The veggie patch is working wonders to think a few months back there was nothing there and now you have food in freezer for the winter. Brilliant green fingers you've got Lisa. Colin's pool and tiki bar looks very inviting, a good day out with the children for a barbecue and a dip in the pool would be a lovely treat during the summer holidays. Then laterzzs at night you and Lisa in the hot tub once children are asleep with a pint and a nice cool glass of Prosecco tonround the day off. Sheer bliss this France lark.

We are looking forward to using our DIY abilities to renovate and update a late 1940s house while living amidst the destruction that has to take place before it is refurbished. The amount of advice and experience we gain from UA-camrs like yourself is invaluable, as they have already experienced what we will have to negotiate in the near future. We especially look forward to your videos, especially about everyday life, and can see the confidence growing in you all as the time goes by. Lisa has developed her veggie skills and produced a great garden. I always remember her proudly planting beans and peas early on in the year and weaving the supports for them. Those short supports, crafted by Lisa, were a joy to see, and prompted a rare post from me to say make them taller! Every time you feature the veggies I look at the height of the crop , and remember how they survived the gales, even if the greenhouse was a failure. I went fishing today what a disaster i was using the wrong type of rod I had a sea fishing rod , the line got tangled up. and i was told by the amused locals my hook was set to high on the line and it was dragging on the bottom. , I try again when the river is also not running to fast, Thank you for the extra information , French builders turned up only to take more measurements before disappearing again , I think get everything out into the veg patch and get it pollenated... was that a sun burnt nose I saw ,

Ok a break from the football . . So I'm at Pets at Home buying a bag of dog food for my dog. While in the check-out line, a woman behind me asked if I had a dog. Why else would I be buying dog food, RIGHT??? So on impulse I told her that no, I didn't have a dog, I was starting the Dog Food Diet again, and that I probably shouldn't because I ended up in the hospital last time, but that I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in intensive care with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms. I told her that it was essentially a Perfect Diet and all you do is load your pockets with handfuls of dry food and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry. The food is nutritionally complete so it works well and I was going to try it again. (I have to mention here that practically everyone in line was now enthralled with my story.) Horrified, she asked if I ended up in intensive care because the dog food poisoned me. I told her no, I stepped off a curb to sniff a spaniel's backside and a lorry hit me. I thought the guy behind her was going to have a heart attack he was laughing so hard. Now that you've read this I have to confess, I copied it. Now make someone else laugh 😉 😂😂😂

The first bit of advice i got from french friends is to avoid saying anything to do with the word Hot. It can get you into some trouble. Also anything to do with queue or similar sounding words. It's served me well. I liked the nice comment you got by the way makes all the difference. AJ

Plumbing jobs always require several trips to the hardware store to get everything you need, either parts or tools. It is like a universal constant. Observation, the plumbing parts are quite a bit different there than it is here in the states. We would not be able to use flexible drain lines. Doesn't if good when you can have those simple fixes that you figure out on your own. Even though you were the one that caused the problem in the first place. At least you figured it out. Congrats on all your children, those are some great milestones for all of them. You almost made me spit out my drink with your praise of Jean Luc. LOLZ! Laterzz!

You do know your chicken feeder, if you turn it upside down, you can fill the bucket, screw the base back on and upturn it again, saving you having to add food everyday as it self dispenses? I hope you have sun cream on, it looks hot out there! It’s been 28-30c here in Norfolk. “Like a div” made us both laugh, such a NW expression!

Get Video, been busy again chasing contractors I am doing a total house renovation no toilet or shower no electric so living of camping batteries. Or my solar panel. Sometimes have to sleep in the car, Or camping ground, Until the house is connected fully, After almost 7 months. A weeding party sounds great to me, But you will have to dig up all the grade one stone you got then lay a plastic membrane down. Treating that with weed killer, Then lay the grade one stone back down after it has been Sifted and then treat with weed killer on top. that's the only real solution, If you need help digging let me know, The sink dont worry about it to much my drain has been affected by the rise in the water table from neighbouring properties due to each heavy storm, Then the natural water table will drop again in summer then rise more in winter, and dont forget lots of old disused wells around. Forget the weeding and go fishing. I got my fishing permit from the local garden center. Still haven't caught anything but fun chatting to everyone passing by,
