Not as easy as I thought #moving
Leaving my home was not easy so many mixed emotions.
Growing up 4 children and grandchildren in my home.
Moving interstate to another place where I will start new.
Giving everything I owned to friends and Rotary.
Only taking a few things with us and starting over.
A new chapter in our life.
Hopefully easier and more fun 🤩

I spent the afternoon on Saturday with my cousins, Gino made pizza's then each one of us decided to make our own. Marco my husband is a legend he made The Godfather this pizza has traveled with us almost 35 years. It's just a simple pizza with mozzarella cheese, salami, red sliced capsicum, olives, heaps of garlic and oil and when it's finished fresh anchovies on top. Absolutely delicious! Life...

    Wondering if this forms a better protective barrier than the normal flour then egg wash method? Too often the egg just rolls off the flour and it’s a very thin coating anyway. So, I’m going to give it a go tonight with brie (using it before the breadcrumbs ) in the hope it will prevent the cheese oozing out into the oil....🤞

      @@cookcarmela really well! I used a pared down version 50:50 water/flour then the crumbs. Let it all rest in the freezer for about 40m. Makes a much crunchier coating than the egg wash method, which I preferred, but most importantly the seal was perfect and no cheese escaped! Was yummy, will have to make it again soon…. 🥰

    I have never seen Italian chicken soup made with tenderloins. In my childhood my mother would use an “older” chicken for soups. Sold as “steaming chickens”. The bones and skin make up the most important part of the soup. Both for Goodness and flavour. My Sicilian m/ in law did the same.

    • @cookcarmela
      @cookcarmela 4 місяці тому

      Yes I too make the chicken soup with the entire chicken, this chicken soup is made for people on the go!

  • @missmolly8529

    You would be better to use a food processor rather than a blender. The blender tends to liquify whereas the food processor can be pulsed to achieve a better texture. Especially with the beautiful walnuts. It is also much faster.

    We had this dish regularly in our childhood. However it was more the original way in a simple flour batter with salt and pepper. My mother was very particular and actually removed the head of each little fish!

    I will try that, caynee pepper is hot stuff, a bit of lemon with warm water, caynee pepper and olive oil, I just getting over covid, my Dr. said i don't need a booster shot for next 6mths, because my immune system kick in, however I was so sick, bloody aweful, if I got a RAT test in asap then contacted her to get antivirals by the time i did that, I started to recover, now if I turned up a Hospital I would have been contagious then they would have given me antivirals but I was so sick, I stayed indoors, now if I rang ambulance in the night which I came close to, they had to take a infected person contagious enough to affect all other patients in the hospital, the system at present is crazy

      I'm glad that you found that out, now. Try to stay away from acid foods, until your body has balanced itself out, drink plenty of water.
