Point 1... "humans cannot receive proskyneo"? There's levels of proskyneo... you know this better than me!! Jesus speaking here: Rev3:9 "Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship (proskynēsousin- from Young's 4352. proskuneó) before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee." Are you saying Jesus is promoting idolatry? Or is proskyneo relative, from bowing down in honor- right through to worship...?

'O λόγος: a common Gk. word used in a quasitechnical sense as a title of Christ in the Johannine writings. It carries a large number of different meanings: its basic translation is 'word', i.e. meaningful utterance, whence develop its many senses 'statement, declaration, discourse, subject-matter, doctrine, affair' and, by another development, 'reason, cause, sake, respect'. As a grammatical term it means a finite sentence, in logic a factual statement, definition, or judgment, in rhetoric a correctly constructed piece of oratory. (Logos Spermatikos, 'seminal Word', which, like seed, gives form to unformed matter): man is made in accordance with the same principle, and is himself said to possess Logos, both inwardly (Logos Endiathetos, reason) and expressed in speech (Logos Prophorikos). The term is also used as the patter~ or norm of man whereby he may live 'according to Nature'.

@@GreekForAll Thanks for your question..... The pronoun "he" clarifies who the word is, ie---"the LORD", 1 King 19:9... Just as in John 1:1-3 the "Word" is not a direct person, but it exudes from "God" and is God's nature in Word form....The term God in John 1:1-3 is the same as God in Genesis 1:1.... Hebrews 11:3 indicates that all of creation was created by the word; Job 38 coincides with this.... Genesis 1:1 indicates that all three members of the Godhead was intimate with creation by the word... God spoke all things into existence from nothing.... Jesus Christ is the Word of God due to him speaking the total will of the Father as that member of the Godhead fulfilling the role as the Son.....Genesis 3:15 is the conception of Psalms 2:7.... Therefore, due to the members of the Godhead being equal in all respects, they could have been able to switch roles... The Father could have fulfilled the role as the Son and the Son could have fulfilled the role as the Father.... Hence, the Word can be understood as a person in John 1:1-3 and 1 kings 19:9..... You don't have a clue of what you're talking about!! There is only one God and one faith - not many as you subscribe to. Eph 1:5 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all [persons], who is over all and through all and in all. READ BELOW ↓ Please read John 3:16 for some insights on what's going on! It's truly shocking of how many people will try to prove that God is a liar! You'll never be able to prove that God is a liar, no matter how many videos you post! Proverbs 30:5-6 Every word of God proves true. He is a shield to all who come to him for protection. Do not add to his words, or he may rebuke you and expose you as a liar. The scripture above means that you will never be able to prove that John 3:16 is a lie. The wicked don't have a relationship with God because they have rejected Jesus' New Commandments and The Lord's Prayer (they only worship the son, sports and holidays). And therefore, will not receive everlasting life. Jesus tells us to specifically pray direct to God the Father. He does not tell us to pray direct to Himself and the Holy Spirit. And he tells us to worship only Jehovah God, not Himself and the Holy Spirit. Also, the three scriptures below put an end to the trinity nonsense! Matthew 6:9 PRAY “Pray, then, in this way: ‘Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. Matthew 4:10 WORSHIP Then Jesus said to him: “Go away, Satan! For it is written, ‘It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service." Eph 1:5 ONE GOD 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all [persons], who is over all and through all and in all. - ONLY ONE FAITH - IT'S NOT ORGANIZED RELIGION only a few find their way READ BELOW ↓ If you hate God's name and his people, it means that you are wicked!!!! "You are my witnesses," is the utterance of Jehovah, even my servant whom I have chosen. There are no other witnesses other than Jehovah's Witnesses (who are called by his name). Isaiah 42:8 I am Jehovah. That is my name. Isaiah 43:7 Everyone who is called by my name, And whom I created for my own glory, Whom I have formed and made. Isaiah 43:10 "You are my witnesses," is the utterance of Jehovah, even my servant whom I have chosen. - This scripture is very clear that the witnesses and Jesus Christ, both belong to Jehovah God. Isaiah 43:11 I am Jehovah, and besides me there is no savior. Isaiah 43:12 So you are my witnesses,” declares Jehovah, “and I am God. HGP. Iotacism in spelling errors today, and all the way back to the 5th century B.C.E. found in inscriptional evidence.

If they learn Erasmian pronunciation they will understand people coming out of seminary, not native Greek speaking peoples. They also will not understand why the inscriptional evidence of Greek manuscripts, and monuments, etc., have iotacism spelling errors that are the same today as they are all the way back to the 6th century B.C.E. And the alphabet is the same since 403 B.C.E. when it was ratified by Archon Euclides. Plato comments on the fact of η, and ει, being used for ι. Erasmian pronunciation is a 16th century manufactured pronunciation from 1528.

@@Rightlydividing-wx1xb most users of Erasmian pronunciation aware that it may not be the most accurate. However, I wouldn’t claim that the Modern is the closest to what Plato or Alexander the Great spoke. English of 1000AD is almost unrecognizable to modern ear. As for the iotacisms, it is more complex than often presented. I discuss it a little in my video “True Koine Greek pronunciation - does it exist?” Not every similar sound, sounded the same as I provide several examples. I appreciate your note, I will explore some points you mentioned. Thanks.

Indeed. (Matthew 4:9, 10) And he said to him: “All these things I will give you if you fall down and do an act of worship to me.” 10 Then Jesus said to him: “Go away, Satan! For it is written: ‘It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service.’” The one Jesus worshipped is the same one we are to worship.

Great lesson in the greek language. I guess it is easier for non-greeks to use the erasmian pronunciation. However myself as a greek I hardly understand somebody speaking greek using the erasmian pronunciation. In my humble opinion I believe it would be easier for non-greek speaking people to just learn a couple of rules such as the the sound of e and the diphthongs. Greeks developed the diphthongs to have one sound when two vowels are put together such as ou, ei, ai ete. Neverthenless I am very impressed to hear you talk greek in interpreting the bible. God bless you and keep up the great work you are doing. Love your videos. BTW my preferred pronunciation is modern greek.

@@jasonnaftis3766 thanks for your input. Much appreciated. The Erasmian pronunciation is so massive in the scholarly academic environment that even if one decides to switch to the modern, he would cause some “inconvenience” as many will have difficulties to understand him. So I personally do not think this would change any time soon.

Great teaching ! Many key Greek words in the new testament do not mean the same as our english words. For instance: The Greek word for recieve pronounced (lambano) means " to take hold of) this means that it requires action on our part to take possession of what God offers us, from salvation to healing. Secondly, many times in scripture when we read that we must believe "in" or "on" Jesus Christ in order to be saved the greek word in both instances is ( eis) which means into, again requiring action on our part. A good example of this is in Acts ch.19. When the disciples answered Pauls' question on how they were baptized they told him " Johns' baptism." Paul replied," John said to believe in (eis) the one to come after him, Christ Jesus". They didn't confess that they believed, the Word says that they immediately went down to the water so Paul could baptize them in the name of Jesus Christ. They believed by what they did.
