You can choose betwen watching the first episode of the season 2 (not included in the movie) and then watch the movie or see the full season and skip the movie. :)

Great video! Idk if you knew this but make sure when you finish this season to watch the Mugen Train movie before the second season, there is a season version with episodes that you could watch but that arc is originally a movie so I recommend watching the movie!👍

If you remembered in episode 23, when the kakushi was talking to Kanao, she probably flipped a coin to help her decide whether or not she should speak. Her backstory helped us understand her more. And yet people still slander on her because she doesn’t speak. Did it look like she was chosen to live the life she had before Kanae saved her?!

Yea viktor straight up died episode 1, if you pause right as the hexcore went in him you can see his spine is broken

The ending with Viktor ascending all his people and Vander/Warwick is simultaneously beautiful and haunting. The song choice really brings out the mix of emotions of the moment, and the animation is gorgeous, but knowing what Viktor’s doing puts a sense of dread into how the finale will play out. Can’t wait to see your reaction!

5:40 i actually know a few voice actors that have done english dubbing for shows like this, the dialogue heavily depends on what they can fit in the space of the mouth moving in the animation and still have it make sense and convey the same feeling or vibe. Also sometimes they will change culture references and such, so in one country they might be ok with saying "ill rip your breasts off" and in some others they REALLY DONT like that and would likely get it banned, at least we still get the original in the text underneath!

Dude, if you want to understand a little more about Hunter I advise you to rewatch the episode and pay CLOSE attention to the paintings/pictures that appear on the walls behind the characters, there is a LOT of history there if you analyze it

Sooo idk if you understood the paintings so i am gonna explain: years ago in 1600 a witch brought 2 humans into the demon realm both were witch hunters and both were brothers the first brother understood that witches aren't bad and got settled and married the witch the other brother thought they were evil and didn't agree (he was Philip or belos) he wanted to finish all the witches for once and all his brother tried to make him understand that withes aren't bad but Philip murdered his brother in cold blood the witch attacked him but he ran.After that he would create grimwalkers of his brother (which is hunter) and when they will go against his wishes he would kill them in horrible terrible ways and create a new one. Its a dark story for Disney hope you understand now :)

I believe its shown in one of the paintings in this episode but the reason of the ear thing is that belos himself cut his ears to make them look pointy

For Belos' motivations, I don't think it's really a spoiler, seeing that this episode is mostly the extent they go into it. But consider that he's a man from the 1600s, specifically the American colonies. Witch paranoia was big in Connecticut (where Luz is from) in the mid-late 1600s, plus the rest of New England. It's likely that Phillip was from that era, indoctrinated himself into believing in witches and their evil (though obviously in the case of this show, Witches are real). After finding himself in the Demon realm, he sees it as an opportunity to kill all the witches in their "home realm." But of course, he also wants to return home, so he can't just go forth with that and be out of luck. I believe he rose to power for two reasons: the first to give him better access to the tools/resources he would need to (hopefully) build a portal back to the Human realm, and the second being that he could indoctrinate all the witches of the Boiling Isles and potentially lead them into their demise a lot more smoothly.

You need to look at the paintings in the background to get the rest of the story. But for the ears specifically, one of the paintings shows Phillip/Belos carving his own human ears to look more like pointed Witch ears. It also partially explains why his ears are still small. Pointed, but small. Most witches seem to have large pointed ears.

GOD this episode was INSANE when it first came out. There were so many theories in the fandom at the time and when Hollow Mind dropped and confirmed almost all of them, everyone lost their minds. I distinctly remember watching it for the first time and screaming out loud at several points lmao.
