Thanks to you and the family there Harald! You planted the permaculture seed and it grew- a testament to your passion when you hosted us. I still think back fondly to our time at your farm. Wishing you all the best. No worries about the vegan warrior either. All views are welcome, and we managed to rein in the crazy and get into productive conversations.

It grows just not as well as in the temperate climates. Tithonia is a much bigger species with a different niche, but certainly a good choice.

Very nice. I think in addition to the first flush diverter you can also use the first tank to catch the early water by filling from the top and connect to the system at the top. This will make the system has even cleaner water.

I live in a sub tropical region of the lower TX gulf coast. I’m working on applying permaculture principles to my 1/2 acre yard and growing lots of food. I have many similar fruiting plants in my yard. This is helpful ( I am still learning!) and I can’t wait to hear more from your channel. Thanks!

Loved the compost source!!! That material, would it be ok to use in a USDA certified organic farm? Or only in a PR Department of Agriculture certified one (and perhaps not even then)? It's easy to find the USDA guidelines for certification (only 9 entities here in PR as of today that I could get from the database) but I can't find anything online for the PRDofAG - only that it seems some 670 places are locally certified. I'm sure that plenty of "ay benditos" and "dale un break" were thrown around in that 670 number (as so often, unfortunately, is the case here in PR with rule following...).
