If you're on PC and you have decent or above average specs and a Nexus Mods account, get the collection VeryLastKisses's New New Vegas. It's close to 700 mods, but it honestly feels like the New Vegas everyone always wished the vanilla game was. Very well maintained and put together. 100% lore-friendly as well.

Idk if you have heard of Fallout Van Buren or not. It was supposed to be Fallout 3 if Interplay made another one. It was going to introduce the Enclave spaceship and explain vaultec was running simulations for the enclave to put humanity into space. Zeta is the closest we get to that just because space. But it leaves the possibility. And General Zeta is an event boss in F76. And having that context makes this way more interesting. I'd personally be looking for an enclave Easter egg on the ship or something from van buren. I cant think of a reason why else they would be in space. But isn't this also one of the first games you can launch a nuke in? That's pretty epic. I'd say you had a rather negative conotation surrounding this story and that is disappointing.

I imagine if this was real you would be able to find a lot of posts (and possibly news articles) about people being upset after buying a box without a disc.

I mean am I crazy? I have the physical verison of both fallout 3 and new vegas GOTY edition and they both come with a physical disc that you download the dlc from the disc not from the store lol.

Wanna say thank you for this. Because I got this game Christmas of 2010 and I wrote this off as busted broken game because this details my personal experience. I just now doing my first legit playthrough because I spend my entire adult life trying to explain that this game sucks and why I like Fallout 3 better. Because I actually play the game. I am now recently doing my real first real run 14 years later and I felt insane that yes I have experienced some bugs ( That mostly my fault for playing it vanilla ) but it never got anything game breaking or serious. But now I get to experienced the game that everyone I talked to play. And it is such a shame that bugs made me note this game filled with personality as nothing but garbage.

It's almost been 10 years since we got an actual Fallout game.

I bought it back in the day at best buy when I was a kid still have the case and card that was is in it but I’ve already redeemed it

I got fucked both console ways lmao, I got FNV on sale luckily and got super deep in, had a good and evil run and I remember it all going well but never getting to do absolutely everything. Finished OWB but that despawned my companions who I gave all my good gear too which disheartened me so bad I never played that version again. Got the GOTY version on PS3 unaware of the memory leaks, did absolutely everything in the Mojave, everything in OWB, and by then it was memory leaking out its eyes and ran at 5fps max, my best run was cooked and I never got to do the other DLC till years later.

Honestly, it likely exists -- and the code card was the only contents. It COULD be real -- but the UPC not popping up would deem it not very credible -- or it was cancelled as a pre-run sample and the box would be empty. Imho -- the card with the code likely was BLANK and the box+upc were real and not registered for sale as they changed their mind. Mockup test runs like this were pretty common back in the day. But.... it likely was just a box with a code.

people have probably said it but the card was probably included in a pre-existing game case, similar to how flalout 4 goty came with a card for fallout 3

I’ve got the case knocking around somewhere. Worked at GameStop during that time and preordered it. Weirded out when it was just a card inside.

I dont hate or Blame Obsidian for how this game came out. They had a limited time to make the game, They had no experience with the engine, and they had to work thru the engine WHICH was already a cluster of destruction. In my opinion, I think they did very well. After all its by far my favorite Fallout of all time

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Bethesda promise to be in charge of QA? So it's MILDLY their fault that the game launched like this.
