Yeah that reverse bleed would work better! The bottle trigger worked well but should have done reverse bleed!

@@marek19922209 It's a way more comfy bike in my opinion than an 790/890/990 - you can still do a lot of the same riding on those as you can on this, but its more upright and would be more comfortable on a long day out. Motorways are all about the same with the 890,990 and 890SMT

@@SamVBikes when I see what the ECU modification has brought. I would also like to do this modification on my KTM 1290 SA 22. only BHP UK are very far away. I'm from Czech Republic :-). How satisfied are you with the adjustment after such a long time?

The difference remapping after each stage isn't as noticeable as its an incremental change, but it's definitely a huge improvement. If you did the airbox, exhaust and remap all together, the bike would feel like a completely different machine! I only noticed how much faster and smoother mine was when I rode a stock one more recently! I'm super happy with it!

@@SamVBikes I don't want to do major modifications to the airbox. I have the bike in stock, only the Arrow exhaust. I just want to uninstall DB killer and I would like to allow it to modify the map. currently they are adjusting the brakes, I am changing to Stylema brakes + Brembo rcs pump

The airbox isn't a huge modification, just takes a little time to do. It's no more work than changing the brake master cylinder and calipers. You don't need a remap just fitting the exhaust but it makes a difference. You can remap at any stage, but the more you do to the bike for air flow, the better the response from the remap

Thank you! Not sure as standard but I was recommended to use the brake/clutch fluid as it's what's used in the dealer. Seemed to be the suggestion on most forums too

Dot5.1 or Dot4 only for brake and clutch both.

Reliability and efficiency is the bigger selling points, plus it's much cheaper than stock replacement. The clutch feel seems better and definitely smoother, but I can't guarantee that's not just my experience as mines been on it's way out for a few months

I don't think any of their crash bars work with other brands including original manufacturers. They spent a lot of time trying to develop the crash bars for my KTM to work with the KTM lowers and couldn't get the KTM ones to perform to their standard in the crash testing. The stock bars are always the weak point

DOT 5.1 is silicon based, correct? It is not compatible with DOT 4 AT ALL!! You'd better do some research on that. And DOT 5 fluids do not absorb water so any water in the system will settle to the bottom of any parts.

@@gregorytubbs3444 You like to write I see. Dot 5 and dot 5.1 are not the same. DOT 4 and 5.1 are both glycol-based brake fluids they are compatible with each other. KTM writes compatibility on their reservuars and my 2021 1290 says dot4 or dot 5.1 :)

@@SamVBikes The guys at BHPUK were really helpful trying to make it work. Apparently, the manufacturer of the unit thinks it´s the bike. They advised to disconnect "all other units including the dashboard" and then try again. But i am no expert in this and i won´t risk messing anything up. Too bad. I was looking forward to less vibrations....but there R 1300 ways to achieve that😁

@@SamVBikes that’s impressive stats for anyone. I wouldn’t get rid of the R1250RS but didn’t like the new GS. The summer savings are tempting but after you spec it up it’s a big price to justifiably fly two bikes. Cheers for the reply. I need to get out on one 👍🏻

The 1250RS is a fantastic bit of kit so I'm not surprised you're struggling to justify the swap even without the money considered. The mods I've done to it definitely makes it even better so now a stock one feels tame haha

You won't be able to assign it that in depth but you could set the menu option to it so it's one click, into the menu then dial up and down. You'll be able to flat foot it I reckon. I'm nearly there and only 5ft9, 31 inch inseam
