You need to show what your doing instead of just taking about it.
I sold it today. Got a deposit and they will pick it up during the week. His bank needs to be open to get cash. They live out of town.
Was the 0-ring in factory fitting bad or gone.
@@martinadams6067 Gone. I hate the OEM connectors so I replaced them. Not a hard job to do. I won't have future issues. Thanks for watching.
Or u could just do away with them. Get the filter adapter and run the old school filter w/o the lines. I did it about 6/7 yrs ago and truck runs great.
@@bamabound9495 What engine? I still wanted to use the oil cooler. The connectors were easy to install.
@TheGeneralMotorsGeezer-we3dg on a 94 350 tbi. Not positive but I think it's the same for vortecs. Regardless it cleans up the engine bay and no chance of leaking. Still alot of debate if the cooler is necessary. For me it's been working great and I'm gonna do it on my 95 k2500 next with same engine.
@bamabound9495 I am going to change the filter adapter on my 96 K1500 Cheyenne and use a old school 2 quart filter. It doesn't have a oil cooler. The oil cooler may help a little bit, I wanted to keep it stock.
The fittings worked perfectly, no leaks.
Correction/info 5/8 coarse thread to 1/2 OD medal tubing. Florida Hose and Rubber Part number C2404-08-06. They are great people.
Is it still available need a phone number to call
@@ArtieGardnerjr-yk3ii yes it is. It's on Craigslist, contact me there. I don't want to put my phone number on line. Search in Panama City Fl. Thanks
Happy thanks giving just came back to ask what wax did u say u used cause it really made the paint stand out very beautiful
Meguiars NTX Generation Tech Wax 2.0 is what I used. I also like Mothers Brazilian Carnauba Cleaner Wax with a buffer. I wash it with Armor All Ultra Shine Wash and Wax with Carnauba Wax. Thanks
Oneroad on YT , puts a red liner ( can’t think of the correct name ) inside of the oem door seal for his ‘95 suburban and it solved the collapsing door seals.

That 7mm box end came in handy replacing the blower motor resistor.
My drivers side wiper arm rests a lil too high...I removed it, and it indexes/connects to the regulator in one position only. Wiper transmission shot? It does squeak during use.
@@JamesSmith-xs7sr that would be my best guess. My 98 will not park in the correct position. OBS trucks are known for it. My one owner 96 has had it fixed twice.
@@JamesSmith-xs7sr Also, you need to lube your wiper pivot points. The wiper park problem can also be fixed by replacing the wiper motor pulse board. It's behind the motor cover. Doorman makes one, part number 88136. They are on Amazon for 13.99, very good rating.
Anyone out there make lower bench seat covers? Backrest section is ok.
@@JamesSmith-xs7sr I haven't found any. You need to go to a local guy and have Him do it.
How many miles does it have on it and how much is the asking price?

A/C compressers been getting hot! If noisy, replace it before it grenades, contaminating the entire system!
I have a 98 Sierra slt, bought from customer last year, he's had it for over 20 years, well maintained/serviced. 243k miles, original eng/trans. Both work proper, paint is nice. Body/interior straight, NO rust. Bought it for $2k! Plan on keeping it...
@@JamesSmith-xs7sr You got a great deal. The seller didn't realize He could have got a lot more for it.
@TheGeneralMotorsGeezer-we3dg He liked me, (he was older retired guy) and wanted the truck to be cared for properly. He luvd it when he saw it after I put new rims & all terrain KO2's on it.
Outer door handles are FUN!!! Took me 2 hours to replace the drivers door outer handle. I am very gentle when I operate then now...
I hate doing them. GM dropped the ball, they brake alot.
Underhood mat help keep the paint on the hood from cooking? My 98 Sierra still has original paint (dark green) NO clear coat falling off! I wax the hood/roof several times each year.
That mat keeps heat from cooking the paint. Green is tough to keep the clear coat on. You are doing it right.

Hey Man U should spray some wd-40 on the rims then wipe it with a microfiber towel it makes the rims look beautiful. Nice work tho

Yep, you have a good eye.
Observing this video at the 1:24 mark you can see the left side of steering wheel and it needs to be scraped and wiped clean its years of grime .nice job getting it ready
I used WD40 with a kitchen scrub pad. It came off with a little work. I use a lot of WD40 detailing plastic.
Prayers to your Daughter, good luck with your door handle, had to fix the tumbler on my 1993 Silverado the other day. I got a 383 in one truck and a 4.3L in my other truck, really love the 4.3L engine. Liked and subbed.
@@Journeyman-Fixit thanks for watching and the sub.
Also, dump a can of Liquimoly oil system cleaner, run engine for 30 minutes (idling) & perform lof svc.
Check the pcm ground at the T-stat housing! Remove & clean very well if needed...Luv these old trucks. My 98 Sierra works/runs/shifts perfect.(256k miles) Maintenance & NO abuse is the key to longevity
@@JamesSmith-xs7sr I did that when I change the thermostat. I keep an eye on those. Thanks for watching.
ORALY IS KOOL 👍👍👍
Pioneer was always my go to but sony has taken the number one spot now when i bought an s10 with a sony xplode in it that was a really nice deck and sounded really good when i put a subwoofer and small amp just. For the sub behind it .. its all i ever do let the deck run the front and rear speakers that of course have to be of good quality and then just a small amp and i might bridge it depending on the amp and a ten inch or so sub if i cant bridge the amp then two eights or whatever i get ahold of and start jamming lol gotta have good tunes always..
How much you selling for?

Try changing out your other speed sensor. You mentioned your VSS sensor. Did you do the ISS or the oss the input or the output you got one speed sensor that goes to the transmission above the fill plug of the transfer case and then the other one should be under your or in your front driver side tire is your ABS speed sensor and that should really control those gauges that you're having problems with. In theory you know these two sensors work together so it's always a good idea to just replace them both. You like your original parts as we all do but I can get pretty expensive
I will check that. Thanks for the info and watching.
I have a 97 that my Daddy left me, I won't ever sell mine either. I'll restore and replace but keep it all stock.
That is the best way to do it. These are really good trucks. The 4L60E transmissions can be an issue if you don't take care of them. Thanks for watching.
WooHoo. I sprayed some lube in the seat hinge and it works now.
Not sure how far you are but I'm looking for a excab truck. Prefer a 3 foot or newer so 97-06.

It's always a long term project. I am doing the same thing to my other trucks. I don't get in a hurry. I just chip away at it. The mechanical is the first thing I do.
@@TheGeneralMotorsGeezer-we3dg yup I am slowly starting the rough edges and making them better. The mechanical is good with mine, and sometimes you get lucky with it.

Those injectiors are crap, they leak and give all kinds of problems, might be your cause for the misfire code
All the injectors were fine. Fuel injector cleaner fixed the issue. It sat for almost three years. That can cause issues. Not a big fan of the injection spiders. I like the 5.3 with individual injectors and coil overs. It is what it is, I still love these 5.7 vortecs. Thanks for watching.
