Thanks for the comment, I agree, I thinks its something I'll try again but would probably try sanding it down more and then age it a little like you say, with a wash.

@@kwest9747 Haha, I haven't tried yet, but I don't think static grass applicators are too good at slicing foam

@@hobbyit Honestly the hot wire cutter is probably better at applying static grass than the static grass applicator is at slicing foam!

That's cool. I would love to see it. I have touched the wire by accident. it's hot but it didn't burn, but I wouldn't recommend it, and i imagine sustained touching would burn.

Modpoge is too keep things in place, you can use it for art to keep it intact and not get ruined. Flock is just fluffy fibres that is used for mostly grass in dioramas.

Thanks for sharing, I agree I would usually go darker and grimier, I wonder if some washes might help it appear more complete not sure how well they stick to metal. Worth an experiment though I think.

Hi, its called Grassy Fields, this one is 3ft x 3ft, You can get it in a number of places but I got mine from Wayland Games www.waylandgames.co.uk/grassy-fields-gaming-mat-3x3-bstxx002

The makeup brushes made a huge different for me on the terrain, plus the set I bought has lots of brushes of varying sizes, which is handy. I don't think you need any additional support on the connection, I tested with just hotglue and it took a lot of pressure to break it apart, the foam gave way before the glue did.

Oh thats an interesting idea, I've heard of doing pink under yellow, but never considered an undercoat of yellow, I might give that a go

@@hobbyit works especially well with red contrast paints over yellow. Almost creates that pre-mesbg red era brightness.
