It's yet more evidence of the men's rights movement's attempts to erase women from life and law and the saddest and most puzzling thing about it is that so many women support it . Can they really NOT see this for what it is ,misogyny in steroids ? It seems to me that there is an enormous amount of ENVY of women's reproductive capabilities ,mostly driven by men in dresses, and they WON'T allow us to own anything exclusively for FEMALES . They've already tried to take ALL of our names. like woman , mother etc ,they claim ALL of our female bodily functions like menstruation and breastfeeding for themselves ,they won't allow us to have women only clubs or meetings of any kind without men,and now they want to actually erase us from the pregnancy and childbirth process by rendering us invisible !! It's despicable and of course one of the main reasons behind ALL of this is the TRANSHUMAN agenda. I ,too am a retired midwife ( Scottish) with 43 years practice behind me and I shudder to think what might be happening to my former profession here at home. More of the same ,probably. How can ANY WOMAN or MIDWIFE support ANY of this ? They're also trying to abolish the word " midwife "and replace it with " birth attendant " as if we were just companions rather than professionals !! Keep fighting ,ladies the SANE world is with you. Women fought very hard over many years to win the right to vote in NZ.

As a retired midwife. Thank you for this. When I trained at AUT, it was drilled into us that 'midwife' meant 'with woman.' In other thoughts, this could get dangerous. What if a man identifies as a woman, demands to be assessed and a midwife comes face to face with a fallicd (or not) outie. Or the 'uncle' you mention wants to be 'assessed' as part of the decision making.

I remember the disabled community stating "Nothing about us without us." Makes me wonder how so many things that affect women have been pushed through without any consultation with women at all. It's just incredible!

when I was watching the Live Stream from the select committee at parliament it went mute part way through Di Landy's piece. So, I sent a message to them asking what had happened.

I have found that many parents think the RSE is a formal curriculum, whereas it is a set of guidelines, which schools should do nothing about until they consult with all the parents. I don’t think this has been happening in most schools. Parents who are aware need to follow through as these two have.

There are but two genders, established at conception, an XX or an XY. Nature allows no other options, humans might think they interfere with that but they are delusional. There are those people who have issues with the software they are issued with but to stand society on its head in pretending somehow nature can be made to be different causes more ills than it cures.
