Now into part 3 we continue with the cleaning and inspection of the second fork tube, which again took some work to clean out the bottom, follow by its reassembly. Then cleaning the thread of the bottom bracket against the new nut it turned out the bracket thread was still good.
A tool was fabricated for the neck cup installation. The Next cleaned and repaired to fit the new parts. The new bearing, greased and installed into the parts for the neck reassembly.
The riser mating surfaces were also repaired before the reassembly of the top of the front end.
Finally the fork tubes were reinstalled into the bottom bracket and aligned so that the headlight fixture could be re-installed.
