@@knuckledustermusic Is it possible to add a more advanced bass line within Logic but use the bass sounds from the new Session Bass player? I have a midi file so wanted to use the bass line from that? Cheers
is there a simple way to have it play ONLY downstrokes? i can easily change from fingerstyle to pick but it always does alternate picking. for punk and indie stuff, downstrokes would sound a lot better.
If you open up the Studio Bass plugin, go to the top center where it says "Articulation". There's a pull down list and you can select "Down Only". Cheers Georges
@@knuckledustermusic I tried that. It seems to only work for future inputs - like I select that and then when I play new notes on my midi controller they will be downstrokes. That dropdown doesn’t seem to do anything for the session player.
@@hitherescotty convert the region to MIDI, and then in the Piano Roll select all your midi notes and assign them using the Articulations pull down menu in the piano roll. I hope that helps. Cheers Georges

Any idea why my bass region is automatically set to -12? I can't seem to be able to change that in the region inspector. I could transform to midi but that defeats the session player idea :)

Have you been able to get “articulations” to work once the track is MIDI? The articulations appear, but when I try to apply them, nothing happens.
Open the Piano Roll (p), select your midi notes, and then assign the articulations using the pull down list in the piano roll.
I hope that helps.

@@knuckledustermusic Thank you. This is precisely what I tried to no avail.

Do you mean the volume fader is set to -12 or the output you're seeing is at -12?
