Mormon Church SCANDAL: Is it a Pyramid Scheme?
Hey everyone! In this video, I dive into my experience as an ExMormon and unpack the troubling similarities between the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a pyramid scheme. We'll also be exploring the Ensign Peak financial scandal and how shell companies were allegedly used to launder money.
As a former LDS member, I share my insights on why some might compare the church structure to an MLM.

Mr. Ham clearly not a scientist.
He still not did not destroy him. Bill nye did not destroy him. He just got mad that he cannot understand or accept the fact that what he is saying is a true fact.
Bil Nye is how I feel when conversing after a few drinks.
All too true. Anyone that signs up will become poorer. Not just by 10% money. They will also loss their honesty and interrogatory. Not a good staring point for spiritual development.
Nye has scientific evidence to back his case, while Ham has wishy washy religion without a single shred of evidence to back himself up.
Bill Nye has *actual scientific evidence* for his argument, while Ken Ham has nothing but *wishy washy religious BS* on his side.
Elvis Presley
😂
that man is Santan he said that or you have no faith in god Mormon is the only church is real you will be sorry if god knew you are his enemis and Mormon don't destroy family it was your fault not the mormon so i hope you and your family will be crying in front of the lord our god
This is the same Bill vs Ken debate that Bill comes to the conclusion that we are descendants of Martians. Love ya friend, God bless!
Jesus was a hoax.
Not sure where Bill gets his info from. I cannot find any tree research stating any tree over 6,000 years old or even reaching that age…
So you don't look bad in public
The future? Like a race war? Helter skelter!? 😰
The promises made by the Lord can be experienced personally even before your baptism. As a convert I know this is true. "Authority and leadership"..well we know those are unpleasant words for some, they weren't born that way it's just usually a fruit of some divisive world view. Yes "leadership" = top or oppressor which makes you the "oppressed victim" at the bottom of the bucket in need of liberation etc.. It has all been regurgitated before, even before you were born. It's clever how she doesn't show Christ who stands at the head of the Church (Eph. 5:23; Col. 1:18). Or why not speak of Heavenly Father / "the most high God" ?? That would make Russell M. Nelson a victim 😄 Jesus, thou Son of the most high God, Mark 5:7. called the Son of the Highest, Luke 1:32. glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Rom. 15:6. "He is our Father and our God; He is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ; ..He is the Father of all the inhabitants of the earth." George Q. Cannon "Jesus’s mother, Mary, was told she would bring forth 'the Son of the Highest.' And when Jesus was a young man, He told His mother that He 'must be about [His] Father’s business.' Years later, when the Savior was baptized, Heavenly Father spoke from the heavens, saying, 'This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.'" Robert D. Hales
All the money in the world can't be compared to the intended fruits of the gospel. As for tithing I've seen the Church sustain and support individuals who weren't even members, I've had neighbors who weren't even members who were getting more help and succor from the Church. If we were in need everything that was made available to them we had access to via a simple visit with the bishop. Laundry detergent food etc.. some of which was even made by the Church. None of this would be possible without tithing. Maintaining meetinghouses supporting those in need around the world missionary programs etc.. And a personal desire to do missionary work born from above is PRICELESS.
"Press on. Hold fast. Heed not." David A. Bednar I love it.

Church leadership is purposefully trying to deceive you, these are evil liars, they're abusive awful anti-human cult members who worship the devil for fun in their dungeons blah blah blah ..just some candy for your ears for all the haters 😄
"Allowing pride to enter into our hearts can cause us to mock that which is sacred; disbelieve in the spirit of prophecy and revelation; trample under our feet the commandments of God; deny the word of God; cast out, mock, and revile against the prophets." David A. Bednar Nuff said.
"The Book of Mormon is not primarily a historical record that looks to the past." Rephrased by a hater: "Bednar said the Book of Mormon is NOT a historical record" ¿¡¿¡¿ 🧐''' ???
Modest is hottest is just a cute way of saying: Showing high moral standards is attractive / beautiful.
Member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Mormon it's all the same depending on who's listening or talking.
Also your comment about "living up to those around them" is actually off. When individuals are baptized at the age of 8 most will not experience the baptism of fire until later in life. Many members within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who were born within the Faith are inspired by converts, because they understand a basic gospel truth, which is membership is not a sure sign of conversion. "Baptism by water is but half a baptism, and is good for nothing without the other half-that is, the baptism of the Holy Ghost." We are all on the same boat whether you're born in the Church or a new convert, conversion is the goal. "Conversion is the goal of all gospel learning and teaching." Russell T. Osguthorpe
"Convert" is not a label it's simply a word with a definition like every other word. Why is it necessary? Well it's usually used to communicate a reality, which is for example "I wasn't born with this religious faith or these beliefs etc.. or I'm a new member / believer." In other words "I'm a convert." It's simply a word that is used throughout the world to shed light on a reality. Reality See also: fact; truth What is my truth? Well I'm a first generation member, someone who was baptized as an adult and turned away from my previous religious beliefs and church etc.. It was a positive change that has a "label" ..we simply use the word convert. I'm a convert.
Why don’t you just stop Bednat? The look on your face looks deceptive. Like you’re playing mental gymnastics. If you were an honest man you d declare the whole thing a fraud. Be humble. We were all deceived. Just own it
No they are trying to flip the script. This is what a narcissist does when they’ve been caught. They flip it all upside down.
Bill Nye is on the Losing team? Bill Nye can' Explains Creation, but in Denied of a living God?
I am sorry you went through such a hard experience, but “the Church” did NOT destroy your marriage cariño. Your actions and choices did. It sounds like the way you & your family handled it, perhaps pride, anger, shame, etc., led to the breaking of your marriage. I am a convert from Mexico raised in an ULTRA Catholic home. When the scriptures and the Lord are your guide, breaking a commandment such as the law of chastity is a serious offense- Catholic, LDS, Seventh Dat Adventist, Jehovah Witness, we ALL believe in keeping the commandments as Jesus Christ taught. There is SAFETY in keeping the commandments. Safety from suffering, pain, sorrow and many other things. Idk how mature your testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ was at the time but I do know you did not go from seminary to getting pg. You made a choice to do certain things, watch certain movies, read certain books, date & participate in heavy kissing, touching or whatever BEFORE you broke the law of chastity. The commandments are for OUR SAFETY. They are like wearing a seatbelt, or obeying the stop signs or speed limit; all these “laws” keep us safe. No, you cannot partake of the sacrament (in Catholicism the Eucharist) until you go through a proper period of REPENTANCE. The first thing you MUST do is 1. RECOGNIZE you have broken a commandment, 2. You must feel REMORSE that you have broken that commandment (which at baptism you Covenanted WITH JESUS CHRIST to not break), 3. Then You must RESTITUTE to the best you can. Some things such as killing you cannot restitute, but for many you can. 4. You must seek the Lord and REPENT through prayer, fasting, reading the scriptures, etc., it’s not automatic or a one minute prayer one time. Upon your faithfulness you will know the Lord has FORGIVEN you. I have worked with many, many young women LDS & non-LDS who have gotten pg out of wedlock (I am an RN). Many have wonderful experiences, some do not. Unfortunately, the children carry the burden, doesn’t matter if they were adopted by wonderful parents or raised by a single parent, psychologically it affects them and puts them at risk for other issues in life such as school performance. The bottom line is the Savior always has His hands outstretched toward you waiting for your return and through His Atonement every wrong can be forgiven and every suffering erased. I know and believe this to be true, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen. Besos ❤
In 1990, I married my second husband, both of us LDS and since I could no longer have children, and we wanted a child together, we went to the church. However, since I had four little ones from my first marriage, they refused to allow us to adopt through them. It was pretty devastating. I never expected my first Temple marriage to end, after 4 children and in order to try and save that marriage, I had my tubes tied, as my first husband didn't want more children and i wanted more. I had complications a year after that surgery and could no longer have babies. 35 years later, I still hurt, knowing my LDS faith refused to allow us to grow our family.
Oh so it’s just a book of fables and life lessons…. Why not just say that from the beginning and why didn’t Joe say anything about that? lol what a joke 🤡
Its not scripture!!
The church, always in a constant pivot to try to match up to reality in some way. They've conned so many people and it's caused so much conflict where I live. Such an abusive, awful, anti-human, anti-life culture.
What about Jesus' visits?
Jesus never visited the America's like written in the fictional work of the Book of Mormon. Elder Bednar just confirmed what humanity has known scientifically for ages. He's just informing the ignorant audience of religious people who've been brainwashed into believing it to be a historically accurate document. When you try to explain to a Mormon that Native Americans are not in fact Lamanites, and that they are actually a group of humans from Asia that traveled across the Bering land bridge over 10,000 years ago, it tends to make them frustrated and angry still, because of their colossal ignorance created by church leaders.
"Primarily". Listen before posting
Ew. Lol 😂 I posted after listening. They’re setting up the frame work so they can back peddle on the legitimacy of the facts in the book. Why? I’m glad you asked. Because there is NO EVIDENCE to support the claim that anything that’s in that book ever took place Also before you post remember you’re not my priesthood holder. And I’m not your sister. So check your tone there Mr Priesthood
@@WhenIWasMormon Ha ha ha ha! Watch my tone. Ha ha ha ha! Funny reply. Mr Priesthood is also a funny name to call out. Best of luck fighting against all that "evidence" continually coming forth the rest of your life. Watch WARD RADIO. It is fun and smashes the "no evidence" effort. I will watch my tone typing from now on. 🤣
If I had a history like the mormon church does, I'd focus on looking to the future and not the past as well. 😂
Historical accuracy of the Book of Mormon? Don worry abou it - Elder Bednar
After all the physical evidence of cities right where described? All the physical evidence? Have you done any research or are you just speaking out of hate? Who is the father if hate?
@@DavidM442Research shows that the Book of Mormon and its stories of inhabitants on the American continent are not plausible. ‘The largest of the churches embracing the Book of Mormon-the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church)-has not endorsed an official position for the geographical setting the Book of Mormon, although some of its leaders have spoken of various possible locations over the years. There have also been multiple attempts to identify the several civilizations in the Book of Mormon, which are dated in the text as living from 2500 BC to 400 AD, but no consensus has ever been reached. Mainstream scholars and archeologists do not accept the proposed locations as plausible. For example, in a 1998 letter to the Institute for Religious Research, the National Geographic Society stated that "Archaeologists and other scholars have long probed the hemisphere's past and the society does not know of anything found so far that has substantiated the Book of Mormon."[1]’
@@DavidM442 I have done some research. I love you and wish you well
Looks to the future???
Cult.
Apparently you don't understand how a book of prophesy works
If you mean the prophecy that has never come true ever? Yeah I understand how it works lol
I thought the Book of mormon was a new testament of Jesus ? Is this not supposed to be a cornerstone of the faith?
@WhenIWasMormon Alma 7:10...
@justinb1261 are you saying that in Alma 7:10, a book written in the 19th century mentions something that already happened and was borrowed from the Bible is somehow equal to prophecy?
@jfintex43 lol you must not have read it. Go check it out then you will get the joke
He's just stating the church is looking forward to the future lol.
By saying that the future of the church won’t view the Book of Mormon as a historical document?
@WhenIWasMormon Is the Constitution of the United States still a historical document? That was created and written in the past, for the past formation of our country... but... it's also for the entire foundation and future of our country. We still use it as a base for everything we're about now, do we not. Same with the New Testament, it was put together to update with today's standards of times etc.
@joshuagrider9765 Prior to today, the "church" always taught that the Book of Mormon was a historically account of Jesus christ, much like the bible is for Christians. It is of great importance that the historical authentication is being renounced. Hopefully the other Heretical teachings will follow and a lapstand will be lit.
Can’t wait for Jesus to come again and you’ll regret you left
You can go on walks on Sunday as a moromon
I’m Mormon and why can’t you just not talk about it
Well because that isn’t being transparent. And that’s what’s wrong with all hierarchy
Not LDS, but can't imagine someone committing violence because of this talk. Those who are violent have plenty of material to justify violence in their minds already. See Under the Banner of Heaven.
This talk directly influenced this violence against the LGBTQ community.
@@WhenIWasMormon i didn't see the entire title. I'll look up the story.
i would prefer a necklace like christians wear a cross
So is that supposed to be modern Black people have cursed black skin???
It says “cursed with a skin of blackness” I take that at face value
Watch their actual debate, Bill Nye gets destroyed
By who?? Ken Ham? Ken Ham has no evidence to support the claim that god exists. Why? because there is no evidence. I’ve seen the debate and no. Being able to say “I don’t know” is way more powerful than “I know it exists because someone or something like a book says so”
There is no evidence to claim that God does not exist. Faith is the belief in the unseen. You have faith everyday in your life as an atheist.@WhenIWasMormon
That's good
What’s the song from the beginning?
Everyone in the Bible was a colored
