I've always found all of our city council members, including Mr. Lyda to be very transparent. Most of them will meet with anyone in the city to address questions. Lyda in particular has always been very responsive to any concerns or questions that I've ever had. Can't say I've seen him really lie about anything. Even in this video, what you're saying is just spin, that no doubt some people will eat up. I understand the need for transparency, but these videos seem to be by folks who seem intent on division within our city. Possibly for political purposes?

And youre paying way to much for the drone. You can get rhem all day long for $8,000 to $9,000.... This sounds like someone is wanting the latest snd greatest toy at the tax payers expense. Completely absurd to think you can deploy the deone from home, With a 41 min battery at 10 to 15 mph how far could you get... Plus the FAA has strict rules thst the pilot MUST be within line of sight. With a spotter. Especially at night... Yall are gonna get someone hurt or cause an accident trying ro over fly this thing. Technology is not that good. Sounds like the dept wants its harleys in the air scenario. What a wate of funds that could be re directed towards your overwhelming drug problem. But hey thats just me.

How do you plan for that to happen if the officer is sitting in his living room flying to the scene which could be a couple miles away? And not only that the article that was written about this deployable from home drone says that it could be used for 200 300 miles away. Again against FAA regulation. As well as the battery is only good for 41 mins and it doesn't have video or radio signal past about 4.35 miles. Which again is still against FAA regulation. So just how effective can this drone be over the current drone when according to the FAA the pilot must be within line of sight with a spotter?

Thanks Robin! The city is proposing $237,000 for legal fees to fight the opposition to the Certificate of Need for Riverchase surgical hospital. This is in addition to millions for rent and tax abatements to support a corporate real estate enterprise--a private business-- with public money. Am I correct--or close to correct???
