Thank you. The tough part for me isn’t making the plate, it’s drying it flat so it doesn’t taco up.

You mention using underglaze on your tile, but I thought one could only use underglaze on bisque? I didn't think one could use underglaze on wet clay. I am new to pottery!

Hi Jane, thanks for the tips! What do you do if you premake the first layer with underglaze and when you come to put slip over it, the underglaze detail has cracked? How do you stop that happening please ?

Hi Jane, im very new to clay - could you explain about clay shrinking and glazing.. do i understand correctly that you are not bisque firing these tumblers before applying glaze?
