From what I have heard Boxingday is a thing from old times where the rich had a lot of seervants. These servants would be at work for X-Mas, which made Boxingday "X-Mas" for the servants or the day where thee servants were to get gifts or something like that. (granted this is imply what someone said in a football studio). Similar to that where I live the schools always have a weeks vacation in early fall refereed to autumn vacation, this vacation was originally held for the kids to go help in thee field mainly to harvest potatoes but now a days I doubt even 1% of the kids help at harvest so it's simply vacation

ok, second thought. Hannelore is clearly being depicted on an emotional growth arc. Her reasoning for wanting to stay at home in Dunkelfelger has to do with emotional security. She doesn't want to become an icon. She wants to be seen as a person. I can't help wondering if eventually the story is intended to be crafted in a way where she eventually "grows up" and reaches an emotional stage of independence, eventually accepting (against all odds drama-like) a proposal from a love interest outside Dunkelfelger where she can be "her own woman" and not be bound by either her insecurities or the ditterheads at home. ps: Patrick, don't ever change. Yes I love Magpi but the teasing is just the right level.

Re the boards: Remember, most normal written communication wasn't on paper (a new technology then) or parchment (usually reserved for official contracts) but wooden boards. Part of the reason why the whole miscommunication with ditter contracts Dunkelfelger style came about with Ehrenfest was because to someone from Ehrenfest, it wasn't a contract unless it was on parchment, signed, and the contract magically bound. To Dunkelfelger, it didn't matter what it was on - boards were fair game for an official, contracted, terms-agreed ditter game. So for them, it wouldn't be unusual at all to write out the terms of an "official" ditter game on boards (including the schedule, etc.) and when signed have it be "legally binding" in a way most other duchies wouldn't consider it to be.

Bookworm Question related to the anime episode 1: At thee market Effa mention prices of some items, one of those is mentioned as 23 Lyon... ??? Do we have an explanation how they pay such an amount? Given their smallest coin is 10 Lyon. 1) Should we assume they buy 3 and round up like in modern day? 2) Assume it's sold in pairs of 10? 3) Assume they also have coin bits? 4) something else entirely what do you think?

FWIW I don't use X or Discord very much (like almost never unless I have a reason to actually go there) and neither has a setting that will pop me an ACTUAL EMAIL when someone I am following posts, so I wouldn't see a notification just because I don't go to the sites.
