Mormon Church SCANDAL: Is it a Pyramid Scheme?
Hey everyone! In this video, I dive into my experience as an ExMormon and unpack the troubling similarities between the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a pyramid scheme. We'll also be exploring the Ensign Peak financial scandal and how shell companies were allegedly used to launder money.
As a former LDS member, I share my insights on why some might compare the church structure to an MLM.
Join me for an honest look at these controversial topics. #ExMormon #Mormonism #EnsignPeak #MormonLeaks

    It was 1990 when they took out the blood oaths in the Temple. Before my Mission I went through it in 1981. I was shocked when we had to reenact the slashing of our throats. I felt that some how cult leader Charles Manson had taken over the ceremony. ....There was also alot more touching of private parts back than. .....I hope you are subscribed to John Dehlins Mormon Stories Podcast. He has researched the Church and put all kinds of historians on. .....Joseph Smith told multiple stories about the First Vision. He tried to join the Methodist Church and have control of a congregation. They told him to take a hike. ......People should know that the Temple Ceremony was borrowed and/or stolen from The Free Masons. Most of the early Church leaders were Free Masons. The Ceremony is weird and most people don't find it spiritually uplifting at all. It is all very secret but not sacred.

      @@logangardiner7574 since you’re so kindly asking, and you apparently couldn’t think to figure it out by yourself, the difference is one is a belief system which systematically instaurates bigoted and discriminatory agendas (amongst other things), but most importantly for this argument, and as it’s stated in the video, they preach all of this and try to push it on others (not so rarely to the point of abuse). they hold the goal to CONVERT others into the mormon lifestyle and can only perceive this one as the “correct one”. it’s a set of principles stated as incontrovertibly true. that’s what the dogma is. meanwhile, critiquing this set of principals and the culture that preaches them does not intend to convert anyone into anything. by definition, there’s no dogma. some things are objectively wrong, other’s less objectively. pointing this out (even if doing so with anger) is not bad or dogmatic. it’s human, it’s honest, and it’s fair.

    When God created trees He created them in their full adulthood. When the first trees where one day old they would have been as large as if they where 500 years old. And someone would have cut it and counted the rings and assumed it was 500 years old. They would be wrong. Adam, as a one day old, would have appeared 30 years old.

    I get it. Life was literal hell being a young man in the LDS culture here in Utah. But there is so much hope and goodness with proper support outside the church. A place to start, for those who like me need something real, is Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle. A book that I can declare has done so much more for the salvation of human lives than the Book of Mormon through LDS. inc's erroneous false traditions of the fathers.

    Five things I love about being ex-Mormon: -being married to an ex-Mormon without the struggles of a mixed-faith marriage (I wouldn't have even met him if I hadn't left) -being more able to be kind and compassionate, and to listen to people without judging them -no longer pressuring myself to perform happiness all the time (I didn't know I was doing that). Now I'm allowed to just feel neutral about stuff and express my real feelings. -I'm not obligated to have a great relationship with my parents. My parents are okay, and I like them, but when they are hurtful towards me, I'm allowed to take space or set boundaries, even if they don't like it. -I have a special interest in religion now! I'm not religious, but I love learning about people's religious beliefs, and the history of religion, and I'm allowed to learn uncomfortable things about my former religion without feeling threatened. I could talk all day about cool stuff I've learned, but a lot of it is seen as a threat to Mormonism, and it just doesn't have to be threatening to people who are willing to change their minds with new evidence, and who hold their opinions loosely.

    Speaking of money and earnings. Why in the come follow me 2024 book of mormon no mention of priestcraft in the lessons even though it is hit on very heavy in the book of mormon, that leaders are not taking money or living allowances, benefits and book money, but did labor with there own hands? It is mentioned in the seminary manual but only in relation to nehor as a separate religion. I find this very incriminating why else would they intentionally leave it out? Not to mention the hundreds of billions of dollars in Ensign peak that not one penny of the 20% tithing money that has been put in for nearly 24 years has gone to a single charitable cause?

    If you read the whole book rather than cherry picking you find that the light skinned Nephites were cursed worse than the Lamanites. The curse wasn’t about skin color it was about rebellion against God. Do you believe in the Bible? If so, you should know that the Bible contains verses that sound racist and bigoted by today's standards. Anciently, tribalism--prejudice against people not of your group--was the norm. People who worshipped idols and sacrificed children were especially reviled in the Bible just as the Lamanites were in the Book of Mormon. If the Book of Mormon had been written from the perspective of the Lamanites, they likely would have noted how ugly and evil the white people were that they destroyed. In fact, ancient murals in Mesoamerica depict light skinned people as slaves and sacrificial victims. The tribal divisions between light and dark-skinned people in the Book of Mormon are entirely consistent with the history of the Americas: Among the Aztecs “there was a law that wherever a child was born that was very white and blond, when it was five years of age it was right away sacrificed.” [Fernando de Alva Ixtlilxochitl, “Obras Historicas”] Interesting that there were blond people in pre-Columbian America just like the Book of Mormon says. Condemning the Book of Mormon because a few verses offend our modern sensibilities seems rather reactionary--especially if you believe in the Bible and know a bit of history.

    • @WhenIWasMormon
      @WhenIWasMormon 9 днів тому

      The passage is racist because the book says 1 Nephi 11:13 (Mary): "She was exceedingly fair and white." 1 Nephi 12:23 (prophecy of the Lamanites): "Became a dark, and loathsome, and a filthy people, full of idleness and all manner of abominations." 1 Nephi 13:15 (Gentiles): "They were white, and exceedingly fair and beautiful, like unto my people [Nephites] before they were slain." 2 Nephi 5:21: "A sore cursing ... as they were white, and exceedingly fair and delightsome, that they might not be enticing unto my people the Lord God did cause a skin of blackness to come upon them." 2 Nephi 30:6 (prophecy to the Lamanites if they repented): "Scales of darkness shall begin to fall ... they shall be a white and delightsome people" ("white and delightsome" was changed to "pure and delightsome" in 1981). Jacob 3:5 (Lamanites cursed): "Whom ye hate because of their filthiness and the cursing which hath come upon their skins." Should I go on? Like… listen I understand you don’t wanna accept that you’ve been fooled… but I’ll leave you with this. Correct a fool and he will hate you, correct a wise man and he will appreciate you.

    Please don't hold Joseph accountable for what Brigham and his cronies did to the church. From Brigham onward we have had thieves not prophets. Joseph was a good guy and he did translate the gold plates into the Book of Mormon. I believe it was Brigham and company that actually murdered Joseph so they could take over the church. The church was already under condemnation as taught in the D&C section 124 and I think at least one other section but I don't remember for sure. The Book of Mormon, Isaiah and Ezekiel all warn us that we are under condemnation. God said in the last days that He will do a cleansing starting with His own house first. I believe this means the Mormon church and Christians in general. If He needs to do a cleansing that means there is a lot of dirt in the church that many of us can see. I hope you haven't turned away from God as so many people do when they leave the church that has screwed them over so badly. God be with you.

Some additional parts of this are the paychecks the GA’s get, the nepotism in the leadership, the knowledge the leaders have had of their hiding funds illegally in the shell companies, the nepotism involved in the companies the church hires to build their 300 million dollar temples and malls…etc, and the 1.2 billion they have given to charity within the last 20 years compared to the 250billion they have to share…. Everyone is going to go and change the world and become a legend in their group. Stories of success will be shared. "Just follow these steps and watch the Lord work in your favor. Obedience brings power and blessings. The Lord cannot bless you unless you are obedient." All along, the missionaries pay their own way and then hope for the hospitality of the members to meet their needs. At the same time, the new recruits funnel money to the top and the organization hides everything (quite literally). THE LDS church is a deceptive MLM company at its core.

    The Scriptures testified of Joseph Smith: Isaiah 29:11-12 And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed: 12 And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.
