I have seen ou in that form in old mosaics that have been discovered in archaeological digs. It puzzled me at first, too. But after I figured out what was going on, it all made sense. We ourselves come up with our own abbreviations to save space, too, so they were just like we are in that regard.
I need to think about the favorite Greek text. Never though about it. I really like 1Jn 1:9 in any language. It has been my favorite for the past several years.
Very helpful by defining those abbreviations. Some of the scribal abbreviations found in old Greek manuscripts are very tricky to figure out, even if you have a chart of them. Thanks!😊📖
Thanks Stan... your video and your website are very informative... i have downloaded your apps as well... Im learning a lot from you... you are an absolute help to my studies 🤗🤗🤗
Stan, do you have a video on how to add (and use) the Greek modules to the Accordance program? I'm surprised that I'd never heard of Accordance before you recommended it!
I do not have any tutorials on Accordance yet. I plan to produce a series but a little later. I know it could be intimidating at first. Try to search on you tube, there should be some tutorials. As far as I remember, it's not difficult. After a purchase of a specific book/module you get a download link. After downloading it, you go to your library and it should be there. Same on iOS, go to your library and upload new purchases - so the app syncs your tablet with your accordance account.
hi Stan, how do i get into your video lessons? i am second year in greek, i write my final in July, i am exellent with grammer, but battle with translations. my studies are from the book of Mounce, your videos has helped me alot. please can you help me? Emil South Africa
Hi Emil, if you are good with Greek grammar, then all you need is more translation practice. I assume your vocabulary is good (at least all words 50+ times in the NT). My course is sold at www.courses.greekforall.com Although you will find much information familiar, my methodology is different from Mounce's. Perhaps you may not need my course (especially with the full price), so I could help you to improve your translation skills in one-on-one tutoring. I will assess your ability first, then I'll come up with some exercises to address your weak areas. Message me on FB: facebook.com/greekforall or email me. Find my email on my website: greekforall.com
I wish I would have seen this a month ago I had to read the icons so hard b4 I realized they stack upsilon on top of omicron lol and Xi is extremely different
Weldone. I like to watch a video about the CROSS. STAVROS means a cross or a torture stake or a shape of Y or a shape of X or these every things? I think i can get the answer from you. But i believe that Jesus died on a cross. GOD BLESS YOU ⚘⚘
Thanks for sharing Stan 🙂👍🏾

Yeah, we all have our first times in everything! Thanks for the comment.

So interesting! I love your videos
Glad you like them!
What is the actual Bible reference b/c Ps. 49:3 says this "My mouth shall speak wisdom; the meditation of my heart shall be understanding."
It is Psalm 50:3 in English Bibles. The book of Psalms shifts numbers by one in the Septuagint.
@@GreekForAll Thx!
Yeah I learned something new myself. At first I wondered if it was Coptic.
We are all learning every day! I'm glad the video was useful.
