These videos are super interesting. I've never seen someone cover the bay area's uniqueness as extensively as you have. I love these videos and I hope you get the recognition you deserve!
As a native to the Bay, thank you for showing us around beyond the streets of SF and Oakland. There's a lot of history buried around here (pun intended), and it's great to see more than just the heart of it; we're cool too! Much love from the East Bay.
I remember always passing by the cemetery as a kid, and just seeing tombstones go on forever and being so fascinated about the place, so glad someone could make a video on this.
In the early 2000's I was part of a group playing a TTRPG based on Buffy the Vampire Slayer (but set in the Bay Area so the Big Bads were Tech Bros) and the player characters spent so many nights in Colma dusting vamps. 😆
Colma is funky place. Your sarcasm got me a few times. Thanks for these local vids. As 5th generation SF raised, and current Daly City resident, I appreciate you!
I'm pretty sure my great grandparents, great aunts and uncles, grandparents, and their friends are all buried near there who all came from China from the 1980s. I remember hearing my grandma's oldest brother talking about buying 10+ cemetery plots for a few hundred dollars back then. Now they're worth thousands... I miss them all. I still visit City Toyota in Serramonte to get my cars serviced because it gives me a chance to visit my family or friends even though I live in the East Bay.
Great video! Covered most of Colma. Although you left out Best Buy and 280 Metro Center (I know there’s not much there but thought it would have blended well with the rest of the video).
3:15 it's official, the Amazon return video is cannon!! The Adam cinematic universe is coming together very nicely :> Congrats on 10k subs!! Well deserved. Your videos always come up in convos with my coworkers & friend in the area :]
Holy Cross and Cypress Lawn hold docent-led tours, and CL also hosts a speaker series. Once I lucked out and got in CL's columbaria, which are magnificent.
We saw one of the tours go by in Holy Cross. And I thought I had a clip from inside the Columbaria, but now I'm not so sure. I know I was inside and I agree, it's really well done.
I remember as a child of the 80s (yeah I'm kind of old) seeing the Colma city limits sign and it was under 500 population. They've grown in population to be certain since then.
I also used to get my car serviced there. Funny how the sense of place erodes in big metropolitan areas like this - you drive somewhere for an errand and it doesn't feel any different from the rest of the peninsula, until you come back with intention
Have you seen the film, Colma: The Musical? It's a small 2006 film with a ton of heart (and catchy music). Totally worth the watch. I think it's available on streaming, including the free ones you can get access to from your public library.

I love puns
Your Sand Hill joke was the hardest I have laughed from a UA-cam video in years. Keep up the great work!
Hahaha thank you! I almost cut that out. Wasn't sure anyone would find that funny other than me. Glad you caught it!
@@AdamDoesNotExistI am glad you kept it.

Grew up near Colma. Only used to go there for Lucky Chances and the legend of Emperor Norton.
Fun fact that Kohls used to be a Kmart. I remember going there as a kid with my family in the 90s.
I've lived in the Bay Area practically my entire life and I've never visited Colma! Thanks for showing it!
Also congrats on 10k :))
Thank you!
Bay Area legend
Thank you!
I like your stories of the Bay Area from a vantage point of an east coaster. Great swing speed!
Hahaha. As a former east coaster myself, I appreciate that!

Thanks for teaming up on this nice little day trip!

Haha thank you! I really appreciate that. It really does mean so much!
I love this video my uncle and Grandpa are in the same cemetery Joe DiMaggio
Thank you. That Catholic Cemetery was really impressive.
been here since you had 2k subs. i know your channel is gonna blow up soon my man!
Thank you!
I have worked in Colma for 5 years I can say it is quiet but I have enjoy the driving range and lucky chances on my days off!!
It's a really nice place. I had no idea!
Also sand hill road is used as an off lot for our dealerships inventory that no longer fits on the lot. No secret but a great view at the top.
I bet! You can sort of see the top from the driving range.

Totally. I had been going to Colma for years and had absolutely no idea.

No I sure haven't. I'll check it out!
Wyatt Earp is buried in Colma's Jewish cemetery.
The density of legends in Colma is really hard to top.
All my relatives are buried in colma
You missed Lucky Chances :)
I thought about including them, but I don't think they love cameras inside.
Can we get an actual baseball for Joe, please?? Good stuff, Adam.
Thank you!
5:39 this is like 5 minutes from where I live
Where do you want to go when you retire? Colma.
You should have eaten Filipino food at the casino
I know! But the don't love cameras inside, so I opted to keep it out.
@AdamDoesNotExist why do you NOT exist? Or your avatar? Or the "original" Adam?
