Mobile homes here in Texas are 60k 4 bed 2 bath 5k lot 3000 sq ft

My aunt had her double wide for over 40+ years & trust her house is a way better built than my aunt (her younger sister) stick built house & the stick built house is at least about 17 years & that house has issues since it was built from the grown up, from the plumbing to the septic to everything you can think of. I have several family members who have manufactured houses who are all satisfied & have several family members who have newer stick built houses who are very upset because their house that they built from ground up is falling apart more so & faster than the manufactured houses in the family. One of my cousins had to get get her newly LVP Flooring repaired twice since she moved into her house. One of my other cousins sold their big stick built & bought a manufactured house & they are much happier with their decision. I grew up in NY so I know when I retire the manufactured route is going to be the route that I take, I already have land that I inherited & it already electricity wired & plumbing ready to sit my house on....

I was going to add that comment like your ground fault interrupters in the bathroom being looped to the other bathroom. I’m in a $600,000 plus house and mine are looped

I live in the south eastern part of the province of Alberta in the country of Canada. I spoke with several people who worked in the building of manufacturing homes in Alberta. The people that worked on in the building of those M.F. told me to never buy a Manufactured Home because of the terrible construction in every aspect. Whether it be the plumbing and especially the electrical work that was done could easy start on fire. I would definitely have a Home Inspection done before buying most any home I'd consider buying. I truly hope and pray for that not to be the same for you people.

Next time can break it down n mark shingles every 4 inches or 4 n half inches to even them out better. Also dnt need to caulk wall if stepped flashed. Actually should leave shingle about 1/4 away from wall for water to run. Shingles will wick water some n if wall is caulked water will build. Great work just advice from a roofer to help out.

Good video. Something I see wrong a lot on roofing shingles is the starter. How you are supposed to use 3 tabs as starters is install them so the tabs overhang the drip edge, so the tar strip is right at the edge of the roof, then cut off the tabs. This puts the tar bond right at the edge to hold down the field shingles. Otherwise, you're leaving 5-6" of wind lift area right at the edge which can and will lead to wind damage to the roof. Also, and this is just nit-picky, the drip edge is supposed to go UNDER the felt at the eaves and over the felt on the rakes. Again, this has to do with wind driven rain: at the rakes, if wind pushed rain under the shingles, it'll go over the drip, onto the felt and run down, and if the felt is over the drip at the eaves, it runs off the top of the drip and out, never getting to the sheathing. Then the argument that wind could drive water under the shingles and felt at the eaves, well, if the starter is nailed down correctly, and the shingles are overhanging 1", then the wind would have to overcome gravity to get it under there, but that could be mitigated by tarring down the drip to the sheathing before the felt. All that to say, that is SUPER overkill for a shed. LOL But the wind lift at the eaves and rakes from the starter tar bond not being at the edge still holds. Good job overall, and again, the way you roofed it is the way most carpenters do, but just like everything, there is a better way that doesn't take too much more effort to do, if you know to do it. I have a problem with my shingle roof. I made an addition to my house and put the new shingles on it and butted it against the old shingles. I know this isn't the right way to do it but it was a nail over roof on the old roof and wasn't sure how to tie the two together. So I made a seam unfortunately. I couldn't afford a new roof so I left it when I installed the new edition I put a new roof on that part. I'm concerned that it will leak under the seam. It's 100-year-old house and I just don't want it to leak

Main reason we are looking is because house prices have sky rocketed the last few years. We are really trying to keep our number under or around 200,000. for everything. Just bought a 2024 double wide manufacturer home I paid over 150 thousand dollars for this house extremely pissed was delivered wrong craftsmen ship is tarable was lied to from the day I ordered whole home completed wrong ceiling falling in no gfi plugs doors in home where installed wrong I have had 2 water line brake never painted any walls just primmered shower leaks worped floors extremely pissed think about sueing or turn into lemon law foundation was done wrong dealer I bought from told me with way more complaints then I listed told me o well ur in a contract deal with it walls above doors are cracked
