The 2015 American Liberty High Relief Gold Coin presents a modern reinterpretation of Liberty and is struck in high-relief 24-karat gold with a limited mintage of 50,000 and a $100 denomination. Minted at West Point, NY, and released on July 30, 2015, its design was influenced by the Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee and the U.S. Commission of Fine Arts, both government-appointed groups. On the obverse, Liberty is depicted standing, adorned with leaves, and holding the American flag and a torch, while the reverse displays a bald eagle in flight with an olive branch. Each coin is enclosed in a capsule and comes with its original mint-issued box and certificate of authenticity, making it a rare find with a global mintage of only 49,325 coins.
