Orz's LST Lecture (in depth, demonstration at the end)
Переглядів 17 тис.2 роки тому
edit: hey, watching this video back, I think there were a lot of things I missed and I'm not super happy with how I presented this video as a guide in this format. I will probably revisit LST eventually! With that in mind, I renamed the video to "lecture" to leave space for a more well produced guide in the future lmao Hey guys, this week, I have an in depth LST guide! I did my best to try and ...

Tetris Analysis Theory: Analyzing Intuition

Hey everyone! Today we're getting more into weeds and talking about my underlying theories of how our intuition works in tetris, as well as the implications they have on improvement and analysis. Tetris Practice Theory: Threshold Training

sorry in advance, this is essentially a powerpoint lecture Hi everyone! I'm starting up a new series where I go over some higher level (and pretty niche) theory and observations about modern tetris. Thank you for this video!
im so confused
and thanks a lot for the practice maps
the second floating tspin puzzle 1:45, you can put the j on the right most column and have it so the long part is pointing to the left, put the s on the notch (left side of the t hole) (like you would in trinity), place the z horizontally so it fills in the left side, vertical I in between the s and z (in this case sadly the t would be better but we cant waste). as an alternative double tsd set up (the second is a stsd-like, though not an actual stsd) if you want a flashier set up, though the residue is questionable its possible to recover from but probably not a good idea (you still have the well for your quad open at least)
watching the newer player bit 6 years into modern tetris and having a crisis

I nearly scaled up The Arena two times… one run I was at 449.9m, which sucks stall being my best to date.
Orz... I need.. more... T-spin content.....
link your old video you want us to check out, you goober! (thanks tho !!)
The persona 5 royal ost ✨
I tried doing this in PPT2, and I just realized something. I Still Hate PHUCKING TETRIS 🤬 but good guide nonetheless.
Finally the algorithm gives me something useful
Ah, yes. I know some of these words.

When I first started learning tspins I couldn’t understand a thing in this video, especially to look at the upcoming pieces, now I’m able to solve all the puzzles first try looking at this video now after like a year! Proud of myself
I’m getting it but the problem I have with every video is you guys explain it slowly then it’s like “oh just make an over hang” and then they start just dropping shit without doing that part slowly so we can catch up and boom there’s your set up 🤷♂️
arruinaron la vida, de mi amigo sherryhatter, el era una persona normal, pero cuando entró a este MALDITO juego, arruino su vida por completo, esto no será en vano.
how do you start finding the best controls ?
Honestly you can get pretty good with any controls, I've seen some top players with some genuienly fucked controls and they still do well, pretty much everyone however has 0ARR and a DAS between 4 and 6 frames (67-100ms) but you can feel out what's best for you. I'm not all too good at Tetra League but my sprint time is top .5% on tetrio so here's what I use: Z - 180 X - rotate CCW C - rotate CW V - hold Space - Hard drop Down arrow - Soft drop Up arrow - Hard drop Left/Right - Left/Right
@@lukewatson8848 yeah but what is your key board or controller made of , the parts and switches ect....
okay this great and all but how do i setup a t spin in the first place
I love your videos. I wish I could contribute much to the conversation. For the question of if opener bursting helps in overall speed, I believe it does. I play around 1.9 pps in tetra league consistantly, but can do pretty much all openers 2.5+ pps. This is because I know what I am going to do and don’t hesitate as much. I think opener burstimg can help someones speed because it shows there possible speed without pauses
i fell asleep
Which tetris app(or service)did you played in this video?
jstris website
What is the setup to be able to practice the way he is practicing at 5:28?
Whats the website on 7:13 i want to use the to practice
great, thanks!
I just came back from leaving for months because I just came into SS rank (Ik it’s not high), but I have other hobbies and duties Thanks for talking about these issues, but Ima just make an alt account
at 47 currently and have hit a wall with 9-0: time to finally study the craft
thank you for the tutorial!
There's this one t-spin trick I'd done accidentally once because my setup got messed up. Haven't been able to replicate it ever since. It made the T piece move diagonally, 3-4 spin almost horizontally across the whole board. Any idea what that's called??
HOLY SHIT SAYONARA WAILD HEARTS MUSIC
Ngl you sound like you’ve been practicing to have a feminine voice
should I incorporate 180 spins into my finesse
Amazing teaching and a great speaking voice. Thanks!
5:54 I won a versus game shortly after doing a fin recently, and I know of someone that used to incorporate them a lot into their gameplay
man, even ignoring tspins, doing 6-3 halfs my pps
orz orz
i like how he has the forbidden 1-pieces here 6:00
5:57 isn't it still 2 wide gap after fixing? I dont get it.
I’m not gonna lie, I don’t play Tetris that often. Not at all actually, because I never knew where to start. I just watched a few videos because my friend said he would totally beat my ass in Tetris and for a while I was motivated to prove him wrong (unsuccessfully). I’m just here to say that your voice is very pleasant to listen to
Is that Persona 4 or 5 in the background?
Bold of you to assume I’m S+
1:31 💀💀💀
the good thing about tetrio is that theres no other good option than tetra league imo.dont wanna get stomped in quikplay and random lobbys are meh so theres no other option than facing players with the same skill level lol. you gonna reach the rank you peaked again so dont care actually.
Why am I slightly disturbed by you not making a fin tsd in the first 1:15 of the video
Instructions unclear: my soft drop speed is 0F
Which version of Tetris is this?
"keeping relaxed hands". meanwhile people who post sprint handcam shorts
Why am I watching this I started 2 weeks ago lol
Another thing people should notice is that you cannot improve the game without being frustrated. Being a champion is someone who is striving to be the best and in order to become the best is to work on your weakest aspects in your gameplay. Starting to improve that set aspect would go poorly in the beginning since you're learning instead of winning. It only gets better depending on your mindset and how much effort you're willing to take. Overall, this video is a 10/10 and highly recommend to anyone who has an improving mindset.
