I respect the heals but I hate that this game forces us to do wand BOW to do max heals. I prefer the wand staff playstyle for CC/mana burn and heals. It's a sweaty match whenever we are against a wand bow. Still looking for strategies to counter wand/bow. I'm also a masochist in every game I play looking for off-meta styles haha. This video is perfect for the feelings i have while i play this game. In the last past 2-3 weeks i was thinking to switch from wand/bow to a dps build with staff/bow. Yesterday, after beating a t2 boss, the whole party wrote "gg healer", "nice job" etc... i was really happy and proud of my class, but, damn man, it happens rarely. During the pvp i feel useless, i cannot heal my party properly, the targeting system is trash ( playing on ps5 ) and dying every 2x3 cause i got aimed by 3-4 players. I have almost 3.8 gp and i don't think it will be better at the end. Living in a limbo and I don't know what to do... Ps. English is not my first language, still learning and improving it Xd. I hope i expressed my point of view and feelings.

A good idea could be adding a new suppport class only focused in removing cc, maybe increasing heals or giving shields

I actually dropped healing touch completely for my gvg build. I would use it to top off and then right after, someone would need big heals and swift would be on CD. So I would rather not have my oh shit button be on cd when I need it…

There is no real heal spec after healing touch change. Just supports. You basically can do any dungeon if people are doing mechanics.

healers are already tough to fight against in arena if u look at top ranks are mostly healers its not that healers are bad in arena its just you bro

When the global release came out I start with longbow/wand planning to be support and healing. Then I learned what a punishing, unforgiving and thankless job it was in the game and immediately went bow/staff and haven't looked back. Since then it's gotten somewhat better but it's still a very unrewarding role in this game, unlike other games.

Tier 15-20 is easy. You casuals need to stop staring at cool downs and memorize rotations, shut the hell up and only open your mouths to call out mechanics. Players coming off wow are too spoiled with add-ons doing their job for them. Put adult pants on and use forward thinking.

Honestly… is a general healer/support leaderboard and one for sieges, stone wars etc too much to ask for? Can’t believe it hasn’t already been implemented…

We need end game stats in pve like pvp

one simple solution is to add dps AND healing meter on pve dungs ! so ppl can see what is happening. and if you notice ur healer has XX amount that means he actually is good. compare to a healer with X amount . the only issue that it bothers me as healer main is that in pve its up to the player to stay alive on the 1shot mechanics and not the healer...but 9 out of 10 players dont get that.....

4.2k healer hardcore pvp guild (non-zerg). What is most draining for me is the lag of recognition from the game. I don't get assists or kills and I barely get boss-contribution for drops. The only thing keeping me going is half my guild begging and fighting to be in my party as I am the only healer they know that can carry them through multiple xbow spins. PvE one shot mechs are fine imo, the game should be scaled difficult enough that the dps are forced to play the intended mechs. Doing t1-t2 dungeons and just facetanking absolutely everything because I outscaled the content gets boring real quick. (Even though healing through and completely facetanking the Voidwaste breath was a big dopamine rush.) Arena (1900+): if you get chain cc'd and die from getting ganged up on, you should focus on buffing yourself instead of the team and act as the tank. There have been so many matches where all 3 dps fire everything at me and are unable to kill me on the first engagement, give up and call GG. Bigger parties: Sounds incredible but also a balancing nightmare. Your guild/alliance members outside of your party needing you to heal them just indicates either a lag of a healer in their party, or that healers skill issue. Honestly, managing six health bars while also keeping track of all the tornados, rotations, dagger - xbow/gs players that got me feuded, and listening to calls, is already overwhelming enough. Player interaction: Never been kicked for bad heals or flamed, which might just be luck. Playing with guild members probably also helps mitigate some of this. On the flip side, I also very rarely if ever get complimented when queuing up solo. Christmas wish: please give me an in game leaderboard for heals during events, damage prevented and/or assists for healing. Something that makes me want to push harder and improve my gameplay.

This video really resonates with me as a healer.. I also would like an archweapon from the bosses. There isnt really a good weapon for healers nowadays from archbosses.

The one shot mechanics should be down to the tank to taunt at right time and tanks must have a certain threshold of hp and buffs from healer to with stand it that way players would have an easier time and the party lives

I just hate getting focused in pvp and not being able to do anything meaningful in my 3 second engagement lifespan. On the pve side… feels like I don’t get rewarded for doing something that no one else wants to do.

I recently ditched my healing build for spear and it was a great decision. Healing is not fun in this game and I got sick of people always complaining they’re not getting healed when they can’t dodge or block a single furry attack. I’m 4200cp and as a healer it was not fun at all. Now with my spear dps build I get way more kills in conflicts.

If i recall time for punishment is just for yourself.. if u want it to be for your party you can spec it to be put on a party member of your choosing

Many mmos I know have a revive system for their healers. Long cast time, long cooldown, you need to be near the corpse to revive, and teammates won't be revived at full health so that it won't be op and you still need to be tactical about it. I think it'll be nice to have for wand

There’s a couple different barriers that help prevent 1 shot mechanics - but yea at the upper tier people have to be not dumbasses. Kinda makes sense.

Here's my list, with more detailed focus on *bow/wand* and less on the overall healer experience: - Sharing cooldowns between *Healing Touch* and *Swift Healing* was a significant mistake and should be reverted. The reason we use *bow/wand* instead of going for extra damage with a staff is because of the additional healing potential. The synergy was ruined by making these abilities share a cooldown. - When used with area specialization, *Blessed Barrier* should behave more like *Clay Salvation* or *Invincible Wall*, rather than being similar to *Curse Explosion*. - Invincible Wall at level 5 is not very effective and doesn’t make a big impact. A better design could involve scaling the shield based on the target’s missing health, allowing it to act as a "sponge" until healing cooldowns are ready. - Purifying Touch goes on cooldown even if the target has no debuffs and cleanses nothing. A better design would be to refund the cooldown entirely if no debuffs are removed. Ideally, the ability could: - Prevent usage if the target has no debuffs. - Or, grant a buff (e.g., *27% attack speed*) regardless of whether the target was cleansed. --- I love playing healer. I’ve been playing healers for over 20 years across many MMOs, and it’s the only class I truly enjoy. If they keep nerfing it, I’m leaving the game.

As a healer, I run about 700 collision resist.. im rarely getting tossed around on the purple lake map.

Unfortunately I heard on the discord and reddit that the skill resistance debuff does not work for others, only you. After testing I came to the same conclusion. I have put the skill specialisation with 220 boost, so I can give it to a staff/longbow or another good dps.

I love how most people complain about how difficult mechanics are when all they have to do is dps and watch thei own heal bar, they have no idea

People flame healers and expect to be babied in arena. I'm "OOM healers should run mana specs", "why are you not healing me" meanwhile they are getting one shit with their 9k HP, and "why is the enemy healer healing more than you" when they don't even run anti-heal skills in their kit 😂. I can't with people sometimes in arena and it's usually the people stuck in low elo flaming you.

Slowly getting harder to find healers or tanks to do dungeons too, and yes, i do play healer, but sometimes i want to dps😅

Played healer since the start. But find it more and more boring. Regular farming is just a hassle, you require a second skill set to do it on a mediocre level and then it only feels like a chore, no fun. I never did the solo dungeons because I know it will be a waste of time. Overall, I'm looking at respeccing just to get a new experience in the game

Dumbing boss fights down because DPS is trash, that is a horrible idea. This is why damage counters in the game is a horrible idea. DPS will get even more laxidasical and just ignore mechanics all together. I have a 3,800 CP Healer and I quit healing because of how dumb the DPS is in this game. Heelers just need to stop healing and let the DPS smarten up. They should not change the game just because people are dumb. #heelerstrike.

I'll add as a caveat to this list that when it comes to GvG, heal selfishly. Prioritize your healthbar over the healthbar of your squad. It sounds counter intuitive, but healers in PvP are essentially tanks that the enemy can't ignore. Normally tanks don't do much damage, so they can be safely bypassed to kill dps first, and then get mopped up later. Healers can't be ignored because of our ability to keep our own dps users in the fight, so any competent guild is going to try to dive healers especially hard. Use all of your cooldowns keeping youself alive and in the fight for as long as possible, as any single-target damage you absorb is damage not focused on killing the dps characters that are the real threat. This also means that your positioning matters a lot more, as you know with 100% certainty that multiple dps characters WILL come to kill you every fight. You can use this to your advantage by positioning on the outside of your backline, so that any aoe skills targeted at you ONLY hit you instead of your main ball, while also drawing valuable dps characters to the outside of your main formation, where they are most vulnerable. Your primary concern should be keeping yourself alive in GvG, you can't heal your team if you are dead. If you're the first to die in your squad because you sacrificed yourself to save them by comprimising your own position, or burnt important cooldowns to keep their health topped off 100% of the time, then you probably let them down.

What’s the best way to ally target heal on controller? I always had issues figuring out how to reliably enter and scroll in the party menu so I just switched to AOE heal/support only. For most PVE content it’s enough anyways, but I would like to play the role to its full potential.
