"No up, down" Love you Lisa!! 🤣😍Wow! Beautiful scenery at the overlook! Don't go down the dunes if you can't climb back up! Leland was a very fun looking, cute town. M22 sticker, so cute! Next, the U.P. YAY!! Really fun video you guys!! 😍 - Jim & Michelle
Rick - I met you at Holland State Park, fellow Airstreamer. Glad to see you guys were able to enjoy Sleeping Bear and all that Northern Michigan has to offer. We love it up there, so many beautiful things to see. You will want to be back!
Great video, We live at the bottom of the state near the IN boarder, we go up there a couple of times a summer and as long as we've been going there we always see something very new. Love that Traverse city area, but we are in love with Ludington. Chain sox? WOW great idea! Thanks for sharing. -Keith
Keith… thanks for watching and the comments. Checkout @luvsubbin for the ChainSox. Not sure when they will be available, but it’s a great product. Happy camping and safe travels. - Rick & Lisa
Thank you so much for sharing your adventures and challenges with your Airstream. I am second guessing myself now whether I should invest in an Airstream in the future or not. Paying 200K for this product, I’d have high expectations for quality, durability and reliability and thus far I had the opportunity observing many channels complaining about all the trouble with Airstreams. I do hope that your trouble come to an end soon and wish you guys safe and happy travels ahead.
Thanks for watching. However, I would tell everyone… don’t buy any RV if you’re looking for a “return on investment” other than the opportunity to travel and make memories. Sure the Airstream will break from time to time, but as long as we are having fun and making memories it’s been worth it. Happy holidays and safe travels.
Love the video thank you i have been trying to find sleeves or socks for my chains since we’ve had our Airstream we would love to get some for ours maybe even get our Airstream name on it ❤
Reach out to Rich & Cindy @luvsubbin They are great people and might be able to help you out with the Chain Sox. BTW great idea on getting your Airstream name on it.
Great fix on the dead bolt, I assume you were able to hammer it back into shape without damaging it. What size were those large head rivets and where did you source those stainless steel zip ties. I see this repair in my future. Thanks for another great video.
I just used a ball-peen hammer to gently tap the deadbolt carriage into shape. The large head rivets I used were AD54ABSLF. I got them from the Airstream Supply Company. I believe I bought the zip ties from Menards. Hope this helps.
Airstream lost its way along with Winnebago. My dead bolt broke in 1/2. How did that happen? It’s so sad. We been to Traverse City twice on two separate RV trips, 2015 & 2016.
Great video as always! Thanks for shouting out our Chain Sox. We got some really positive feedback at International and will be rolling them out soon.
We really love the Chain Sox. A great product made with high quality material. I expect that they will provide many years of service.

I saw someone had a sewer hose condom the other day---the chain sock reminds me of that.
🤣🤣

**Update: here is the correct rivet that I used AD68ABSLF. You can get them at Airstream Supply Co.
Great video! How did you bend the dead bolt back into shape? Beat it with a hammer? We need put Michigan on the bucket list.
The deadbolt carriage can be gently tapped into shape with a small hammer.
Mike…I am sure you will love Michigan.
