I love taking Yarts to Yosemite. I’ve taken it from Merced and groveland and it’s awesome
The only people that can take the train are those whose time has no value. (Retired or on a chill vacation) I was supposed to go from Ann Arbor MI, to St Louis, via Chicago. It took 11 stops and almost 14 hours to Chicago. It was my absolute worst nightmare of a day (id rather fly Spirit). I rented a car and drove to St Louis after that mess.

Its about the journey not the destination. Unless i have an obligation on the other end I prefer the winding adventure you took vs the direct route. Those newer train seats look nice but i wonder if Amtrak got a deal on them thus the horrible comfortable level.

So I went in like 2015 and I had no idea until today that this was going on 😮 I was there to see the colors, dancing and singing and that’s what I got 🤷🏽♀️ nothing showed signs of propaganda and I can’t understand mandarin so they could have been saying anything and I wouldn’t have known. Seeing these comments is like wow what show was I at then?
