5:40 i actually know a few voice actors that have done english dubbing for shows like this, the dialogue heavily depends on what they can fit in the space of the mouth moving in the animation and still have it make sense and convey the same feeling or vibe. Also sometimes they will change culture references and such, so in one country they might be ok with saying "ill rip your breasts off" and in some others they REALLY DONT like that and would likely get it banned, at least we still get the original in the text underneath!
Yeah right, that's a lame excuse I've seen English dub saying a whole ass sentence when the original dub says one word and viceversa. Fitting the mouth animation you say... Xd
@Shadowcat31 the thing is that I've seen it in supposedly well dub anime such as my hero Academia, and that makes me think what kind of shit dubs there are out there that if the ones I've heard are considered "good" 🤣 Then again, you're comment is directed specifically at a scene from Inosuke, which is a character with a hidden mouth, so the dub changing his lines makes little to no sense 🤣
@ulito4739 ya know, that is fair, he is wearing a mask in that scene so no lips to dub right 😅 Its possible the specific recording place I sat in on might have been being extra careful since they had guests watching that day 🤷
No disrespect to the effort put by the VAs in the dub but I personally prefer the sub version for this anime way more. Tanjiro kinda sounds as if he had a sore throat in the dub and the intensity or the emotion of some dialogues loses a lot of impact because the way they say things doesn't really match the actual tone and intensity that is used in the sub version.
If you remembered in episode 23, when the kakushi was talking to Kanao, she probably flipped a coin to help her decide whether or not she should speak. Her backstory helped us understand her more. And yet people still slander on her because she doesn’t speak. Did it look like she was chosen to live the life she had before Kanae saved her?!
(NO SPOILER) Seems your about to finish the first season there's something you need to know, the first half of the 2nd season has two formats: a movie(Infinity train) and the regular season format. You can choose betwen watching the first episode of the season 2 (not included in the movie) and then watch the movie or see the full season and skip the movie. :)
Great video! Idk if you knew this but make sure when you finish this season to watch the Mugen Train movie before the second season, there is a season version with episodes that you could watch but that arc is originally a movie so I recommend watching the movie!👍

Yeah, the recommended order is S1, then the movie then jump to S2 episode 7.
