Thank you for this video. I have the same kit , but have yet to install it. I noticed your sound deadening in the trunk. Did it really live up to the hype of making everything quieter?.. I watched your front speaker install video a while back.. Did you install some deadening in your doors as well? Which brand radio and model do you have in your car now?

Also not trying to plug another 240 channel, But "Whiteland restorations" on UA-cam has created a masterpiece 240. I think he spent over 6 months on the body alone. And it's painted the same color as yours. Anyways great stuff, keep up the good work.

How is University Max, but I forgot what's your major... ??? That front part just under the bumper is called an "Air Deflector". Unfortunately, my wife calls it the "squirrel killer" but it happens. The Volvo looks fantastic and it fortuitous you released this part of the evolution of your 240DL, because I replaced all the trim pieces on my 240 DL Volvo Wagon that belonged to my Mother and it's getting detailed plus a high gloss polish. Although I'm still waiting for the new lamps for the rear. She deserves it, because it just went past the 300K mile mark, so I'll be getting a new badge to place on the grill. The paint on mine is still the original metallic beige and as long as their polished, then they don't fade. Well, the only exception is blue and silver color. There was suppose to be a "formula issue" so they do need to be repainted. Next on the agenda is to work on the 740 GLE that belonged to my Father, which is past the 500K mile mark. It's funny that the 240DL held up much better aesthetically than the 740 GLE, but it suppose to be more "foofy" with a plush interior, etc. It will take more effort, time, and money in the future. Please, please, please don't paint the side trim that's chromed, except for the parts beneath the doors. It's just the principle of the aesthetic and the trim pieces still look very good, so if it isn't broken, then don't fix it. Other than that, the Sports Wagon doing great, so Max that's what's been up with me. Now you have to say what's next..... ???

Such an awesome project to show off. Thank you so much for this. I wish racing seats were more plentiful. Even with the stock seat, i'm way to tall for the original car, seeing the headroom made me cringe a little.

I've had many Volvo 240s but never with wind up windows. Also I'd go 5.25 front, 6.5 back doors 6x9 rear shelfs. Then go with 10 inch Infinty or JBL for trunk. Wheel well is a good spot or one side of rear shelf.

Were you able to roll your front windows all the way down without hitting the speaker from inside the door?
