I ditched the windshield camera and I explain why. I also nailed Larry with a mud grenade lol. Let me know what you think of this camera position. Near the end you can see how it looks with Superview, Narrow, and Linear view settings. I think I like linear. Curious if this is a viewpoint that y'all like. Let me know in the comments. Thanks!

Greg has a trip coming up to Broken Bow so we rode some rough roads to help him prepare for it. We had plenty of training opportunity to include a flat tire lol. T7 Tips - Windscreen Replacement Screws

I lost a windscreen screw on my Tenere 700. This is the solution I came up with. I think it's actually better than the original. Plus, it's easily replaced at Lowe's if I lose another one. But, I don't think that will be an issue with the nylon nuts. Hope this helps.

I previously used my SeatoSummit shower for this purpose and it wasn't ideal. The Cacus Canteen is way better and way tougher. I won't camp without it period (with or without my bike) It also packs down well enough during the day while riding. Just pull it out at the end of the days last refuel and fill it up. Strap it down and head to camp!
I like it!! Definitely need to review the shower. When backpacking I use the bladder in my backpack as a shower.

That was an excellent advertisement for that baja tool. I watched the tire shop struggle with that tire on a tire machine and they even pinched the first tube they put in. That looked quite effortless with that tool. I am going to get one now.
The SuperView looked great in the canopy/ tree covered areas! I agree the Linear view looked the best overall for what you want to film. The Narrow seemed to chop the top off a bit much... we could experiment with all three views on the same run in different environmental settings.

looks like some nice dirt roads to ride! A lot of events cancelled in DFW area and Oklahoma because of the weather but turns out we just had a small amount of rain compared to what was forecasted. Also wish i could've made it out but my schedule didn't line up this time. I have Rally at the Rock in my sights though
Yeah, we made a decision and stuck with it. I don't regret it. We had a blast. I think I'll ride the GOAT on my own in a couple of weeks.
@@off-roaddadlife3738 A lot of these big "event" rides i'd almost want to do by myself/small group. It's fun to meet people but from my Big Bend experience the smaller the group + less traffic from other rider groups the better. Only plus side is it makes you take a certain weekend off so you're committed to go ride 🤣

Thanks for watching! The T7 has a pretty long wheel base so I feel it is stable enough for me.

You might want to relocate your camera and mount from the windshield to something more designed to handle that weight. One day the shield might just break off. Your call though. The T7 looks like a nice backroad machine. Seems kinda heavy for trails though.
Yeah, that's why the camera wasn't mounted during the class. It's fine for gravel and fire roads

That’s why I ride solo, I don’t want to hold anybody back, but at 63yrs old I don’t bounce anymore, I just go thud! So I keep my speed down nowadays 😂

when we did the toys for tots run in december, we had a small track through twin hills that was alot of fun but haven't made it back yet. probably will be taking my CRF's now that i have them.

I went there on a YZ450F once and it ate my lunch, I couldn't imagine on an ADV bike lol. Would be fun, though.
I still can't believe I went down in a little mud hole and had no issue with the single track. Granted, I was in the basic tracks. But, I was not expecting anything when I went through that mud hole lol
@off-roaddadlife3738 It definitely sneaks up you. Little mud puddles or slippery water crossings 🙄. When I went I was trying to stay on the easy stuff then somehow wound up on some black diamond I'm guessing and I didn't know if I was going to make it out of there lol

They're tubeless tires that can be run with tubes in them.

Thanks for the update. I only have about 400 miles on mine so far but I am loving these tires. I really put them to the test on road and off road. They perform awesome in almost all situations.

Was there any clearance issue's with the Tusk pannier rack? Did you have to modify anything to get the pipe and muffler to fit? (Besides cutting the exhaust hanger)
No, the rally bend is even advertised as Tusk pannier compatible. No issues.

Sure! I can't say I've ridden them in enough sand to give an opinion. They do great on gravel, dirt, and mud, though.
