for myself bad stacking: -pits(I/L/J dependency) -spikes/stairs(T dependency) -cliffs(split stack) how to improve: -pattern recognition (recalling solutions to parts of board) -pattern resolution (choosing from possible solutions) -pattern composition (combining solutions, using queue)
thanks for the jstris mode. i was gunna try learning t-spins until i watched this video, played the mode and realised i am much shitter than i thought i was. really drove home how impulsive i am, rarely planning ahead and never looking at the previews so i feel like this is going to help me a lot in overcoming that.
Everyone who wants to get better at stacking should practice pcing, it helped me improve my visualization skills, get flat builds quicker and become more flexible with pieces even though thats not the main focus when doing it
orz video editing is a different style of good but I love it nonetheless also yes thank you for coaching the most important and underappreciated aspect of play
I am super new trying to get good at tetris and tried using your practice tool, but something different from the practice setting in jstris was a time limit to automatically place a block if you are taking too long to place it. I couldn't find the config setting to turn that off because I am not that fast yet lol. Any help?
New subscriber here. I know this video was a year ago. I just wanted to say I have just started back up on tetris. I wish tetris online was still around though. I use to go onto that site and play tetris.
this is a awesome guide it is really helping me improve my stacking but one trouble i have with tetris is that i dont know how to practice using piece preview effectively and improve my piece preview usage i hope i can overcome that in future.
I may make a short video on this, it’s not something you can really practice in isolation and you need to really have down some solid stacking patterns in order to use previews well but there is some stuff to talk about. definitely keep practicing that stacking and you’ll find it becoming easier once you try and focus on your previews
As a U rank tetrio player I will just say the preview will come naturaly to you as you play and that its really hard to force yourself to use preview effectively until you get pretty good at the game.
Playing nes tetris for 3 days. Best resaul 120k, 8 speed. Speed isnt big freat, but i feel that i staking wrong in many situations. And doing many stuped mistakes. And all in video i already figur out. Is there more advace teory stacking pice by pice?
My main problem with Tetris are controls. In particolar I can't surpass S1 grade in the Arika games. Blocks are so fast in that phase that sometime inputs don't respond even if I know where they should go and even if I am fast. Please help me and tell me how to grind up. Every answer will be allowed.
This is a great video, but why does the jstris map you linked hard drop the piece after some amount of time? Seems counter to the whole point of a learning mode to interrupt the player trying to find the best placement.
yeah even with these simple tutorials tetris is still too hard for me I can't even beat 1ppm bots, I may just have to accept I am stupid and give up on another game
i’m in love with you i think
I’m in love with you
AAAAAAA I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!! TETRIS IS MY CURRENT OBSESSION AND THIS IS REALLY HELPFUL, MY HEART IS RACING AND TETRIS LIVES IN MY MIND ALL DAY

Mans really be using a remix of the velvet room theme when explaining in highly explicit detail how to stack in Tetris
Had to do 2-3 search attempt before got word flat stack and right video to learn. Awesome work man!
im not a beginner but its always good to review basic things i think, also i love this (......) and the editing, i like it
Hahaha loved the pause after most players will say this is a waste of time... then going into it. Its not a waste of time for some players.
amazing guide! ill try to hit x rank now with this newfound knowledge 🤩
so glad this vid is out man, many people out there are still struggling with their games because of bad stacking, great guide!

Ah yes, the wise word, "play more"
orz video editing is a different style of good but I love it nonetheless

The practice thing on jrtris is awesome

Unrelated but the P4AU music in the background goes hard

I RECOGNIZED THE GEKKAN SHOJOU NOZAKI KUN THEME!!! I LOVE THIS ANIME!
Whats the version of the Tetris in the video?
i kept scrolling up until I realized that was on purpose

how do you have such a nice mic but the volume is still way too low
i have my volume at 200% and i still cant hear him. i swear to god if he sneezes im going to go deaf
This is a great video, but why does the jstris map you linked hard drop the piece after some amount of time? Seems counter to the whole point of a learning mode to interrupt the player trying to find the best placement.

You couldn’t, this was made 1 year ago
All i can focus on is the dirty dishes, maybe thats why i suck at this game.
good guide but omg, I raised my volume to the max while normally I use it like 15% and I still can barely hear you.
I LOVE MORRIS

up volume pls, its very quiet compared to every other video I watch
This video would be 10x better if you just spoke up a bit.
i fell asleep
it's hard to find a tetris creator that speaks loud enough or knows how to edit video. Dude have two mics on frame and you can't hear shit.
69 likes nice.
