    Took me exactly 1 hour on '25 Elite. A few items to be aware of and cautious with:
    - There are two Phillips head screws under the USB/AC/12V panel. These need to be removed to get the center trim panel to come off. Bend the vertical square black panel back slightly and you'll find them.
    - There was also a blue LED light next to the 12V connection we use. The wiring for it is short and it popped off while removing the panel. Easy enough to clip back in right before you reinstall the center trim panel.
    - There is only one connector under the auto stop, snow, and eco button - I was under the impression I might've been going for 1 of 3 initially. The tab pushes toward the driver side door - you'll feel it and hopefully you don't have fat fingers like me! Use fingernail on your left hand to exert downward on the connector ridge and you'll feel it when you hit the tab right and it releases.
    - He's a little unclear in the video where to put the idle stopper unit. You need to watch where the trim panels converge back together. I was able to push it up under the button/shifter panel into a void left of the shifter buttons.
    - Be careful not to zip tie the red 12v wire going down to the lower connection to a trim panel clip point. I didn't use any zip ties, just tucked the slack into voids and it stayed in place for reassembly.
    - Examine your trim clips upon removal to ensure the white piece didn't pop off the panel's male connection for them. I had one or two that I had to re-clip.
    - I tested to make sure it worked before reinstalling all the trim panels. Connections are all nice and positive/click, so it was pretty clear prior that the connections were good. Also check that your blue ambient light pointing to the square lower tray illuminates (that the aforementioned light stayed clipped in its spot during reassembly).
    - Note: the slide out tray that took place of the Blu-Ray player in 2025 stays put the entire time and doesn't need to be slid out/unscrewed/etc.

    FYI on the 2024 Elite model there are two Philips head screws at the bottom of the panel that covers the DVD player! If you pop the cover off below the DVD cover panel you will see them. It took me a while to figure out why it wouldn't go back together correctly and this was why. When pulled apart without removing these screws it brings the threaded inserts out with the panel. So, you need to remove these before trying to remove the DVD cover panel and it will save some headache in reassembly

    Took me 30 minutes. The only issue was plugging in the idol stopper to the van. On the 24 Touring the power outlet is on the right side instead of the left. Plenty of cable to get there without issues. Thanks for a great video.

    Just got done installing it. Anyone who is thinking of installing this should know that it is NOT easy to install. Took me an hour and half to do so. Taking it apart and putting it back was fine but disconnecting and connecting the Auto start connecter is NOT easy at all. There is a very small opening to disconnect and connect the module in. Im still not sure how he was able to do it with single hand. But anyways working as intended so far.

    I don't know how you were able to fit your whole hand under the switch, at best I barely fit a finger under, was very difficult to get new connector inserted back in place. I have a 2020 odyssey EX, no CD player. Maybe that makes a difference. Otherwise would have been as easy and straightforward as you show on your video. Thanks for the instructional.

      Well I’m glad to hear that you got it anyway!
      The panel with the idle stop button/shifter buttons can be unclipped slightly and lifted up to give more room. Like you said it is possible however to get it without unclipping but it’s a much tougher process.

    Where can I find those grey male and female connectors? Need them to make a t harness for my 2015 Pilot to disable ANC. I rather not cut the wires or depin them.

    • @idlestopper7486
      @idlestopper7486  Рік тому

      Hello! To disable the ANC unit, all you need to do is locate the unit and unplug it (usually behind the glovebox area on most Honda/Acura vehicles). Unplugging the ANC unit will fully disable the ANC System and it will not cause any warning codes or lights.

      @@idlestopper7486 thank you for your response but 2015 models have onboard mics, they do not have a standalone unit.

    After installing this in our 2022 Odyssey EX-L I get the error message when the car is turned on “Auto Engine Idle Stop System Problem” and the Idle stop icon appears amber and constantly flashes while driving.
    I disconnected the idlestopper and reattached the original cables and still get the error message. Is there something I might have accidentally disconnected during installation that would cause this error?

    • @idlestopper7486
      @idlestopper7486  7 місяців тому

      Hey Mark, it does sound like you have a connection loose or unplugged possibly causing your idle stop error message, especially if you removed the idlestopper and still have the same warning.
      Can I suggest that you disconnect your negative battery terminal for 10 min? This would clear out any stored codes or saved messages. After that, if you still have the error message, I would double check all of the connections that you had unplugged during your installation to make sure they are all plugged back in. If you were to have a connection unplugged and turned the ignition on, this would be the cause of the error.
      We don’t have any compatibility issues with our modules so I’m sure your issue is something simple. Please try the battery disconnect and let me know your findings. If it’s easier for you, you can contact us via email at idlestopautooff@gmail.com and we can help with further assistance if needed. If not, we can reply here also.

      @@idlestopper7486 Thanks for the fast reply! Turns out is it was a small wire harness that got disconnected when I pulled the trim below the steering wheel. Connected that back up and the error message is gone now.
      The video mentions around 1:25 being careful about the tube going to the sensor, but should also mention being careful about the wire harness that plugs in right above that tube.

      No problem and Glad to hear that you found the issue! I can certainly try and add that tip about the connection on that panel to the current video or add it to any newer videos that we produce. Thanks for the suggestion and again I’m glad to here all is well.

    the auto start/stop plug on my car is a 2 level 10-pin connector and it doesn't fit in the plug on the board.
    (it's 22 odyssey, seems like honda installed the wrong connector or something) any way we could swap the one we got out for the other option?

    • @idlestopper7486
      @idlestopper7486  Рік тому

      The Odyssey vehicles are all 7 pin single row connectors. Make sure the connector you have unplugged is the one attached directly to the idle stop off switch assembly. The connector you need is dark gray in color and will match your module.

      There may be another connector nearby that you are unplugging. It’s hard to see under that area but I assure you that the Odyssey connector is a dark gray single row 7 pin which is exactly the same as the connector on your idlestopper. All of the Odyssey of this generation have the same connector regardless of trim level or year. Just keep looking and I’m sure you will find the right one 😀

      It’s definitely not doing the same thing there’s a small micro controller in between there and it has a timer that counts after the engine turns on and after a say 5 or 10 seconds it sends a signal to activate the Button.

      Yes repetition can be easy but one can only have so many repetitions(especially mundane ones)before time is filled up or they become annoying. Save your time for something else, don’t waste it on pressing that button.
      $90 is well worth the time/thought savings alone, not to mention removing the constant reminder of something that you dislike about your vehicle 🚗
