens me to see people that are willing to forgive a horrible person just because of their charisma and because Stolas has a daughter, which, spoilers, rightfully lashes out against him because Octavia ended up piecing together what happened and she gets vilified for that and not accepting the overarching, endgame Stolitz. This show will progress and end like Star Vs The Forces of Evil, mark my words. And before you whine to me that Stolas isn't a rapist, let me tell you that coercion ≠ consent, what Stolas did and still does is, indeed, coercion as he held Blitz's job over his head through the book and sexually extorted him through the Full Moon deal, and no, Blitz wasn't the one who started all of it, it was Stolas himself, quote "You're here to RAVISH me." meaning that Stolas forced himself onto Blitz, and Blitz only followed and acted along because he needed to steal the grimoire and he knew that he would be fucked if Stolas found out that Blitz wasn't there to "ravish" him, but rather, stealing the book that Stolas needs to work with, henceforth, Stolas coerced Blitz, period. And just because Stolas cried or had an emotional imbalance doesn't absolve him from his actions at all, and don't bother parroting the "the both were in the wrong" excuse here, because Stolas is clearly the one in power on his relationship with Blitz, Blitz was just rightfully calling him out on his bullshit because Stolas hadn't done nothing but sexually extort Blitz and all of a sudden, Stolas acts lovey-dovey without any fucking reason, confusing Blitz to no end. Also, do not forget the fact that Blitz never actually wanted anything romantic with Stolas, everything he did with Stolas was with the purpose of using him but nothing else, he only went on a "date" with Stolas because he needed a second person to enter Ozzie's and stalk M&M like he always does, and sex ≠ love, the only reason why Blitz is catching feelings for Stolas is because of a developing Stockholm Syndrome. In conclusion, Stolas was, and still is, in the wrong, no matter how hard you want to twist it, Stolas was the one who fucked Blitz's and Octavia's lives just because he wanted to get some imp cock. Striker should've headshot him smh
The “you’re here to ravish me” line was meant to be a joke. Blitzo took it seriously and played into it in an attempt to get the book, and Stolas didn’t realize it because he doesn’t have any social skills. I’m not saying Blitzo is in the wrong, I’m just pointing that out. And I don’t think anyone is trying to pretend that Stolas wasn’t coercing Blitzo into having sex. Sure, Stolas genuinely didn’t realize what he was doing, but he was still doing it and he’s just realizing that now. However, he’s still more or less the same; he still knows nothing about Blitzo and has little to no consideration for Blitzo’s feelings.
You know what? I definitely agree with this. No matter how his fans always defend him, he's not a victim here. Both were in fault. Even if he said he was joking with the "Ravishing" part, he continue to make the relationship completely sexual. Never telling Blitz if he wants to be more than just a "friends with benefits". And I find it so hypocritical when he said Blitz make the relationship all about sex when HE'S the one who makes it. Almost all the episode in season 1, S1EPS1, S1EPS2, S1EPS5, S1EPS6, (And the pilot episode as a bonus even though it's not canon anymore) he clearly makes the relationship all about sex, until when he shows that he fell in love romantically with Blitz in S1EPS7. But he never say anything about wanting to really go on a date on Blitz. No wonder why Blitz still thinking that he only wants him for sex. C'mon, Stolas fans. You need to accept that your favorite character are not an "uwu soft gay boy" who cannot make any mistakes.
This is hands down the dumbest fandom in human history. Stolas said it was a joke and was very uncomfortable with Blitz flirting with him - it was equal blame there. And you can see hints of romance from Blitz as early as episode 5.
Beelzebub dating a normal hellhound not being brought up as a unhealthy power dynamic is so strange to me. She's literally the embodiment of one of the seven deadly sins and people are just fine with her dating a normal civilian while Stolas gets so much flack even if he's lower in the hierarchy of Hell.
because the goetias are literal royal monarchy, they usually have more of a name and a title to maintain, meanwhile the deadly sins are independent, they literally rule entire rings, so I don't think they would even bother will all of this red tape bullshit
@@samflood5631 Well, there's this manga series, _Zetsuai 1989,_ that I really like. There's also an OVA about it. _Mirage of Blaze_ is also pretty good, IMO.
Yes, somebody finally fucking said it. I can’t stand it when the fandom baby stolas completely gets on, blitz his ass for not reciprocating his feelings
Fr like get tf over yourself stolas, he didn't even give blitz time to think about anything and he just teleports him away. And also, the only thing stolas talks about to blitz is sex, and then he's like "omg why is everything about sex 😭😭😭" like gurl 💀 And he also says "I tHinK sO vErY hIgh oF yOu I dIdNt rEaLiZe yOu tHinK so LoW oF Me" like wtf does stolas even know about blitz another then sex with him?
Stolas used to be my ABSOLUTE favorite character. I was one of the fans who defended S2E1 tooth and nail (and still do because I think it's a great episode and I strongly disagree with everyone saying it's a retcon or whatever nonsense), and I was (still am to an extent) a huge Stolitz truther. This episode managed to make me want to slap Stolas into the moon. Both ways. (Conversely Blitzø is now my new favorite child and I will be filing for full custody until the rich boy gets his act together)
The difference between Blitzø's fans and Stolas's fans is that: Blitzø's fans understand that both of them are wrong, and both of them fcked up, the most of Blitzø's fans have Blitzø as favorite bc he's a mf, and we love him for being a mf(the good kind of mf). Stolas's fans(the most of them, not all) just say that Stolas deserves the world and he did nothing wrong and only Blitzø is wrong, bc Stolas is just a sad innocent gay boy. (Also, people only excuse Stolas cuz he's the bottom, convince me other wise. Like- just think in they'r relationship if Blitzø was the bottom, Stolas doesn't sound so silly anymore, does he? He sounds a little bit like Valentino, doesn't he?)
I wish the endgame was Blitz adopting Octavia too, getting all his shit back together (with his sister and himself since he is good with Ozzie now) and maybe even having Verosika as a friend but not partner, getting with Dennis (as a redemption thing)
Stolas may be a soft spoken character, but his actions speak louder. He sang a nihilistic lullaby to his daughter about the world ending and him dying, he cheats on his wife for someone who he had a one sided friendship with as children, and he is negligent to his child. He is unintentionally classist, racist, and is constantly not listening to Blitzø and infantilizing and abusing him with the power imbalance of their statuses. Stolas also makes everything sexual, and has always, even if unintentionally, looked down on Blitzø as an "impish plaything"
I also want to point out Blitzø also has issues. He has serious self-loathing that leads to destructive behaviors like stealing from Verosika, bullying Moxxie, babying Loona, etc. Blitz also seems to blame himself a lot, and the fact Stolas can't see that is ridiculous. Blitz yelling is his way of being heard, making it clear what his opinions are, because he is used to being a outspoken lower-class species. He may have shown care to Stolas recently in Apology Tour, but Stolas needs to take accountability for treating everything as a rom com, and Blitzø needs Stolas to realize that.
IMO, a man in a position of power taking out his trauma & lust on a working-class character while at the same time genuinely loving him (even if that love is twisted and fucked-up) is so much more compelling than the uwu obliwious gay baby Stowas we have now.
I have to say that with Full Moon, I lost all interest in Helluva Boss: Stolas is once again the "poor pitiful victim" and the drama at the end is just contrived: Why should Blitz feel wronged after Stolas shows him a way out of forced hibernation with the Asmodeus crystal? Huh?! I really got the feeling that the scene was only written that way for that reason: To portray Blitz as the bad guy again, who doesn't want to realize that poor little Stolas just wants love from him after all, boo.... I found the cherubs completely annoying and unnecessary in this episode. (They were already extremely forgettable characters in the first season) I would have liked it better if they had cut them out completely and concentrated more on the relationship between Stolas and Blitz. Personally, I would have liked it better if Blitz, instead of running around, had happily taken the crystal and then run out of the palace laughing with a "Bye, birdie asshole". Stolas would initially remain standing in the room, perplexed, until he consciously admits to himself that he has projected far too much into this relationship and begins to focus more on himself and his responsibilities. Season 2 has completely broken Stolas and Blitz for me and has degraded them to the typical "Are they finally getting together?" soap couples. I wouldn't be surprised if that resolves itself in the very next episode for some cockamamie reason and they get back together... until some other stupid reason breaks them up again and they start all over again until Vivzie's fangirls and fansboys are no longer interested in the nonsense.
Unfortunately the more we keep watching New next episodes the more plot holes come in, and It's frustrating because every conflict or dialogues with character sometimes inconsistent or being ignored. It's like every episodes in S2 are some kinda special movies.
@@erkooamiraliev3043 Season 2 is complete garbage, but that doesn't seem to stop hardcore fans of the show from praising it to the skies in an almost religious manner. Vivziepop could practically film herself taking a big dump and the fans would frenetically cheer it as a masterpiece. 😅
@@queensil6502 I don't know why but after analysis s1 (again) I can definitely agree with your opinion now. You can actually found out tropes.
After watching both Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss, they both display great potential, but unfortunately, they both went to waste because of Viv's love of one character so much, she ended up pushing said character into the forefront. Alastor and Lucifer for Hazbin Hotel and Stolas for Helluva Boss. But the biggest problem with them is that not only does it drive away potential fans and also turn off newcomers as well. I wanted to like them, but they ended up being worse. They look great visually, but writing wise, they're terribly executed. Say what you will about the other shows, especially the bad ones, at least they manage to follow through their premises and stay with it. Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss doesn't follow through their original premises at all.
True. I didn't get the hype the 2 Shows were getting, the Story went in a completely different direction. Not to mention how rushed and lazy they are, when it comes to the Character Writing and pacing.
@laurav5767 Yes. I gave them a try, and after seeing many people's reaction and criticism, I feel like they are hyped for the wrong reasons. It's like the shows are clickbait, you expecting something, but you ended up with something completely different, as if they lied to you.
@@josephmonasky9495 wow, you Just got the words Out of my mouth. They left me different with completely different Views on the Show. I actually Liked the idea helluva Boss being basically the Office Set in hell and Hazbin Hotel to be a slice of Life Type of Show about rehab
Spot on with that last sentence lol. Despite their names, the shows rarely actually touch on what their names imply. "Helluva Boss" = literally implies a show about a boss's rocky relationship with his employees, interacting with various wacky clients, and the boss and employees gradually growing closer and more respecting of each other; given that the name is obviously derived from "You're one helluva boss." But nope, instead its almost solely about the boss's clunky, convoluted relationship with a random prince, and barely even shows the main characters doing their jobs or interacting with clients. "Hazbin Hotel"= a show about a hotel and its washed up and sinful inhabitants eventually trying to be better people and maybe gradually even get to know each other. But instead only like 2 characters get enough development that can barely be called an arc thanks to the unfortunately rushed and messy pacing.
@laurav5767 What's really disappointing is that these shows' premises have amazing potential. I would've imagined if they got some of the writers from The Simpsons, Family Guy, King of the Hill, Bojack Horseman, F is for Family, Big Mouth, and et cetera to bring them to life, as long as they keep Viv out of the writer's room.
God dawn that Background art is just PERFECT to describe alot of things about Hellvua Boss at this point. Its just like.... I like the Drama AND LOVE the Wholesomeness, but WTF IS THIS show anymore?! Like we basically have 2 Stories going on at this point: 1. I.M.P and their relationships and 2. Stolas Family Drama. Why oh WHY is all the KILLING happening off screen now? That kinda what the show was PITCHED on! We only really care about the I.M.P crew and Octavia. The Dorks and Churbs are just Antagonists, not even the Main Villans. Far as Stolas and Blitz's relationship goes, Ill just repeat what I said elsewhere: "If it wasn't for Blitz realizing he has feelings for Stolas, HE WOULD BE LAUGHING IS ASS OFF ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK, having just pulled off the biggest con job in hell! BLITZ need the Book, Stolas needed/Wanted Blitz," end of story. After last episode he could just WALK AWAY and we would never have to deal with Stolas, Octavia and Stella again. Blitz has an Osmodious Crystal now, he doesn't NEED Stolas or the Book now, so all that Stolas family drama can just GO AWAY. We really ARE just along for the ride at this point, we have come this far may as well see it though to the end. But MAN is it Painful to watch Stolas and Blitz try to have a relationship. Their relationship was only ever Transactional, then they both developed feelings for each other, STOLAS clearly doesn't know blitz beyond THE SEX, and Blitz is just a Traumatized Moron. Those are my final thoughts on FULL MOON.
Stolas acts like an immature teen for being mad at Blitz for wanting to come back to the sex deal, sing his heart out where he DOESN'T diss Blitz and instead almost reach points of self reflection being held back by Verosika and Vortex and actually choosing to have a fun time at the very end of the episode with someone (and even then he was considerate enough to look at Blitz to confirm he's okay with it). Y'all are just acting like the Stolas fanboys who baby him, except now with Blitz. Addressing he is a toxic person with bad habits of pushing people away is not 'victim blaming'
@ArteiceTB It's like you saying to Stolas: "You have ONE more chance to prove your love for your daughter IS REAL, otherwise I gonna take her to a foster house and then call child protective services to have a little talk with you."
I am so glad you posted a video about this cause I love your commentary on Helluva Boss and it always manages to keep my attention. For all the royalty stuff, I get having a favorite character so you want to bend the rules a bit to have them look good, but Viv is jumping through obvious hoops to make Stolas look like the good guy to the determent of the rest of her story and her other characters.
Octavia only comes into the picture to make people pitty Stolas. like the skit with a rock that no one cares about, but give the rock kids and suddenly people do care. I am just worried Apology tour is going to be Blitz groveling for forgiveness from Stolas and Stolas will never have to try or improve again, because Blitz (rightfully in my opinion) lashed out but he feels bad about it the narrative is written so Stolas is the wronged party despite Blitz being abused by Stolas this whole time. But stolas cried, so audience feel bad for him!
Yes! Yes! People instantly go to the Owl Twig's aid whenever Octavia or Blitz are involved along with Stella even though he's nowhere near innocent. They're too blind to see that and just see him as a victim.
You’re the one who thinks crying means the writers want you to see Stolas the good guy. Have you considered that Stolas’ emotional instability could be an intentional demonstration of consistent character flaws, such as him being emotionally immature and delusional? Viv has basically said as much on Twitter.
@gigachad3925 appology tour is out and Blitz is depicted as the bad guy. Stolas never had to face his faults, show improvement or acknowledge the stuff he put Blitz through. When stolas is on screen the narrative says: don't you feel sorry for him :( oooh poor pokey When Blitz Iis on screen: he's so mean to Stolas, Boo everyone
I actually had a mental breakdown bcs of ep 9 since i can relate to Blitz (i don't have any ex's just lot's of fucked friendships and stuff), plus i have a BPD. I know this sound stupid but sometimes i really think that so many people may hate me just because i overthink so many things and end up leaving behind. So like seeing this ANTI-BLITZO party kinda triggered me. Legit after i watched this ep i wanted to die. It's like i knew some people would do such a thing for me because i hate myself and i'm a shitty person so why wouldn't they?
@@klamacz47 No, it's obvious at this point that the writing does victim blame Blitz. So many people hate it and RELATE to it. The show constantly puts him in uncomfortable situations, for the sake of a toxic ship... another triggering topic they screwed up. Another one being the divorce issue- its all done wrong and written horribly almost like it supports it. To tell someone "thats your own problem" is so daft.
At this point, this show should be renamed.... "The Blitzø Torture Show" My favorite character has suffered enough! Tbh, this video fuels me to write out a better partner for Blitzø, he deserves it!
One thing I recently realized is that the V word always changes sides according to the public's reaction. Like a while ago, when Stolas was still considered the only victim of this whole situation, she made it clear in every tweet she made about this ship that Blitzo was the only one to blame, that he was the wrong one while Stolas was the saint one. But not long ago when people started to notice and criticize all of Stolas' hypocrisy because of the episode "Full Moon", she started to say that in fact the two were guilty and made mistakes. She just can't hold her own goddamn mind for 5 minutes
@@stormcgs She literally liked a tweet saying that Blitzo needed to get his head out of his ass before getting in a relationship with Stolas, like he's the only one to blame

Like fuck you dude lmao.
Exactly, we should rename the new show: "The Blitzø Torture Show" they're literally just trying to victimize Stolas... make Blitzø the bad guy, heck (idk why I put this here) but the way they animated/wrote the scenes for Blitzø getting some kinda torture method (bad trip, physical abuse, humiliation and manipulation) feel like "HAWT/jerk off of it" material (sorry if this feel way too dirty-minded but it just came up) 😭😭

I hate how much potential is wasted with Stolas, he could have been such an interesting character if the writers just accepted his flaws instead of just telling us he’s 100% innocent all the time!!! He could work on his flaws and develop, and it would be cool to see and make us like him more.
I hate how they just retroactively made Stella worse in order to make Stolas look good. I'm like 90% sure that it wasn't planed from the begging. In actualy good stories, when you're at a later point in the series and go back at earlyer ones you get a clearer view of the characters involved, but here the narative just falls apart and I'm gonna give some exsamples. 1) "The only reasoason I put off with your constant abuse is so that girl could have a normal life" That sounds like a good idea on paper, but there's no fucking way that Via wouldn't notice this. Children do notice when their parents fight and that's coming from a child whose parents marrige was at least functional, so I can't even imagine what it's like for a girl whose parents were forced into marrige and all things considered too young to have a child. I might have bought the whole thing if they just made Stella more suptle in her mockery of Stolas, because it's a big ass house and if she's insulting him, that way it could've flown over Vias head or maybe Stella only did it when she was on the other side of the house, it's a big ass house Via might not have heard them. But no, instead we get Stella mocking him every chance she gets, vey publicaly and very much not trying to hide it. I'm sorry but there's no fucking way that Octavia thought that her parents didn't hate eachother before the afair when Stella is litteraly throwing parties on the ocasion that they aren't divorced yet. But we can't let Stella have at least a tad bit of restraint, no she must be as nasty and sadistic as humanly possible because otherwuse how are we going to sympathise with our poor babyowl Stolas. If we didn't make his situation as grim as possible, we might have to actualy unpack his actions and beheaviour and god forbid we do that. 2)"Cheating implies there were feeling involved" ... No, cheating implies that you broke a mutual agreement not to fuck other people. She wasn't angry because she had actual feelings for him, she was angry because he humiliated her. Very publicaly might I add. Oh wait no I forgot, she's actualy not angry at all and is just tormenting Stolas for the sake of it and his little afair is just an excuse, got it. 3) "Thank god one egg fell out of me" It's not enough for Stella to be awful to Stolas, she also had to be awful to Via, thinking of her only as a means to torment Stolas, otherwise you might feel like his afair is not only a betrayal of Stella, but his daughter too. But you see, since Stella is such an awful mother Stolas is justified in cheating on her. There are no words to describe how much I hate this, Via has never whatsoever implied that she had issues with her mother before the divorce arc, not to mention that we are yet to see them interact, or get some sort of info on their relationahip that doesn't involve Stolas. In the flashback of episode 2, when Via has a nightmare, Via calls out for them both, Stolas tells Stella and she tells him to get up himself. If it's been clear from the day one that Stella only saw Via as an object, I don't think Stolas would've asked her. If Via and her mom had any baggage it would've been brought up, or at least it should've been children do notice when their parent doesn't give a shit about them. 4) I mostly think that the whole thing is a retcon because early episodes don't line up with the flashbacks of later ones. In episode 2 he Stella is throwing things at him and he is trying to casualy brush off her concerns. No mention of the fact that he just anounced their divorce in front od a bunch of her friends. Also the whole scene he is just dismisive of her, like he knows he's in the wrong but he just doesn't want to hear it. To be fair it could've been about him just not having it in him to argue butvI realy think it's the other thing. 5) What you thought that Stella might be a petty vendictive bith because she too was forced into a loveless marrige from a young age, having her life planed out for her and denied any sort of agency, so she lashes out at the few things within her control. Well it's good that you're not gona have to think about that, because heres a picture of a six year old Stella strangling a dog, so she's juat always been awful, thank god we don't have to think about the implications of that. I hate this bird with a burning passion. The way the entire universe will bend itself backwards just to justify his stupid ass decisions. Initialy I used to like this story, I like the possibility of a repressed gay man finaly geting to explore this part of himself, but not thinking of the future because, well he is only focuse on what he has missed in the youth that was blatantly stolen from him. That's why I liked Looloo land, it held no punches in regards to Stolas being carrying but also inconsiderate. It took every oportunity to make fun of him for it. But fast forward a few episodes and sudenly every scene where he's in has to have "Well, he's trying his best" written somewhere on the screen Stella doesn't need to be good in order to feel well written, what she needs for writters treat her anger as just, even if her actions are not. Stolas doesn't need to except being colletoral damage to her wrath, but the writters need to stop treating her as a scape goat every time Stolas writtes himself into a corner.
Oh and let's not to mention that in episode 1 we can clearly see him being able to see Blitz while he is in danger through the bubbles of his bathtub. Like he could have done anything to save him. But nope. He just have to ramble on and on about meat riding Blitz mean while Blitz is about to die
I’m starting to worry that Blitzø is becoming this show’s Catra In SPOP, Catra was a child soldier who’s trauma led her to doing some pretty terrible things, and instead of being given a chance to grow, they did 2 things: 1.) Every time she did the right thing, it blew up in her face (example: trying to trust Shadow Weaver and move on/heal with their relationship, trying to protect Entrapta from Hordak only for Entrapta to befriend the person who has been consistently abusive towards her and forced her into being a child soldier in the first place… but Catra is the bad guy for “betraying” Entrapta, apparently) 2.) Use those wrongdoings (which again, she was only toxic and self destructive because she grew up in an impossible environment and was punished by the narrative every time she tried to grow) to justify her abuse. Perfect example? When DT said ‘maybe they’re not the problem’ after showing Hordak and Shadow Weaver, who were just objectively abusive, and Scorpia, who constantly invaded her personal space and tried to push herself on her (and then victim blamed her by calling her a bad friend for finally snapping at her for it). This scene was hyped up by both the show and audience to be a big wake up call moment, but all it was the writers using DT to victim blame Catra to the point she became suicidal (She literally told Glimmer to kill her. Why does no one talk about this?) This show is taking a worryingly similar path with Blitzø and it frustrates me, I really hope I’m jumping the gun and we get more fairness for Blitzø in the future, but after seeing what happened to Catra I’m hesitant to get my hopes up Edit: Also the “oh actually he’s an uwu baby” turn that they took with Stolas kind of reminds me of when SPOP did the same thing with Hordak, although tbh I do kinda like Stolas in concept. I just think his arc needs to be written harsher/more critically. Hordak was just unfixable after s1 lol
From what I've seen, Stolas is a definition "Woobie" a character that is victimized by every little thing, often having the writers contort characters and themes into whatever makes the woobie more of the victim. Since the writers love the Woobie so much, these victim moments will never be used for character development or self-reflection, but instead to make the character deceptively well written, since so many people and writers themselves think that trauma upon trauma with no growth or real purpose automatically make the characters sympathetic or well written. The writers would rather make every character seem like Satan (which is funny to say about a show in Hell, ik) himself instead of toning down the constant victimizing and actually developing the character. Honestly this is a constant issue for me with Viv's works (among plenty other things) she has one (often male, often lgbt, which is of course not bad, but its a pattern) character that has more trauma than personality, gets sexualized by the show, and will never be shown as wrong in the show, or if they are, will not keep any lesson learned. I think this is why so many see this series and Hazbin Hotel as "edgy tumblr personified"
"victim blaming" literally everything that Blitz talks in this episode dismisses this 'victim' status in the trash. But of course y'all wanna keep the hate boner going

I agree, so much of this is on Stolas. Even when people say that Blitz got confused and broke Stolas’ heart, that’s still on Stolas because he made this huge reveal on the night they agreed to have sex. It’s still Stolas’ fault for why Blitz got confused, he has no excuse to act so surprised and try to pass blame onto Blitz for “making everything about sex”.

So it's been noted that Andrealphus's behavior towards Stella has an incestuous vibe.
You never told me this, and now you expect me to understand right away and fall in love, when all I have ever been is your sexy imp plaything?"
These fans are drivin' me up the wall!
And it is only unbearable because they can't write the romance half of it right; there's no romance, cuteness, fluff, chemistry, probably because it is one sided & not meant to be rooted for.. which sucks because I sort of wish it could be
first, there is no abuser or victim.
second, anyone who takes a side like there is a right and a wrong is stupid.
@@stormcgs they both have abused eachother though.
Blitzø abused first by manipulating stolas for the book and did sexually assault him. Stolas responded to this by then trapping him in an arrangement and sexually assaulting blitz and sexually harassing him multiple times.
Which are abuse
Clearly.
@guineapig5858 stolas assumed blitzo was there to have sex with him. blitzo, once again, went along with it. Is it really abuse if stolas liked it???
Never
Even if they look like their enjoying it to you. Stolas does concent after but it doesn't make blitz going onto him when he said no okay. So yeah he does sexualy harass stolas
Mild spoiler for apology tour:
I feel like it is extremely unfair when Blitzo starts to bring up the power imbalance for Stolas to immediately accuse him of sounding like Striker.
Let's see:
They were childhood friends for *1* day *25* years ago.
No, it just showed more of Blitz's views and just throw every inch of that 'victim' status y'all love to put in your holes

'acts like a victim'

Both Blitz and Stolas are valid for the way they reacted
Wouldn’t that mean Stella is cursed too?
@@stormcgshe does tho, he places the emotional blame on Blitz, and while yes they’ve both made mistakes the inherent power imbalance makes stolas more at fault, plus there’s also the context of how viv very much favors stolas in the narrative.
He needs to grow up
He's an adult whose first real sexual experience was in his 30s, of course he would be emotionally immature.
@@stormcgs you're right, but still- be could be more respectful of His daughter's feelings
So, what you're saying is he's a Baby Gay? 🤔

When Stella says "are you going to fuck this one too??!" Stolas says "Of course not!"
The comment of "I didn't have time to go to hotel" was because of Blitzo

Vivzie when she has to write male characters (blitzo, moxie) with actual trauma and portray it with respect instead of said characters being treated like dirt or a cheap joke: 😭😡
Imho Stolas's trauma is actually serious, but leaving him aside, this is generalizing a bit. Or maybe limited to HB I don't know; because Angel Dust is easily one of the best representations of an abuse victim who currently can't leave the abusive situation in question and is being constantly revictimized that I've seen in my LIFE, and this is coming from someone who (barring the professional side of Angel's abuse) spent several years in a relationship like his
I know Moxxie is often the butt of the joke, but when is his *trauma* portrayed disrespectfully?

That's all.

The show was never supposed to be just about IMP from the start.
This show went from an adult comedy about imps helping the souls of the damned deal with their unfinished business in the mortal realm, into a stupid Yaoi fanfic many dumb cliches such as….

I disagree but alright
Since watching the Sarcastic Chorus breakdown of the episode, I can say that I am holding onto a sliver of hope that the hypocracy is intentional and will be developed upon soon. However, I can't lie that while watching the confrontation in Full Moon, I was become more and more irate at the idea that Stolas sings about the break-up in the next episode. They better call him on his bullshit SIGNIFICANTLY. Although that may be just me relating to Blitz more than Stolas rn.
I will lose all faith in the story if the next episode is just a bunch of characters ganging up on Blitzø and Stolas doesn't get called out for his role in the mess
edit: Well the new episode just came out and, uh
@@kemi_smith Exactly what I thought, the Blitzø hating party really makes it look like a lame excuse to make us hate Blitzø, cuz yes Blitzø is an asshole, but the episode really made it seem like he traumatized an entire nation, also some of them were aparently exes, like really that many exes
Also the episode should have been just on Blitzø and Versosika and their problems, like It would have been been really great if we got to see glimpses of their relationship and why Blitzø decide to screw her over but no yet again a Blitzø blaming episode with Stolas being a hypocrite

@@stormcgs "Stop taking all so literally" I'm sorry, but I'm just going to believe what I see.

That would make this alot more bearable, but is like they are forcing us to swallow Stolas as the one in the right, and we have to be okay with that
@@leavemealone802 I literally just explained how the writing doesn't portray Stolas as in the right fam

However, he’s still more or less the same; he still knows nothing about Blitzo and has little to no consideration for Blitzo’s feelings.
your perception on the show and characters is absolutely horrendous.
Holy shit the media literacy and basic social skills of this fandom are abysmal.

The show wants you to pity stolas but I have a good memory.
I was shocked that this video was made before apology tour bc it literally predicted so much
The difference between Blitzø's fans and Stolas's fans is that:
Blitzø's fans understand that both of them are wrong, and both of them fcked up, the most of Blitzø's fans have Blitzø as favorite bc he's a mf, and we love him for being a mf(the good kind of mf).
That thumbnail is a real work of art 😂❤
I can’t believe they never talk about that
Oh hell yes. This is what I needed for this dreadful morning.
APOLOGY TOUR! IT UGH! THE WRITING TEAM CAN’T KEEP DOING THIS!
Why?
IMO, a man in a position of power taking out his trauma & lust on a working-class character while at the same time genuinely loving him (even if that love is twisted and fucked-up) is so much more compelling than the uwu obliwious gay baby Stowas we have now.
Also this cover art is AMAZING
I have to say that with Full Moon, I lost all interest in Helluva Boss:
Stolas is once again the "poor pitiful victim" and the drama at the end is just contrived:
Why should Blitz feel wronged after Stolas shows him a way out of forced hibernation with the Asmodeus crystal?

I’m not a Stolas hater by any means. But it feels good to see other people agreeing that he has faults. The show is straight up babying him right now
This is going to be DELIGHTFUL. Oh I've been waiting for this video so long! Lol! ❤
Please talk about the new chapter, Stolas Act like a total immature teen, all like a drama queen.
@stormcgs you’re trying so hard to be neutral it’s insane
I love the artwork you had for this video. Perfectly encapsulates how I feel about Stolas after Full Moon
I love the thumbnail lol 😂
So apology tour is out by now and I’m sorry to say that’s pretty much exactly what happened
@@ew8286 lmao I know I saw it. Disappointed but not surprised
@gigachad3925 appology tour is out and Blitz is depicted as the bad guy. Stolas never had to face his faults, show improvement or acknowledge the stuff he put Blitz through.
When stolas is on screen the narrative says: don't you feel sorry for him :( oooh poor pokey
When Blitz Iis on screen: he's so mean to Stolas, Boo everyone
Honestly Octavia is the only good Goetia family member at this point
Apparently Vassago will be good
I actually had a mental breakdown bcs of ep 9 since i can relate to Blitz (i don't have any ex's just lot's of fucked friendships and stuff), plus i have a BPD.

I'm impatiently waiting for the apology tour video. I just found the channel and I crave more. I
Thank you for standing up for blitz, stolas is unbearable at this Point
'V word'
and no, this perspective never existed, just because fans do doesn't mean it's the canon one.
@@stormcgs She literally liked a tweet saying that Blitzo needed to get his head out of his ass before getting in a relationship with Stolas, like he's the only one to blame

@@Amy-ts9gmyes but I think people don’t understand that to her, Stolas’s mistakes are endearing flaws while Blitzo’s is malicious.
@@Birdyboys I agree with her seeing Stolas’ flaws as endearing but Blitz as malicious? That would mean that she thinks Blitz intentionally hurts people, and based on how the series explains why Blitz is the way he is, I don’t think that’s the case.
The fandom and the writers giving bakudeku shippers 😭
NAH FRR
I'll admit that I don't know a whole lot about MHA but from what I understand, Bakugo bullied Deku relentlessly for YEARS, like for what reason would they EVER get together??
Bakudeku is actually a REALLY great comparison to how messed up Stolitz is.
I can already tell Blitz is gonna be made to be the one to apologize and the show is gonna try and do a whole "oh well both sides are in the wrong here" and like bro, no, I'm so sick of that bullshit- especially when it isn't done well.
Like dog, Blitz gets dunked on by everyone in the show, has been sexually harassed and extorted, physically abused by the adoptive daughter he saved, like dude, does this show expect me to laugh and sympathize with Stolas just cause he cried??? Like fuck you dude lmao.
Exactly, we should rename the new show: "The Blitzø Torture Show" they're literally just trying to victimize Stolas... make Blitzø the bad guy, heck (idk why I put this here) but the way they animated/wrote the scenes for Blitzø getting some kinda torture method (bad trip, physical abuse, humiliation and manipulation) feel like "HAWT/jerk off of it" material (sorry if this feel way too dirty-minded but it just came up) 😭😭
Nah you make a valid point- it reminds me of what Mr. Enter used to complain about what would happen to Squidward in later episodes but dialed up to fuckin' 20. @Csolanogabriel
I swear to God, if they make BLITZO apologize for hurting STOLAS, I’m going to be…not happy.

Sent this to my bff who is aka ‘the number one stolas defender’
1) "The only reasoason I put off with your constant abuse is so that girl could have a normal life"
That sounds like a good idea on paper, but there's no fucking way that Via wouldn't notice this.
2)"Cheating implies there were feeling involved"
3) "Thank god one egg fell out of me"
It's not enough for Stella to be awful to Stolas, she also had to be awful to Via, thinking of her only as a means to torment Stolas, otherwise you might feel like his afair is not only a betrayal of Stella, but his daughter too.
But fast forward a few episodes and sudenly every scene where he's in has to have "Well, he's trying his best" written somewhere on the screen
Stella doesn't need to be good in order to feel well written, what she needs for writters treat her anger as just, even if her actions are not.
I’m starting to worry that Blitzø is becoming this show’s Catra
In SPOP, Catra was a child soldier who’s trauma led her to doing some pretty terrible things, and instead of being given a chance to grow, they did 2 things:
1.) Every time she did the right thing, it blew up in her face (example: trying to trust Shadow Weaver and move on/heal with their relationship, trying to protect Entrapta from Hordak only for Entrapta to befriend the person who has been consistently abusive towards her and forced her into being a child soldier in the first place… but Catra is the bad guy for “betraying” Entrapta, apparently)
2.) Use those wrongdoings (which again, she was only toxic and self destructive because she grew up in an impossible environment and was punished by the narrative every time she tried to grow) to justify her abuse.
Why does no one talk about this?)
This show is taking a worryingly similar path with Blitzø and it frustrates me, I really hope I’m jumping the gun and we get more fairness for Blitzø in the future, but after seeing what happened to Catra I’m hesitant to get my hopes up
Edit: Also the “oh actually he’s an uwu baby” turn that they took with Stolas kind of reminds me of when SPOP did the same thing with Hordak, although tbh I do kinda like Stolas in concept. I just think his arc needs to be written harsher/more critically. Hordak was just unfixable after s1 lol
Tbh I'm fine with Catra as a character but yeah I agree on the Blitzø part
I freaking love stella now. Should've dumped this twig years ago and raised Octavia by herself.
Well technically the show hints that the Goetias are patriarchical so in that case... she might have to be forced to marry someone else again ;-;

Two questions that I feel are super important to ask about Stolas. 1) Does he know what white marks mean on Imps? 2) Does he know about the fire and the fact that Blitz lost his mother that way? I feel like his whole tone would change if he knew. Because when you LOVE someone, you let them feal safe enough to talk about their past.

Yeah. That's why I don't love Stolas on this show. He became boring. He just whines and whines, but he hasn't done anything to make anything better. He is a hypocrite in the face, does not spend time with his daughter. It's like Octavia doesn't exist for him, because he thinks only about himself all the time.
