Hey healers! This video is very different from my normal, but I felt like this would be the best way to portray my honest thoughts on the potential nerf to bow/wand healers. If you don't have time for the whole video, here is a quick bottom line: -BOW/WAND is and will STILL BE the best healers in the game. -Yes, bow healing got nerfed slightly, but it is not enough to stop us from being the most potent healer in the game. We just now need to adjust our playstyle and manage cooldowns more intentionally -Wand has been buffed and adjusted which are all good things for us, but also received a synergy nerf when using bow. Essentially, our swift healing cooldown will match healing touch so that we can't spam heals -Overall, I will have to wait to see how it actually plays when the update comes in order to give the best opinion, but ultimately, this seems more like a rebalance than hard nerf. Interesting, healers "heal too much", but unskilled monkeys running around invisible and then spinning and killing whole galaxy is not enough and needs more buff. Yeah, totally makes sense.
Healers get fucked in every MMO ever. In WoW they need to do everything. In FF14 they're barely even needed cuz tanks sustain the shit out of themselves. In T&L they are only useful in the beginning before people are geared and know mechanics. And with all the tutorials online people can learn mechanics before the game even comes out.... Even 1-2 weeks after release I barely have to heal in dungeons now. Heals are only ever useful in large-scale PvP... A pity cuz I like wand but I don't like feeling like my support role is pointless most of the time.
if you die to a scorpion its totally your fault. it takes 0.5 sec to dash away from them or 0.5 sec to tp on him and nuke him down. the only time they kill me is when im cced and my anti cc trinket is on cd but tbh every class should be able to kill me then. its 100% skill issue on your end
@@Enm1ty Yeah, me as healer, with pretty much no DMG skills can kill all 10 beyblades who comes out from "immortality" and spins at whole backline. You must be one of those unskilled monkeys, who farming kills coz You need 2 IQ to play it. ;D
I am a healer as wand and bow, and healers are so rare in this game as we sacrifise many things when you want to become a true healer to give more heals. You cannot become a healer if you go for dps and tank perspective, there is no middle point for healers, and we don't have damage, survivability, mobility, any reliable CC to make us to do good combo to defeat anyone or CC lock like other every DPS weapons combo builds are doing. Thy buff every DPS weapons while nerfing healing, healer survivability and so on. It is not about adapting anymore. Do you know how much damage a crossbow, bow, greatsword, staff are doing in an insane fast speed with tons of combo, CC lock and so on? 60 seconds cooldown for a mere shield will last for one second against a buffed crossbow, bow, greatsword, staff weapon as these DPS weapons have very short cooldowns!!! Thy want remaining %1 of healers to quit this game as the game is not good to change your whole build and gear easily at lvl 50 already!!! if you want to do it at lvl 50, be ready spend thousands of Dollars by buying Lucent to stock all of your traits and so on!!! Both developers and publishers are not even playing their own game, especially the healers. Already heal targeting is so bad too...
Also for the burning time, it’s a curse and gives a block reduction. It’s new use is to use on enemy tanks to stop them from blocking as many attacks, not to make you more tanks is how I read that.
Speaking about the shield, current is at any hp when taking any kind of debuff with a very low cooldown. Basically meant any time a crossbow would spin, because of their poison, it would always proc.

Just look at your gameplay the nerf is really not needed. Youre 3v3 arena doesnt look gamebreaking at all. Sure we dont die but we also do zero damage.. and its honestly not hard to focus the heals and insta melt him.
Thats great i started off wand and staff but re-rolled to wand longbow to be an overall healer. Put alot of time and money into my build. First steps of killing mmo's target the healers. Lets just look the other way to the cc's and 10 sec stuns not able to fight back and then dead. Not to mention as a true healer we have shit dps so we should make up for it in being tanky and having a fun rotation/good heals. Many other builds needed a big nerf before wand longbow ever got one but instead they get buffs and its not exactly easy to just re-roll to another build. This game is going to fall in with the rest of the mmo's.
i'd understand if they reduce the healing capabilities of Healing Touch, but to share CD with Rapid Healing? it's my secondary heal for reckless ppl in dungeon 😞
Yup, a lot of reckless players are going to be dying in my dungeons now. They better get good fast. Seriously though better players need way less healing, it will just be harder to carry the bad ones now.
Surprised at how passive u r to bow heal nerf. The extra CD was only real reason to take bow. And with Staff buffed it's clear the heal meta is going back to Wand/Staff. Game doesn't want pure support class.
Hows the testing going after the patch? About ready to start the game for first time and was going to go for the bow wand Think Staff wand would be a better choice?
So we haven't seen the healing touch/swift healing change to global yet, but once we do, I'll give my thoughts! Bow wand is awesome for pure heals and staff wand is great for aoe damage and support. Depending on your playstyle, I would experiment with both throughout your leveling phase to see what you like better!
60sec cool-down will have people remove the passive 100% and the build you talk about we already have it, Endurance and evasion and max str. BUT we still get nuked to cinders,
I'm fine with games making meta changes but in a game like this it will take months to get that mastery skill up again if you have to change up a weapon. I hope in the future they add mastery exchange books like they have for the skills. I feel like it will be needed
Yeah, no I absolutely agree with you. Chain cc should never really be a thing in just any sort of game, whether it's competitive or casual, because not being able to fight back is completely and totally fun.If we hate bosses doing it, what makes you think people with their grubby little cheeto hands who can easily exploit, it would be a better option.
It's kinda unlucky for healers.. imagine have zero dmg and have only heals.. and they will nerf it >.> The problem is like on our servers we have so freaking small amount of healers, nobody want to play it.. and it's like 4-5 healers for one big guild now and for real every guild now looking for healers. Imagine focusing on the smallest amount of players and debuffing thing which is only one which they have - heal. I was already thinking about switch class cuz all time getting focused and have literally zero chance to kill someone cuz only dps spell which u have is basic attacks or snare arrow which do like 300dmg :D
How often was your shield procing mine has a ten percent chance so 1 out of ten times I wouldn’t get nuked . I don’t think that was a problem at all being the target of everyone in the gvg…
Yeah it's about the same for me. Seems random, but when it happens it's pretty nice! Wonder if the 60s cooldown for the shield, when it comes, will make a big difference?
Just started lvl 23 now. Been bow/wand? Should i stick with it? Kinda seems like it, since i cant roll back all the bow skills ive spent. Staff is cool
Honestly, you are at the perfect level to start experimenting with both and find out which one suits your playstyle. Eventually, you will be getting skill transfer items if you want to make the hard switch for end game, but for now, try going to a lower level area and try out some of the staff spells to see if you like that gameplay! If you want pure heals, stick with bow wand. If you want more of a support/dmg, then go with staff wand. Hope that helps!
Help it make sense. Staff/Wand - Evasion passive naturally way overtuned to make it tanky, Mana Regen to be able to spam Swift Healing, Insane Peel CC for large-scale, Decent damage output capable of 1vXing and actually killing people Bow/Wand - Endurance passive but can still get chunked. Has to stack Mana Regen to be able to spam Swift Healing, Damage output is poor. Everyone I knew were on the fence switching to bow/wand to staff/wand even before the changes. Now there's just no reason to play Bow/Wand. I am struggling to see any positive. There's also lingering nerf demands pretty universal throughout the community for the Flash Arrow/Tornado spam on the Bow. If that gets nerfed even slightly Bow/Wand is definitely in the gutter.
I main bow/wand/staff and feel way better about that now. It takes more effort to level and skill the three but grants more versatility when devs do adjustments like this.

People are over exaggerating. I feel like half these players probably never even used healing touch to begin with. I use it all the time but it’s not game breaking once the nerf happens. Bow is still top tier for its healing flash arrow, natures blessing hp/mp recovery and purifying touch ( which will also apply healing touch)
We Will still not use The “less useable skills” they are mmo stupid, and dont understand How mmo classes should work, they want to make a skill based system yet uses weapon skills as a system, they forgot their path

I am sure some of you retards are literally zero on IQ. Healers aren't supposed to die in such small scale combat unless they are properly cc'd and focused. Otherwise what would be the point of the role in any area whatsoever. Do yourself a favour and stick to dps only games, there's plenty of them.

T_T and I just upgraded my bow to full... now I want to change it for another weapon.... they should nerf the daggers instead of the bow.
