    Thank you for explaining, I was trying to figure out. how to use this and you helped me out! I wanted to know how to do reverse reverb and not have it sound running through the song. because I asked my music engineer on he did that on my song (Alopecia) but he didn't wamna tell me. so, I realize, I needed to add a bus channel and I needed some delay to it.

    It's looking like one cannot save their own customized patterns to a list, which I find mystifying. Why wouldn't they allow users to save custom patterns? Also, why the arbitrary division between acoustic and electronic kits? Many drummers have kits with mixed acoustic and electronic elements. Another bizarre limitation imposed by Apple.

    • @knuckledustermusic
      @knuckledustermusic 12 днів тому

      If you go to the preset menu in the season player, you can save your own preset patterns there. I think the main division between acoustic and electric comes down to the software instrument being used. Acoustic kits come from Drum Kit Designer and the electronic kits come from the Drum Machine Designer (where yes you could still use acoustic samples). Cheers Georges

    This is ridigilous concept. You never get used to "neutral" sound when you switch room to another or tweek settings. Listen a lot of reference tracks with monitors / headphones you have. Know you stuff rather. I use room correction of course, but i've committed to that sound.

    • @knuckledustermusic
      @knuckledustermusic 13 днів тому

      I agree that you won’t get used to a room if you keep switching while mixing. That’s why I recommend sticking to one room and get to know it just like you would with your own room and monitors. Use the other rooms to check your mix near the end of the process the same way you would in the car or on other systems. Cheers Georges

    You have spent so many hours making all these videos and you know this program truly inside and out. Sharing that with the world (and a measly 5k subs) is really a blessing for those of us with blank spots in our brains when it comes toddling something we don't know how to do, then it's "hmmm WTF would Georges do?" And voila, there's a video you did on that specific part of Logic Pro. Truly the Professor of Logic Pro, so many thanks. Your audience is somewhat esoteric - there are lots of Logic users out there but most folks start with GrarageBand then come to LP. I know I did - but then I stopped doing any kind of production for years. Coming back to it, I wanted to use both products (GB has beginner stuff that's easy to use on my iPad, for examples and can port to LP). With just a few of your videos I've had many "aha" moments from my GB time, and LP does it the same way. But LP has, as you said in another video, SO MANY ways to treat a track, several tracks, hell it's like "Oh you never thought of that before? Well LP can do that six ways from Sunday!" Can't thank you enough for the time and effort you've put into this series.

    Alright bro, I have you to blame (and my weakness for the best stuff) for my recent purchase of Logic Pro 11.1. There are quite a few reviews out there saying it crashes all the time and whatnot - I either haven't pushed it that hard or the problems are solved. I moved the libraries to my external drive (same one I use for videos) which was many Gb's of data - whew. Now I need to learn how to use it! M2 Mini with only 8 Gb RAM so that could cause a few hiccups I suppose. But plenty of processing power.

    Thanks for your valuable information. The only thing I missed is the part that has to be done before Logic comes into play. The setup in the Audio-MIDI Setup in Mac OS. If you have a midi interface, you should configure all your synth/keyboard there. This has the advantage that the correct device name is then displayed in Logic and all other programmes. This step may not be necessary when connecting via USB. I am not sure about this point.

    I'm intrigued, but I have a quick question. I thought the whole point of these was to do all the legwork for you regarding the room acoustics. Why is there an EQ feature (@ 8:07)? If I'm listening to the Steven Slate room, but then decide to turn on the eq and bump the low end up a bit, isn't this defeating the whole purpose of the phones and room model? I realize I could just leave the eq off...but why is the option even available in the software if the whole selling point of this is to model the sound of the rooms as they are? If I decided that my mix lacked a little something in the low end, it seems like fixing that in the mix is the solution as opposed to adjusting the room model. Still intrigued, however 😛

      If the devices in your aggregate device aren’t synchronized using hardware, you need to enable drift correction, also known as resampling, to compensate for drift in the data between devices. So you'll want any software devices (BlackHole or Soundflower) to have drift correction enabled. You can read more about it here: support.apple.com/en-ca/guide/audio-midi-setup/ams094c7edb4/mac#:~:text=Enable%20drift%20correction&text=Choose%20your%20aggregate%20device%20settings,Correction%20checkbox%20for%20each%20device.
