Nightwish was just decent (even if it's way, way too long), I mean it's better than the previous album, but that's not saying much, that was horrid. They still can't regain the level they showed, for instance, in Endless Forms Most Beautiful.

Slipknot makes me want to puke. Fyi.

Don’t get me wrong obituary’s cause of death is a death metal classic however I prefer slowly we rot morbid angel alters of madness another masterpiece but I do think people sometimes overlook blessed are the sick I think it’s a great album

Really pleased with your review of Winterfylleth. The album is absolutely stunning, all their records have been great but they have outdone themselves here. Just a mention that the clean vocal track you mentioned is actually Alan Averill from Primordial on guest vocals. Also the cover of Emperor's Majesty of the Night Sky on the deluxe version is spot on.

Winterfylleth is my favorite. My 2nd best black metal album of the year. 1st goes to Cistvaen. Still waiting on Yoth Iria though.

As with all Oceans of Slumber records, I encourage anyone listening to it to give it several spins before giving up on it. They typically take a bit to catch on, but when they do... it's beautiful!
