The $5 Gold Indian Head has one of the most unique designs in United States coinage because the design and inscriptions are stamped in incuse, rather than being raised from the surface. Unlike coins with raised images, the flat surfaces are the highest points of the coin.
The obverse depicts a Native American head wearing a feathered headdress.
The reverse depicts a perched eagle with the inscriptions “E PLURIBUS UNUM” and “IN GOD WE TRUST“. Production of the half eagle was suspended during World War I and not resumed until 1929, the final year of issue.
It was designed by Bela Pratt.
The coin contains .2419 troy ounces of gold.
The George Washington 250th Anniversary Half Dollar is a commemorative coin that was issued by the United States Mint in 1982 to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the birth of George Washington. The George Washington 250th Anniversary half dollar was the first modern United States commemorative coin. The coin’s face value is $.50. It has a total mass of 12.50 grams and a diameter of 30.6 mm. The Washington half has a reeded edge and is comprised of 90% gold and 10% copper.

AI voice. Also The "Indian Head" Gold coin mentioned at .48 oz is the St. Gaudens design. It is a face value of 10, not $5. Also, It's lady liberty wearing a traditional feather head dress, not a Native American Chief. It has a beautiful ghostly look. I'm quite surprised the AI voice didn't mention the $3 "Indian Princess" coin from the mid 1800's. Those are THE most sought-after American Gold Coins. Finding one that's not been numismatically "slabbed" by NGC or PCGS isn't impossible, but some are most typically very damaged or have holes drilled in them for jewelry.
All gold bars are the same pure 100% gold there is no difference all the same element Au# 79, 79 proton's one nucleus
Sadly, the sellers only buy in with 95-96% the current price of the market if I wanna sell my 100 gram gold Bar 😢
I'll buy it at %97
Thanks for commenting. For the record, TGM offers 96-97%.
Ya man!!!
They valued gold because of their God's valued it
ancient Egyptians were not black! they Have distinctive and different features.
Stfu… if it weren’t so you wouldn’t have to constantly say it to confirm lies, all the facial features around the world could be found within Africa, educate yourself before speaking.
Why do women today wear gold? It’s a precious metal.
I always check the weight and use an earth magnet if its real it wont stick to magnet
I check weight, density, and magnetism. Tungsten is attracted by a strong magnet, gold is pushed away. Both effects are very weak but if you put the gold piece on a styrofoam float in your kitchen sink it is clearly visible.
@@Skandalos i didtnt know that i will try when house is empty as know one knows i stack pm's 🤫🤐
@@royharris7135 Do it :). You will need a really strong neodymium magnet though. I got one 5x5x2cm, it was like 40 bucks on ebay.
Thanks for the commentary and the thread.
What about silver graded bullion?
Refer to the Red Book for appropriate pricing. Otherwise the same principles apply.
A truly timeless piece of Americana!
I agree. Our best modern coin in my opinion.
Day light Robbery.
The perfect way to describe it.
Foolush. Never sell to a pawn shop and always do your homework so you dont get ripped off like this desperate m00k.
Buying and collecting "collectible coins" is fine, as long as you realize (overall) that all that stuff you think is "cool" and like to look at is not the BEST way to profit from precious metals; if that's one of your goals in buying the coins. I've collected things I thought were "cool" but were also good investments - vintage U.S. currency, Vintage U.S. Flags, guns and other "cool" things which greatly appreciated in value over the years and I sold for nice profits later, and THAT is the best of both Worlds.
Thanks for sharing your advice and experience.
Wow, he got ripped off, he should have shopped around.
Definitely should have shopped around. Thanks for watching.
I’ve seen some videos with this guy before, but never this one. I always cringed at the other videos therefor can’t watch them anymore, but this one popped up on my feed and my god it was awful to watch. I wish I was in that shop at the same time. I would’ve offered the guy 1,800-1900 immediately and walked out with him while winking at the pawn broker
It was brutal:)
Thanks for the information it really helps
Glad it was helpful!
I have a pawn shop and we pay spot for eagles and buffalos. We pay 95% on gold bars
Wow! Thanks so much for sharing that.
How much for Canadian Gold Maple? Spot also?
Just the fact the guy was rocking back and forth tells you he is in a weak position by his body language!
The seller got took with current gold prices. @Wes_Stacks , your a clown, trying to justify the price they agreed to. That doesnt take away from the idea that the seller could have actually made a couple hundred if he did indeed purchase said coin in 2010.
Its a crazy world out there, nothing surprises me any more. God Bless
I think folks don't understand gold like our grandparents did.
And another video one of his customers said that the nearest LCS was an hour away. That’s why he went through the pawnshop. In that video, Justin offered the guy the same amount that LCS offered Just saying
Thanks for sharing that.
Yeah, you can say the seller won on the price because he bought it for 1350 but using your poker analogy, this poker player left money on the table. so, I would say the seller lost, if he was desperate, he should have at least gotten 1800, should have said I'm asking 1800 you're my first stop I have 3 more places to go. That pawn guy would snap it up despite having to hold it 30 days before he can sell it. paying under 180 dollars buys him that 30 days he has to wait to turn around and make a profit on it.
Nice analysis. Thanks for sharing.
That guy got screwed 1675 he should have got spot at least. These are going for 100 over spot
Maybe stolen
There's definitely more to that story.
The Pawn guy says there's a lot of these out there, that's a bunch of BS
Byer is the winner, seller didn't do his homework
Yes, it is that simple. Thanks for watching.
Broker was on. He deployed all the techniques to stall… He had the coin turned before the gentleman left the room.. BAM!!
I agree they ripped him off
Pawn shops are the worse place to buy or sell ,take to a coin shop call before hand and ask where are you at with spot are you buying ?
Nothing like admitting it’s a fire sale right outta the gate. If I’m asked where my coin came from, “I bought it”. Period! I’m not gonna come out and tell the guy what I paid for it by telling him where. I can pay 2% over spot, and still make money on that coin. Offering $1,600 is an insult. I wouldn’t take a penny under spot. I’ve seen this broker before. I wouldn’t go within a mile of his store. The customer didn’t buy the coin. And the dealer knows it. If he bought it, he already paid a good size premium as well. So he lost somewhere around $500-$600 on this coin if he bought it.
Nice analysis. Thanks for watching.
you’re welcome.
Broker hosed him. Dishonest broker Ive seen that guys channel. This should be posted on it showing what a sleeze-ball he is.
Good advise i will watch your channel
Thank you Bill. Please share.
The Broker wins as always..
I watched and even commented on the original video. Yes the US Gold Eagle is 22K, but weighs 33.931 grams making it one full Troy ounce of gold. When dealing with precious metals it behoves the seller or buyer to “know” the current value of what they’re wanting to sell. If the buyer is offering to little take your coin and leave.
Thanks for sharing Kenneth.
Wow! 1600? 1650? 1675? This guy got ripped off but it’s suspicious about where he acquired the coin.
I agree. He was happy to get the $1650 too. Thanks for sharing.
U. S. Gov. Mint ? You’ll never get what you paid it then.
Its a pawn shop not a coin shop, pawn shops have to hold there items for 30 days before they can sell anything, spot price could plummet by then! They shook hands so they were both happy obviously but if you want to sell your coins and get top dollar call around to all your coin shops and bullion dealer!
One thing for sure, no one watching this video wins anything!
Good honest advice we need more people just like you
Thank you. Please subscribe.
This guy knew nothing about gold. This is stupid … spot only at minimum
Doublejump, that's why we made this video. This happens everyday throughout the world. Thanks for sharing.
Never go to a pawn shop. Especially this guy. Seen this pawn guy many times dude is really unfair.
gold eagles or buffalos should demand at minimum spot at any broker, maybe 2-3% less in some occasions since it’s a pawn shop , pawn dealer came up
You can only get burned if you accept the deal. If both parties agreed on price it's a legit sale
Thanks for sharing and I agree. The legitimacy of the deal is not in question because both agreed. We questioned if it was a good deal and for whom.
aku punya koin.y tapi bukan emas bahannya seperti tembaga
Think about this, gold has been around for centuries, money is relatively new..
Gold isn't really an investment, it's the overall safest way to save. You buy gold when you don't know what else to do with your money, not when you want to make money.
real things that we all know won't lose value are rare minerals, at lest not in the near future, when we master traveling through space then that could change that is the safest place to invest money you won't use
Profound thought. That for sharing.
Nice!
The pawn broker will clear about $400 on that coin He must hold it per his state laws though. He was playing w/ the coin but was really playing the seller. The seller didn't know the coin and probably wasn't the real owner. There was at least one rip off here ,but probably 2.
Coin... 💰THE AMERICAN PEOPLE HAVE NO IDEA WHAT USA HAS INSTORE FOR THEM👈
We sure don't.
