Opeth alongside rush are my 2 favourite bands, like with rush,I like all eras of opeth,& this new song grew on me a lot after a few listens. His growls are great, but I prefer his clean singing voice. Can't wait for the new album in October.
I actually love the Blind Guardian revisited, I have all their albums. They have always been in my top ten favorite bands of all time. You can't deny Hansi's incredible vocals. So emotional. They also have the most unique guitar sound unlike any other,, I love Blind Guardian and always will.
I still think Blind Guardian's definitive version of this legendary album was the 2007 remastered one, but this new version was quite interesting too tbh. Keep it metal!
So stoked for the new Opeth. Love the new single, love the artwork, and love the overall concept. This is reminding me of when Paradise Lost went back to growly vocals and became awesome again.
I've felt quite done buying the same Blind Guardian over and over again (so many remasters - that said, the 2018 NiME was golden) but I'll most likely pick up this one. I hope the bagpipes are still there!
These solo projects that have been coming out this year are nothing less than amazing. Each time I hear these albums blows me away! Thanks for another great video
Have to confess, I'm really excited about the apparent return of Opeth to heavier territories. They were one of my favourite bands in the first half of the Noughties. The "pure prog" albums are OK but losing the death metal elements meant there was less contrast in the music and made it less interesting for me. Thanks for the recommendations, Lindsay; Mourners Lament in particular sounds like something I need to check out.
I love the new Opeth song. Part of it is the growls, but also I just enjoy the immediacy of the music. That was missing a little during their prog rock era.
Hey, lady!! There's one I think you will love that I've been beating to death for the last month called Wayfarer. They are a Doom/Black/Death metal project out of Colorado, USA, singing about Wild West things. So... Black Death Rodeo? Not sure. But... It's pretty awesome. All my love, and thanks for spillin' me some beans.
As an alto with love for metal not like this new opeth singel . Like to see people who goes crazy on blind guardian and sabaton , but not my cup of tea! Black water park on a sunday or powerwolf at a festival ok ,but thats it lol. Sorry for my late and negative comment :) stay metal!

The Mantle “violent cosmic fortune”
Kayas “by the moon and the stars”
Are awesome.
Didn’t know X had a metal space
Yeah there's a pretty cool Metal Community over there

There are jewels that should never be touched. I think what Blind Guardian did was absolutely unnecessary.
That's fair enough!
