This is only one part of luxury in Pnom penh. The vrest of the country is in poverty I should think.
That’s a lie, Cambodia is still listed as the least developed country in the world fyi.
I found out ; According to a U.S. State Department official, Americans are advised against putting souvenir stamps in their passports, as they can be considered ‘damage' to the document: ‘only authorized officials of the United States or of foreign countries may place stamps or make notations or additions (…)‘. clearly stated on page five of all U.S. passports warning holders that the ‘alteration or mutilation' of a passport (and this includes non-official stamping) is unauthorized ...maybe suggestions to stamps old invalid passport
I put the stamp on my old invalid passport, not the new one.
@WandererBell I also got my passport wet and may need to renew before my next trip. Ziplock bags not waterproof while I did Rafting.
@@kelvinyschun The new passport has a new design. You will like it. I recommend you get the big book (50 pages) and also get a passport card. You can apply for both on the same application.
@WandererBell I just sent the damaged book for a China VISA not knowing about damaged passports. I must wait for it. I will go to the Harbin ice festival and Japan Snow Festival.
@@kelvinyschun Sending a passport by mail makes me anxious. I don't fully trust the mail. Enjoy your trip. You seem to have a lot of adventures recently.
Dentist in Cambodia is so good. Cheap price with high quality.😊
Good to know, thanks for sharing!
You did such a good job on this tour thank you so much
Just wanted to share some history about the area. This place was a vast lake outlet and they filled it up to build gated communities. We used to come here during weekend getaway with family for fishing and relaxing way back in the 1960s. There are currently 11 gated communities with different styles, sizes, and prices. It can start from over $100,000 to over few million dollars. Each community has its own security guard 24/7 and only people who live there can be allowed unless with owner's permission. I've lived here for over ten years now and it's very safe and quiet. They also have condo and houses for rent with affordable prices. Each community has its own playgrounds and fairness center. This Borey Peng Houth Gated Community is privately built and owned by one person and he's well-known as a Khmer real estate investor billionair. He also owns a few more in different area. There is a sale office by the main front gate for more details about the gated communities. They also gave everything like internal schools, sport clubs, and markets to suit all kind of your desires. Sharing is caring. Peace from a genocide survivor there✌️
Thank you for sharing such detailed history and insight about the area. It really adds depth to the video! It is fascinating to hear how it transformed from a lake outlet to a thriving community and your personal experience makes it even more meaningful. Peace and respect to you. 🙏
Cambodian are arrogant people same as the thais and Vietnamese.
That luxurious building is empty because it's only meant for ceremonies such as wedding reception, company event etc. It's a place for rent for events, not a residence.
That’s a huge building. I hope they have enough events to justify the cost of building and maintaining it.
@@WandererBell Peng Huot is one of the most profitable housing businesses, so I think they’ll do well. I’m not sure when you visited, but they usually have evening events, especially now during wedding season. By the way, hosting weddings here is exclusive to the elite.
I visited it last Monday on Nov 25th.
@@WandererBell I see. Monday is usually not a wedding day in Cambodia. That's why it looks quiet.
You can rent that massive building for any event you want (seminar, marriage, etc...)
It is an area for upper middle class in Phnom Penh. Very beautiful and luxurious neighborhood.
It really is! I was impressed 👍
👍🥰💝💕
Dentists in Cambodia is cheap and good as most of them were trained in Germany.
Awesome! Thank you.
I recommend for you to visit Angkor Wat in Siem Reap
I am going there soon.
You brilliantly bring out the best of every country you visit.
Glad to hear that! Thank you🙏
There is a 48th floor sky bar at Morgan tower call La Vida Skybar. Sky bar open after 6pm and it’s free… get the best of PP at night. Very awesome! Check it out.
In Denmark we had a prinse, married to the queen. He was born and grew up on Vietnam under French colonial rule. The family went to France when the US took over after France. Later he married our queen. He was called prins Henrik. Danish for Henri
That’s so interesting! Thanks for sharing about Prins Henrik and his connection to Vietnam and Denmark.
I miss Cambodia so much
It looks modern
Some areas look very modern and luxury. A lot of constructions throughout the city. The UN will officially remove it from the LDC list starting from 2029.
Wasnt Cambodia a French colony once
I think it was under the French colonial rule for almost 90 years.
Thank to neighboring countries that want war, Cambodia have no choice but to call for help from the French.
France was Cambodia's protectorate, not colonizer.
Great city …😅😊

FYI, local people don't call it "Russian market" but "Tourl Tumpoung" market
China stole Cambodia
UN troop's in Cambodia in the 90's using USD for everything that's why it's a dual currency system
scammers and call centers of asia. dirty and poor country. DONT GO
You can extend your visa for one, two ,three months, a year or more, check out online or ask any expats there. By the way , did you visit Phnom Penh’s Euro Park yet? You can see Arc de Triumph and Cham Elisee there.
I have not visited that park yet. First time I heard about it. I will go check it out. Thanks!
Thanks for your suggestions, I visited PH Euro Park and filmed some of it here: ua-cam.com/video/kvtFvuVYcC4/v-deo.html
Horrible. Sad. Humans are capable of committing atrocities. We must learn from the past. This was a hard watch.
It really is heartbreaking to see what people went through.
Aeon Mall 3 is the less crowded among all the shopping malls here in Phnom Penh as it is far away from down town but Aeon Mall 1 and 2 are much much more crowded for they are in the city center and you will find it hard to walk in the crowds😂.
I wonder why that mall was built outside the city center if there is not much demand.
@@WandererBell Because they anticipated demand. The new airport is on that side of city, will open next year. More and more construction projects are along that boulevard.
BKK is the term for English speakers. Most workers come from country side so they don't know much about the city dwellers.
What should I say if I ask any local where BKK1 is?
@@WandererBellBKK1 is where the place you asked those ladies in the coffee shop( they don't even know where they are working and they thought you were asking for where BKK market is😂). BKK in khmer is Beong Keng Korng, most locals know Beong Keng Korng rather than BKK and there are BKK1 BKK2 BKK3.
@@WandererBell If you get the P.P people and speak English they know or you can use your GPS.
Hi , BKK1 is called Beung kok 1 បឹងកក់ 1
@@naysimchim BKK refers to Boeung Keng Korng
People don’t wear short because some area requires one wear long pants to enter. For example if a local wear short to the airport he will be chastised. The rule only applies to the locals.
Good to know. Thank you!
I think most people don’t wear shorts for sun protection. Plus you’re not supposed to wear shorts into Cambodian temples
That makes sense!
Boeng Kork # 1
We do not go to Mall at 1PM. if you go in the evening, it will be crowded.
I have been traveling to 25 countries since 2013. I didn't quit my job. Instead, I traveled once or twice a year. In this way I can save money and time, I usually choose the city where you can see most of its culture, landmarks, and history. I don't travel more than two cities in one country because one or two cities' visit should be enough for a average guy to get the general understanding of that country unless you want to write a book about that country.
A lot of people who quit their jobs to travel prefer slow travel. They like to stay in one place longer to really get to know the culture and way of life, instead of rushing to see all the tourist spots. It’s cool how travel can work differently for everyone. Some like to move quickly and see the highlights, while others take their time and dig a bit deeper. Both are great in their own way!
"Boeing King Kong"? 😄😋. . The BKK area is mainly for expats. Should be a nice area.
Yes a lot of expats live in that area.
I was watching this other channel (coolvision) when researching more about Phnom Penh. It might come in handy if you want to visit places you may not have tagged. His channel is also about travel, by the way. ua-cam.com/video/hLSOTSEWBu0/v-deo.htmlsi=qRuSRk4M8go4GCOk
Yes, I just came back from Iceland in July and the tour guide told me this hot dog stand is the best in Iceland.
That’s awesome! Iceland is such a cool place. That hot dog stand is famous!
I'm guessing you're gonna visit Laos or Vietnam next. I think the local people prefer to dress modestly and protect their skin from the strong sun.
It is too hot here to wear long pants. Your guess about where I am visiting next is correct.
I dont see busses. But a lot of tuk-tuks
I have not seen buses either. Tuk tuks seem to be the most convenient transportation method within the city.
It is nice that they dont smoke
It’s such a relief to walk outside without having to worry about secondhand smoke
Even though the archirecture is foreign it feels like home. Some women are really pretty
I agree; the women here are so kind and beautiful.

Hey bro, I heard it’s not a good idea to withdraw money from ATM because of some fake bills. Go inside a bank instead and make sure to film the serial numbers as well
I usually use ATM machines that are attached to reputable banks. This applies to everywhere in the world, not only in Cambodia.
