I am a 23 year United States Navy Chief (retired). I have been building guitars since 1995. I apprenticed under Bill Zolla of Zolla Guitars in San Diego, Ca from 1995-2004.
From 2011-2015 I had the privilege to work for John Suhr as a production supervisor under Fender Master Builder Mike Ponce. Working alongside Master Builder Kenny Gin and Master Builder Jay Madore, I was groomed by the greats. It was a great opportunity and worked with some fantastic people.

Nice job slipping in the solo from 'Love Somebody' by Rick Springfield/ Tim Pierce! I've always loved that one as well. Also caught 'Summertime Girls"?! lol Can't go wrong with a little Dave Meniketti! He's one of the best guitar players from that generation, who doesn't get nearly the recognition he deserves. 'Somebody Save Me' is also one of my favorite go-to riffs!! I play the end of the riff w/ slides though. The guitar sounds amazing.

I agree. Seeing that they are newer I think most are doing them at the head seeing that it’s more convenient. My LTD Kami is on the head as well.

ever considered adding a brass claw to the back cavity?
Honestly, no. I never got in to the claw swap. Not to say that there may be a benefit… I just never chased that one. A lot of my mods are based on my time at Suhr. Listening to Jon and what he found beneficial. Some mods I do are based on my ear… and what makes the guitar more functional. Thank you for your comment!
I despise super Strat guitars. They’re so gimmicky and just daft. I wouldn’t mind one of these with a original Stratocaster trem though. If you set up a floating trem properly you can do just as much with them as any Floyd Rise nonsense. It’s all in the set up.
I agree! Scott Henderson is a great example. But different things for different people. I prefer a Floyd because I am a soldier of Edward. Your preferences are based on your influences. Chubtone offers 6 screw and 2 post options. I recommend you reach out to them and explore your options. They are fantastic guitars! Thank you for your comment.
is that real imitation snake skin or a vinyl wrap? thanks, great video, not sure how Performance can do these when Warren is a Charvel guy and Charvel releases these in their custom shop, but looks top notch for sure.
These are real Burmese Python skin, just like Warrens OG. The Charvel are painted snakeskin. Big difference. Thanks for your comment!
New sub #600! Dude, you have one hell of a collection behind you on the wall! I graduated in 1987 so I don't think I need to explain anymore LOL! I'm a Kramer guy, but love all the 80's superstrats. I had a real early Pacer with a factory blue burst finish and gold hardware. I also modded a Kramer Aero Star ZX30 and that was my #1 for over 30 years. And had Jackson's, charvel's, ibanez's over the years. Right on and rock on! \m/

Love your videos, 1k subs in a month hehe! Here's a good one. Which one would you suggest getting? San Dimas Pro Mod vs San Dimas Pro Mod Relic vs Satchel ? Couldn't get a MiJ(2011).
Thank you so much! The relic San dimas would be the choice. I’m very happy with the playability but I did do some mods, see my video. I like the strong rolled fingerboard and the broke in feel. Out of the box? I think the Satchel played the best but not 100% on the fishman. I like the JB. Hope this helps! Thanks for your comment.

That is one special yellow. Building my own Fenders for the last couple of decades, I appreciate all the fine points in the Custom Shops.I'm not sure if I prefer Fender to Nash at this stage , who also do some really outstanding work. Over time, I've come to appreciate some of the features on Ibanez and some other modern designs.Ironically, it was the older Charvel's and Schector's, - which seem to have really changed in a not positive way over the years, -that initially turned by head .I'll always prefer nitro and vintage output pickups, but I'm glad that Fender offer more modern neck specs now.
I agree….. I will be purchasing a Nash tele in the near future.
I tend to think of 5150 amps as "metal", but they really do have incredible "rock" tone...
Very versatile! My gain is usually around 5 on both channels for dirty… lots of head room!
I have one. HATED the neck, pickups and bridge, though. Put a scalloped Warmoth neck on it, swapped the Duncans for Dimarzios, installed a Gotoh 1996T bridge for the Floyd. Now it's perfect.

I have a c series plated 84 Baretta that looks exactly like yours except both humbuckers are black and the volume has a tone knob. It also has what I think is an FRT-5 floyd on it. It has the plastic washers on the trem arm. Any idea of the history of the FRT5s on that year's models?
