Nice! From what I remember, Chubtone was/is a forum member (either TGP or Rig Talk), and started by modding Charvel guitars to be more 80's correct. Then branched out to their own stuff.

Very solid shred machine. While I'm not normally a Floyd user (haven't used one since '88) I think it's good to have at least one ax with a Floyd, because it's the only trem you can go crazy on with any hope of staying in tune. I owned many axes like this one from Kramers to old Charvels and various kit builds. The JB/SSL6 combo is solid but these days I prefer the Tone Zone in strats. Also love the simple controls or a volume and three-way switch. That's all you need. Dig the tone from this demo. This was the most common sort of ax in my club days, although most axes you'd see were single bucker like old Charvels or a Kramer Baretta. That was the mentality in those days. You had a thirty-minute set, stick to the bridge, don't get fancy even thinking about a neck pup. Very single-minded era. But fun.

I despise super Strat guitars. They’re so gimmicky and just daft. I wouldn’t mind one of these with a original Stratocaster trem though. If you set up a floating trem properly you can do just as much with them as any Floyd Rise nonsense. It’s all in the set up.
I agree! Scott Henderson is a great example. But different things for different people. I prefer a Floyd because I am a soldier of Edward. Your preferences are based on your influences. Chubtone offers 6 screw and 2 post options. I recommend you reach out to them and explore your options. They are fantastic guitars! Thank you for your comment.
