- Beautiful brass Abloy 656 picked and gutted. Quite an unusual lock, with a removable cartridge core and more (& thinner) discs than a regular Abloy profile. Slightly harder and definitely more time consuming than a regular profile core, takes longer to develop the feedback and it's well enough made that the binding order can't be forced, so lots of back and forth to get this picked.

Wow very cool lock!😀
Love the cassette! No kidding there is a lot going on in there!!!😅
Great picking!!!

Thanks Chris. It does have a distinct binding order so lots of back and forth to start getting decent feedback.
The cassette is cool for sure but possibly a bit vulnerable - I think it would be quite easy to drill for the side bar
Very cool lock. I agree that they look like the profile cam locks. Appears to be the same disc thickness and same way to get to the cartridge. Awesome find, except now i want one. 😂😅😎🔐
It's very cool. I can't actually find a record of anyone having picked one before either. This one came from OctaviusJones, he may have more!
Are the profile cam discs thinner then? Don't have a profile cam so this is new info to me, but they are definitely quite a bit thinner than a typical profile padlock disc
@@crispix I have an Abloy profile cam lock (video’d) & the discs are the same thickness as the padlock disks, but my cam lock is a shorter one, I think it has 8 discs (going by memory) I think I show pictures of the discs at the end of the video.
Edit, I just checked & it has 7 discs, I haven’t actually measured each disc but I’m sure they are the same, I’m basing that on the fact that when I picked it I was using the 2mm spacing on the silver bullet, unless they use thicker spacers to make up the difference.
@@BrettSucks good info, thanks Brett
@@crispix I just checked and the discs on my cam locks are 1mm thick and the spacers are measuring .5mm
@@LockChuck very interesting. Does it have a common plate profile with the mil spec? I wonder if the cam is part of a master system. Or maybe there are just variations whatever.
I have this exact lock but I have since lost the keys 🤦🏼♂️. Where can I track down keys for it?
I think that might be a bit of a struggle. Best bet is probably to pick it and decode, then make a new one yourself from scratch, either 3d printed or filed from tube
