This is a little vid showing the process of making a jug from a slab of clay - its to promote @potterybrunchclub - if you dont already know about this then go check it out...
@potterybrunchclub is a monthly zoom pottery workshop taught by me but with the delightful addition of a proper meal chucked in made by @beththefreerangechef...
We deliver your pottery kit and food to within 10 miles of Holt, Wiltshire, UK and then we all gather via the screen for a fun pottery workshop, normally on a Sunday morning or a Thursday evening. All the work produced is then dropped off here to me to be fired and collected about a week later.
Its always fun and you can even join us as a remote guest if you just fancy being part of it even if you are the other side of the world... Obviously you will need your own food and clay but its nice to be part of a little tribe and yu get me live teaching you! Just think about that... ❤️👍🏼🙌

Did you reinforce the spout with that little rectangle? How? And did you cut some of the jug off opposite the spout?

Hi! Can you tell me the name of the machine that you use in the beginning of the video? Thanks!

That bit at the start .you with the rolling pin beating the bejasus out of that slab.
Remind me never to mess with a potter.
I was going to make an inappropriate `70s type comment about your jugs but I`ve had second thoughts now.
I like this stuff . Maybe because I`ve worked in manufacturing and engineering all my life I enjoy the flow ,the pattern the rhythm of batch work like this .
At some point the numbers get too much and it`s just grind but when that point is who knows.
